Best Place to stay in Bangkok!!!!”

I honestly had serious reservations about writing a review about Akyra Thonglor primarily because I didn't want the secret to get out! At the end of the day they're a business and I can't be selfish and so I've decided to write a review about my experience there. Just a heads up! When I mention the time it takes to walk, I'm talking, a leisurely stroll. Kind of like if you were on the beach, walking in the sand with your shoes off, enjoying the the moment. If you're considering staying in Bangkok and have extra money to spend, I highly recommend Akyra Thonglor. The location is PERFECT! If you're into the night life and enjoy having a couple of drinks, you can literally walk 5-10 minutes and find an establishment that has good music, a decent crowd, and good food/ drinks. The staff at the hotel was incredibly accommodating (Front Desk, Bellboy, Room service). Lots to eat in the immediate area, Din Tai Fung and Michelin Star Thai restaurant. I would highly recommend this place!

Outstanding service, facilities & convenience ”

In 2016 I stayed at Akyra and was so impressed I booked my parents and brother there several times in December 2017. My family stayed at Akyra off and on as we traveled throughout the region, staying on several different floors and different size rooms. Each and every room was pristine, exceptionally well-equipped (even including dish towels, a drying rack and laundry detergent provided in the suites), and comfortable. Staff were efficient, kind, and amazingly attentive. They found and returned lost and forgotten items, stored luggage safely, and even accepted deliveries for us both during and in-between stays. One local vendor delivered an order of chocolate for my parents to the Akyra while they were traveling elsewhere. Not only did the Akyra team keep the chocolate safe until my parents' return, they kept it all refrigerated! Facilities: The Akyra pool is beautiful, the gym features a wide array of equipment, the breakfast and restaurant offer a great variety of freshly and expertly prepared foods. Location: The convenience of the Eight Thonglor Building cannot be matched elsewhere in Bangkok. It features a 24-hr Foodland supermarket, several coffee shops and restaurants, nail salon, laundry service, etc. Bars and cafes of Thong Lor are steps away. Taxis are available 24/7 and the BTS is a short walk or hotel tuk tuk ride away. Highly, highly recommend!!

Repeat guest following property renovations”

Returned to Akyra Thonglor following 2017-2018 renovations. Definite positives of staying here include super-friendly and service-minded staff, hotel location (away from the touristy/seedy areas of Sukhumvit) and proximity of restaurants and a super market (same building), ease of access to/from Suvarnabhumi Airport, studio apartment layout, rooftop pool, large 24 hr gym. Only lacks a little on the breakfast front, i.e. better bread and lacking non-meat based choices. Will visit again!

The best! ”

We loved our 5 day stay at akyra thonglor! Couldn’t recommend it more, room was amazing. Big, fresh, clean and modern. The bed was probably the comfiest we’ve stayed in... ever. Location wise the hotel is an easy ride on the bts from the centre. The area is trendy, chilled and close to the BTS. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Swimming pool was cool and clean. The list goes on! Loved it. Thanks again akyra thonglor!

Amazing Hotel, Great Location”

akyra Thonglor is located in the japanese influenced streets of thonglor. Nearby 24 hour food places and sake bars including Iron Fairy, a famous fairy themed pub. It's nearby alot of good food and a great overall central location. The staff were very accommodating to our requests and the vibe of the hotel was great. We'll definitely be back

Comfortable and Convenient”

The akyra is a nice oasis to stay at in busy Bangkok. The staff, rooms, service, food and facilities are all excellent. It is a very convenient location - close to airport and many restaurants, etc in the Thonglor area.

Great location, super-friendly and helpful staff!”

My wife and I were very pleased with the cleanliness and order of the facility. But what really stood out was the staff. Every staff member had obviously been well trained to be warm and welcoming and to bend over backward to help guests. Highly recommend Akyra Thonglor!

One of the best hotels I've stayed in ”

We stumbled across Akyra at the very last minute due to a very very bad booking at this other hotel called The beat hotel (do not book that ever) and in hindsight, it was such a blessing in disguise. Akyra was everything we wanted in a hotel, it's not too corporate fancy with a tinge of character in their rooms and decor yet still living up to a very fancy status. The paint of dark purple in the room with gold lining gave the impression of it being a 5 stars hotel and indeed it should be. The bed was one of the softest I've ever slept in and I have zero qualms about this place. I hope this stays fairly hidden so people would not swarm to this hotel!

Best stay and service ever! ”

The room is luxurious, spacious, clean and fully equipped. It’s not the most affordable if you’re on a budget but given that we stayed in a 1-bedroom suite which had a kitchenette, a living and a dining area, this place is definitely value for money. The location is perfect. The Thonglor neighbourhood is filled with cafes, restaurants, bars, convenient stores, massage joints etc. and yet it’s super chill and not too chaotic which i love. In terms of distance, the hotel is a 30min-1hr ride away from the popular Bangkok attractions and shopping districts by GrabCar. Last but not least, the SERVICE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Mr Khun who served us drinks and insisted on carrying our bags. We were then served by Ms Fa, an absolute sweetheart. After check in, she ushered us to our room and to our surprise, they had prepared welcome dessert (the tiramisu cake was divine), a hot bath and even decorated our room with fresh flowers. Definitely coming back!

Akyra Thonglor does not disappoint!”

I would highly recommend this place. I cannot remember what I paid for it at the time but I do remember thinking that I had received a reasonable deal. When I arrived at the hotel, I realized that it was a great deal! Location is ideal if you want to be in the heart of Thonglor, close to restaurants and bars. The hotel rooms were extremely clean! Staff was very polite and helpful! They offered to call us a cab several times but we declined as we knew that it was going to be a difficult task and we wanted to walk around. I didn't utilize any of the facilities but I did see the swimming pool and it appeared to be very clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect”

akyra was my big surprise on my way in Asia. Bangkok is not my most favorite place, but stay in Akyra changed everything. Amazing rooms and service also TOP breakfast, rooftop, pool. Everything was for more then 5*hotel. I can highly recommended.

Excellent location and outstanding service!”

All pros no cons! If you want to stay somewhere cool yet elegant in a wonderful location you MUST stay here. Tonglor is a great area to be located - a little away from the hustle and bustle but with world class dining on your door stop. If you don’t want to eat out the room service at Akyra is top quality and the breakfast is one of the best....order of the inclusive a la carte menu options! Enjoy!

Simply Amazing! ”

Our room was fantastic with a huge balcony! The staff in general and especially Mr Ton was very helpful! I was there for a vacation with my friends and they loved the hospitality and care. I keep coming back to Akyra because of the great location, amazing hospitality and great value for money! I hope to come back again soon.

Outstanding hotel!”

I have to say, the only reason why I am hesitant about writing this review is so that not too many people know about it for my own selfish reasons. This hotel is OUTSTANDING! The locations is perfect. Centrally located, close to BTS, inside of a mall with a 24hr grocery store and diner. A Din Tai Fung is also in the mall! A massage place across the street, a yoga studio in the mall and many shops very close by. The area is clean and upscale and has many bars and clubs that are walking distance. The actual rooms look like they do in the pictures. Clean, spacious and comfortable. The only con I can think of is that the walls of the hotel are thin and you can hear your neighbors through the walls. Not a deal breaker for me but maybe for some. I would absolutely come back to this hotel without question.

Comfy stay”

LOVE THE BED really comfy. Location is near all eateries don't even have to travel to town much... travelling to thong lo bts is easy with hotel shuttle service. Recommend to travellers that don't do much shopping. Most taxi driver will miss the turn in to Akyra hotel so make sure u know e way as well...

Best value, good location and also free Tuk Tuk service from the hotel to BTS Thonglor. Delicious breakfast (Overnighting oats is my favorite highly recommended) Staffs are very very nice polite and helpful. New hotel nice and clean. Love it

Beautiful stay with amazing breakfast!”

The staff here were incredible. The best part of the stay was definitely the breakfast, so good! The location had very easy access to the BTS station, only a 10 minute walk. I do wish Agoda made it more obvious that airport transfer doesn't mean pickup and dropoff to the airport - in this case it just meant that they had a shuttle going back and forth from the hotel to the BTS station on Sukhumvit. I would totally stay here again - rooftop pool was very nice as well!

favorite hotel in thonglor”

awesome room, quiet yet convenient (a little far from BTS) but have a 24 hour supermarket next to it, lots of massage places and eateries around. Thonglor is a nice area!

Repeat stay - good to be back”

Have stayed many times and returned following hotel renovation. Facilities are great, studio apartments really nice and located in the non-touristy side of Sukhumvit. The gym is among the best of any hotels I have stayed at and the rooftop pool excellent. Service is impeccable. Looking forward to visit again.

very spacious, good for family”

we traveled with a 3 year old and our mom, very spacious so the kid could sleep well even when we watch TV or talk in the living room. kitchen is well equipped. Staffs are nice and helpful. loved the gym and pool area. locate in a nice area of the city however a bit far from BTS although hotel has shuttle. Breakfast is rather limited. Only complaint about the room is the pillows are so high and hard to sleep on. Overall it's a very nice hotel that exceeded my expectation, and very good for the price we paid. Will stay again when travel with family.
