Dusit Thani Pattaya Hotel, Pattaya

Overall this remains an Excellent Hotel however the level of attention has slipped since last visit in April. The Valet Parking was, for me, a farce! Called for luggage pick-up and went down to the front to have the car brought around while wife did checkout. I gave room and asked for MY CAR (the staff failed to give a valet check stub the day before) - the desk man seemed fixated that I wanted a LIMO!! I restated several times - to employees who claimed to understand english - I wanted my car, described my car and pointed out my car ... and still met with this total wall of obdurance. By walking over to my vehicle and and demanding the keys they belatedly got the point and pecariously backed the auto to the front. The staff at the Peaks did not ask immediately if wanted something from the grill and did not get the inital coffee/tea order as we requested. Better service here would have been appreciated. The pillows left on the bed were super-soft feather which gave no neck support. A selection or a pillow menu left on bed at check in would have been much better. There was no ice and the phone and service directory gave NO clue as to whom to contact - did the old stand-by and called housekeeping but this should be on a card or a on a phone call button. The hotel is beautifully located as to provide an amazing view over the bay of Pattaya. Very elegant, with pleasant nice rooms. The buffet served at the italian restaurant is one of the best i have ever experienced. The check in and check out service is quick and professional.The club located at the 8th floor serves foods and drinks with a variety of magazine and free internet connection

Great 'Dusit' kind of experience - Thai hospitality. Convinience of being on the main Beach road at the same time experiencing relaxed aloofness in a 5 star hotel. Definately would recommend.
