Millennium Hilton Bangkok (SHA Extra Plus)

"Excellent hotel and service but one of the worst Club Lounges I have seen in Bangkok. Not to say it wasn't good but in comparison to what other 5 star hotels in Bangkok have on offer this Club Lounge felt like it was lacking a lot. The service is excellent and food was a very high standard and the Sunday Brunch was the best I have seen in Bangkok. But everything else seemed very expensive, drinks, food, room service etc..... in comparison with other 5 star hotels in Bangkok it is not value for money. "

Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok (SHA Extra Plus)
Bangkok Riverside,Bangkok Riverside - View on map
"This hotel is located by the riverside, where the best hotels are. There is only positive things to say about it:  - Perfect location (in the Saphan Taksin Skytrain stop). The hotel runs a boat that goes every 15m/30m (depending on the hour of the day) to that Skytrain stop. The boat takes only 5m and it is a really nice ride. - Instead of taking the boat to the Skytrain you can walk to the back streets where you can easily get taxis, get food in local eateries, buy stuff in local shops (there is a 7Eleven 1m away with normal street prices), get cheap massages (the ones offered together with the hotel are very expensive - probably very good but haven't tried myself) - The rooms are very big, super clean, modern, etc... - Wifi is included with the room and works spotless everywhere, from the rooms to the pool (I had a room on the 21st floor) - The personnel very professional - The swimming pool is the best part of the hotel, it is a huge swimming pool located on the 6th floor from where you can see the whole Bangkok riverside. - If I had to think about negative points I can only think in the outreageous prices you have to pay for drinks or food in comparison with Bangkok prices (I only had a bottle of sparkling water during my stay - it costed like $8 if I recall correctly). But this shouldn't bother you at all as you can eat and drink in a million places outside the hotel."

Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel (SHA Plus+)

"Avani Riverside offers great value for your money. The hotel is very modern and elegant and it offers a breathtaking view over the Chao Phraya river, Asiatique Nightmarket and the skycrapers of Bangkok Riverside. The perfectly clean room was equipped with a super comfy 2,40m bed and an open bathroom. The rooftop area with an infinity pool and a fancy bar was another highlight. Breakfast also was delicious with a huge variety of dishes. The staff was extremely friendly and happy to help with anything. Since the hotel is somewhat away from the center, there is a free hotel shuttle boat to Sathorn Pier. From there you can go anywhere by BTS or by boat. Close to the pier there are also lots of food stalls and authentic restaurants. All in all it was a great experience and we can really recommend this hotel!"

Riva Arun Bangkok (SHA Plus+)
Bangkok Riverside,Bangkok Riverside - View on map
"I stayed here with my wife and 2 month old son and we had a wonderful time. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful right from the time we pulled up. They handled our baggage, gave us tea and cold towels, and had our room ready in minutes. They even parked my car for me! The best part about the hotel is its location. It's located in the historic part of Bangkok right across the street from Wat Pho and very close to the Grand Palace. The rooftop restaurant is a MUST as the view doesn't get any better in Bangkok. Most other rooftop hotel restaurants in Bangkok only give you city views but the fact that Riva Arun is right on the river and its proximity to so many iconic landmarks makes it unique. The food is also quite good. It's a Thai fusion of sorts, mixing with some western style dishes. Thankfully there was also enough space to accommodate my son's stroller as well. Overall fabulous stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a beautiful location with lots to see and do nearby."

Theatre Residence (SHA Plus+)

"This review is coming a year late but it's one that's really needed. I traveled here for my honeymoon last year in March. We went on a tuk tuk with all our luggage through narrow streets, dreading what must lie ahead, only to be greeted by one of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed on. Tucked away in a busy area is this hotel that's been transformed from a studio. You will find artifacts from its former glory beautifully displayed, along with short excerpts, throughout the hotel. The entrance was lovely, with the pool right in the front. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The rooms were super comfy and very minimalistically decorated. You can see the grand place from the first floor literally. We didn't opt for breakfast, but if you do I don't think you would be disappointed. We went to sit in the breakfast and it smelled lovely. Their breakfast is served in a seperate building right opposite the hotel, facing the famous Bangkok River, where you will see ferries crossing by every few minutes. It's a beautiful place to stay in, and what made it even better was that the ferry station is literally a 2 minute walk. The hotel also provides a shuttle to its entrance. We went all around Bangkok using the ferries which made it super convenient and it was also very light on the pocket. Perhaps the only complain I have is that they have no irons in the rooms, which can be a major inconvenience. Apart from this very very minor issue, we had a lovely time staying here. If we are even in Bangkok again, I'd definitely be staying here. Thank you for a lovely stay, it was the perfect way to end our honeymoon."

Ramada Plaza Bangkok Menam Riverside
Bangkok Riverside,Bangkok Riverside - View on map
"Most people think that they cannot affords a riverside hotel in Bangkok but it is not true. The Menam Riverside Remada has a fabulous riverside location and the price is amazing. The buffet breakfast is lovely, right out on the river. The restaurant in the evening is great and the views from the room are spectacular. Its location is perfect now, just minuts by the hotel shuttle boat from the skytrain station. The best of Bangkok is along the river and it is great to be there for a decent price."

Riva Surya Bangkok Hotel (SHA Plus+)

"I travelled with my fiancé to Thailand and we stayed in Bangkok for the night, and fell in love with this hotel. If ever we find ourselves in Bangkok again, we will absolutely stay here again. The staff is more than accommodating, we actually were upgraded to a River View Hotel. The pool is a little oasis away from the bustling river (in which there is a stop located RIGHT next to the hotel, talk about convenience). The complimentary breakfast is amazing, you get the buffet and then an order from anything on the menu, it's the best we had in Thailand. If you're looking for a hotel in Bangkok, look no further, absolutely stay here!"

Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers (SHA Extra Plus)
Bangkok Riverside,Bangkok Riverside - View on map
"I’ve been using this hotel for a number of years when I have a Bangkok stopover due to its great location. This is the only place I know of where you can actually sit out over the river when having a nice breakfast. You can easily walk to the sky train or take the complimentary Sheraton shuttle boat. You’re close to China town (walkable if you want to stretch your legs). The popular river ferry (including the tourist ferry) stops next door to the hotel. There are nice little cafes at Riverside next door or you can try the street stalls. Lastly, there are lots of little back streets and lanes in easy walking distance to wander which offer an insight into Bangkok life. The rooms in the hotel are comfortable and depending on the room offer a great view. Best views come from the Executive suites (my last stay). The Executive club is pleasant too. If you want to on the river and have easy access to everything else, this really is a great place to stay. This won’t be my last visit. "
