Fantastic!”

We stayed at 8Icon for 7 nights and were immediately struck by the staff's hospitality and friendliness. The room was clean and breakfast offered a good variety of yummy food. The hotel is close to both Nopparat Thara Beach and Ao Nang beach (where you can also book a return trip to Railay beach for 200 baht/person). Most boat trips start from Nopparat pier which is relatively close to the hotel, too. You generally don't need to walk to the pier as all travel agencies will arrange a transfer for you which is very convenient (included in the price). The hotel is right next to the Night Market which for us was a two-edged sword, unfortunately. On one hand, we loved the food there (though a bit pricier than the other market situated in the nearby area), on the other hand, our room was on the side of the Night Market which we found pretty noisy every single day until about a midnight which made falling asleep rather tough. But hey, you don't go on vacation to sleep all day, do you?

New hotel”

It's a new hotel located in Ao Nang and it's about 15-20 mins walking distance to Ao Nang town & beach. Renting a motorbike is convenient as there are shops just outside the hotel. The hotel is new and clean and very friendly staff. Surprisingly the manager still remembered my name as we checked out. Only set back is that the hotel doesn't have any movie channel. So when we decided to just chill in the room there's nothing on TV to watch. Other than that, we don't mind to go back there again for our next trip to Krabi.

Excellent ”

The hotel is away from the main strip of Ao Nang beach but it’s not too far of a walk. There are plenty of restaurants shops etc in the area. It’s also quiet for sleeping. So over all we were happy with the area. The hotel only opened in 2016 and it is still fresh and clean. The staff were incredible. Nothing was too much and any query was met with polite efficient and friendly service. They felt like friends. Our room was very spacious. Bright. Spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was great too with a good shower. The room also had a fridge, kettle, hairdryer, umbrellas, beach mat and bag, robes and slippers! Fantastic. The baby crib provided was super! The pool was lovely with a little kids pool too. Breakfast wasn’t included in our room, one morning we had breakfast at the hotel, it was very expensive for what you get. Far better available in the restaurants just outside. Would stay here again no problem if we returned to Ao Nang

Great hotel with clean room and friendly personal ”

Our stay was a pleasure, definitely worth it and will re book at our next ao nang visit if the rate still is attractive. Hotels surrounding area has some designing unique to 8icon. Breakfast selection is ok (but no pork/bacon) and has some variation day to day which we like. Beach towel exist at reception and the room is also equipped with beach mattresses. Pool is more small and place around are limited but good enough for a afterbeach cocktail!

Pros: Location 1. nearer Napphorod Beach than Ao Nang Beach...quieter and more up-market. 2. Still with plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, ATMs an money changers Pros: Hotel Facilities 1. Set back from the road, a self-contained hotel building. This makes it quiet 2. Large, easily-accessible car park, with security Pros -Hotel Room 1. Good size. modern room and bathroom, with balcony Pros: Hotel Staff 1. Very helpful, friendly and efficient. Cons: For some, the location may not be favourable, being 250 -300 metres from the beach, and a 100 baht tuk-tuk ride away from the main "drag" of night entertainment. To me, this just meant I got better value-for-money... Although I went in shoulder /low season, and prices could get steeper in high season

Nice hotel”

1. The staffs are kind and very friendly. I’m having several times with safety box inside the room and they responded to the issue very quickly 2. Even though there is no lift at this hotel, but the staffs will help to carry our bag to our room on 3rd floor 3. The hotel is beautiful and modern. I really like the room as they provide flip flop, picnic mat and picnic bag to go to the beach. There’s also a place to hang any wet clothes or wet towel at the balcony which is very convenient. Free drinking water inside the room. 4. I got a room with a view of ao nang night market. The music is a bit loud and not recommend to those who prefer a quiet stay 5. There’s no iron in the room or even to borrow from hotel. Thus quite difficult for me to iron my clothes and hijab 6. The parking area is very spacious as they have their own parking compound 7. Halal food can be found within walking distance from the hotel. There’s a lot of stall, massage shop n souvenir shop along the way from the hotel. Very convenient 8. I’m happy with my 2 nights of stay at this hotel and would definitely come again

Stylish, clean and good location between the two beaches just a short walk away”

Visited during COVID so was very quiet and most shops in the street closed, same for the town too. Lovely hotel, rooms nicely furnished and all with balconies. Nice pool too. The main beaches are a short walk away. For Ao Nang and Krabi you need a car to visit attractions except for the boast trips, they pick you up. Great day out. Nice hotel, nice place.

The Best Hotel Ever!”

8Icon Hotel has given me the best stay experience in Krabi. The room is spacious, great amenities, and everything looks totally new. Great location; next to the night market & walking distance to the beach (10 mins by foot). Breakfast was sensational! It is just that it will be quite a hassle if you are travelling with large and heavy luggages, cuz there is no elevator to get to the upper floor but fine by me. Overall i rate this hotel 4.8.

I like everything about the hotel: it has the most stunning look from the outside; on the inside, everything is new therefore in good working condition. The best part is what you don’t see: in almost every hotel with a balcony, sans the older ones with water-evaporators, there is a condenser which pumps out copious amounts of heat rendering the balcony not useable. 8icon is an exception; see the attached photo for the clever placement. I would have given this hotel a five star were it not for the robotic answer from the (supposedly) owner (or manager). Whenever someone is too lazy to write a personal note while hotel guest take the trouble in advertising or the hotel (or, if the English language is the barrier, prepare 17 different canned replies), the same lack shows up in the daily management of the house. Amazing hotel but needs more sun loungers by the pool!”

We stayed here for 3 nights in January. This was our second visit to Ao Nang and the location of the hotel was a little further from the beach and main strip than we were used to. Having said that it wasn’t an issue for us as it only took about 15 mins to walk and was a good excuse to get some exercise in. The hotel was very modern and clean. The staff are helpful and the communial areas are nicely decorated. We liked the extra touches in the room like beach bag equipped with roll mat etc. My only criticisms were the pool area. They are definitely in need of some extra sun loungers cause they were super busy (especially in the morning) people would leave their towels on them to reserve them but they were left empty half the day. I don’t think this should be allowed. Also the breakfast could have more variety of food (beans/bacon would have been nice) Over all we had a fab stay and I would recommend to anyone thinking of booking. Just a couple of pointers for the hotel!

Exceptional”

A good location for Ao Namg and Nopporat beach. Lots going on close to this hotel but too busy for my tastes. Personally I preferred the quiter laid back beaches of Klong Muang and Tubtaek but this location is perfect as a base to explore. Also I would never swim at Ao Nang or Nopporat as they are pumping raw sewage directly into the sea and in places the sea smells of shit. It's disgusting. Other beaches seemed OK though. The staff here are excellent. Very efficient, professional and friendly. Rooms and pool are good. Breakfast was really good with quality ingredients including decent tasting real coffee.

Great place to stay, no lift in block B”

This hotel is very new. We love to stay here due to friendly staff, cleanliness, bearby facilities and beside of this hotel is Ao nang night market..but even it beside night market its not noisy at all. The only throwback of this place is we were given block b to stay due to we book deluxe room. There is NO lift in this block, we were travelling with our parents and we need to climb 2 floor up to our room. It’s really tiring after long day tour Overall it’s good hotel to stay expect for the no lift part

Splendid 4 night stop”

Really pleased we stayed here. Super hotel in a great location. The rooms are bright, clean and modern. Pool area is very pleasant and the eatery for breakfast is lovely and open. The staff are all so friendly and provided us with everything we could need. A special thank you for finding me an ironing board! Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again in were ever in Ao Nang.

First time in Ao Nang”

I really liked the location of this hotel away from the main drag of Ao Nang. There is also a night market behind the hotel where you can get great food and experience some very friendly music bars. There is also a great massage shop close by the hotel on Soi8 along with a plentiful choice of places to eat. The hotel facilities are very good with a very good breakfast. The staff are exceptionally helpful also.

Really good option ”

Worth recommending for ppl staying few nights in Ao Nang. Pros : Clean, tidy rooms, not top big but decent pool, Great European breakfast (nice option with choosing any out of few types of eggs), good location if you don't neeed to be too close to beach Cons: can't find any. Night market is both pro and Cons cause it's Just nearby if you need Quick food, shop or drink but on the other hand if you want to take a nap between 5pm and 11pm you can harsly do it due to noise. After 11pm all is normal :)

We took 2 rooms here with 2 extra bed. Nice room and next to small nite market. Not too far from bigger nite market @ ao nang. It’s krabi guys! What should we say moree 😎

Good hotel!”

A bit away from the hotspots in Ao Nang, the 8 Icon hotel is pretty good! The only downsides are the windows with no black out curtains, which makes the rooms very bright as soon as the sun comes up, as well as the lack of a clothes iron. The hotel do not have a single piece, which leaves the guest with crumpled clothes.

Rooms are big. Beds are super comfy. Shower was great. Very nice staff. New hotel. Only con: Views from our balcony were quite bad but Ao Nang is not that nice anyway.

The hotel that worth your money for”

1. Location wise it is not the best, since they are not the closest to the beach and the shops, but still they are in a walking distance. 2. If you are looking for privacy, yes this will be the one. 3. The hotel is just beside Ao Nang night market, surrounded by massage parlour, family mart and 7e. Not a problem if you want to find some food and to buy some groceries.
