Close 10 min walk to riverside restaurants. In a quiet residential street away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. Fantastic, friendly and attentive staff. Gorgeous garden and pool The shower in our room was not great - it would change from boiling hot to freezing cold every minute or so and was impossible to adjust to a good temperature. We loved our stay at Puripunn and if we ever go back to Chiang Mai we'll definitely stay there again. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The hotel was beautiful, the garden gorgeous and the pool was lovely. Our room was very quiet and comfortable and we loved the decor. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet residential street so you are assured of a peaceful and quiet stay. After the hustle and bustle of the markets it's great to come back to the peace of the hotel and relax. The breakfasts were fabulous (which were included in our booking) although the meals in the restaurant were really quite expensive.
Restaurant Tip : Walk 10 mins to riverside and eat at either Goodview, or The Gallery. Fabulous food and lovely setting.

nice personel!!! Tuk Tuk Service very dark rooms, old bathrooms The hotel is located outside the inner city. But still very good located and the night market, where the night life of Chiang Mai takes place (travel guide) is only about 10min walking distance. The personel of the hotel is awsomely friendly and helpful!! They try to meet all the needs and go the famous extra step for their guests. And they seem to do it because they wnat to!!!!!
the only downside of the hotel is found in the rooms: due to the dark wood and the relatively small windows the room we stayed in was very dark and due to that seemed to be small, and the bathroom must have very old pipes: the water temperature just does what it wants, not caring about what you want (no regulation of the water temperature possible!!!)
All in all, a great choice to stay at that hotel!!!!!!
Shopping Tip : Nightmarket: it is very close and also very nice to see: but expensive!!!! Go there to have a look, try to shop somewhere else....

The Purripunn is beautifully landscaped and well decorated. The staff was amazingly helpful and courteous. The free breakfast was great. They make great cappuccinos. Rooms include fresh exotic fruit, flowers, and incense is placed at your doorstep in the evening. For brief periods the shower would get cold. It's a little bit hidden, so you will want to make sure your tuk tuk driver knows exactly where it is before you get in the car. I was reluctant to stay here, thinking that such a small hotel might be too intimate. Never once did I feel imposed upon while staying here. The hotel was so comfortable, it was hard to conjure up the will to leave and see the city. It's the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at and the price is more than fair.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Night bazaar, Great Earth restaurant, and The River restaurant.
