Worth for money!”

My first experience in langkawi after 9yrs. Alia residence is worth for money..friendly staff..and I think my kids love their pool so much..our memorable memory when we spend our night together without phone and watching movie on huge screen next to the pool..would be nice if breakfast is available.. ❤️❤️❤️

Nice, but with room for improvements”

Alia Residence Business Resort is a nice hotel but with rooms for improvements. It was our second hotel after Chenang. Chose Alia due to its location nearer to the cable car (15-20mins leisure drive). Check in was smooth, staff were friendly/helpful. Breakfast was just okay. Booked 2 rooms next to each other (no connecting rooms) opposite the swimming pool. One of our rooms were missing the bathroom mats and when we requested for one, we were told the 'housekeeping people' had gone home for the day. Around 12-2am, the other guests staying in the hotel were making extremely loud noises (laughing/singing/chatting/yelling). I don't mind noises, but this was as if staying in a room next to a hotel bar, minus the loud music. As there were no phones in the room, I had to walk to the reception to complain. No one was around. I walked around the hotel compound in hoping to find a security guard.. none were available. Not even 1 hotel employee were around. Disappointed for that reason.

Perfect place to stay in Langkawi”

It's a nice two-star hotel. Location wise, its strategically located in middle of various attractions in Langkawi; just few kilometers from Chenang beach (south of Langkawi), Kuah town and Tanjung Rhu beach (north of Langkawi). The staff were very helpfull, nice and acomodative to guest request. The pool was clean and easily accessible for the hotel guests. I didn't try other additional services from the hotel, because the hotel is surrounded by various local (cheaper and good quality) services. There is a laundry open from 9 AM - 6 PM, so you can do all the laundry overthere for RM 5 - RM 10. There is also a small restaurant that opens from 7 PM - midnight, and it's delicious compared to bigger restaurant in Chenang area. Dinner for 2 persons, will cost you around RM 15 - RM 50. Both of them, located in front of hotel. It's very convenient for us. For breakfast, there are also few other food stalls/small local restaurants open nearby the hotel, it only takes 1 min walks, and it'

nice, clean, fast wifi in room”

It is very clean although the room is a bit small. We preferred twin beds, but got double bed. the bed is big, so it is acceptable for me and my friend. two wardrobes with two big mirrors. there is a mini fridge. shampoo and bath gel are provided, no toothbrush, hair dryer. The WIFI is very fast, we can watch online video smoothly. Other hotels' wifi were bad, especially the Resorts World Sentosa, where only lobby lounge provide free wifi, but their wifi is very slow, half an hour you cannot open one webpage. So at Alia hotel, we enjoyed the WIFI very much. we can see the swimming pool and sea from our balcony. although there is no beach, it has a field for beach volleyball. it is very near Airport, taxi costs only 16 RM. Hotel staff can help you to book everything. Hotel provide nice breakfast, but there is no restaurants near the hotel.

Clean and tidy but not the facilities”

Although the room is clean and tidy but the cleaner did not lock our doors for all the days after they cleaned up the room. I did mentioned to have our airport transfer from/to hotel but I need to call them again to ask them to pick up at the airport when arrival date and the van came to pick up no air-con and poor maintained. When departure date, we decided to take Grab since the hotel is quite near to airport. Other than that I believe the hotel should claim the credit for being very clean and tidy. Thanks Alia staff

Spent a night(stopover) in Alia Residence. Nothing too fancy but overall experience was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Affordable to our family”

thanks to Alia Residence to give us best experience here. the room are clean, the swimming pool clean. the location also easy to search. and not far from chenang. nearby, there are a a few local stall (local tau. if you wish to eat kampung2 style cook, there are a lot here)

A nice quiet place to stay in”

Very nice and quite place to stay besides the noice from kids playing at the pool..not a problem for me. Room is nice and cozy. In the middle of langkawi island. Near by airport. 15-20min of driving to Cable Car. Just to Chenang might take around 35min by car. Preferable to rent a car n drive around. Wifi is free😋 by hotel. So far i am satisfied with my stay and can recomend pple to stay here. Breakfast is best too.. try book few months ahead as the rooms are very affortable and hotel can assist in organizing car rental for us too.

New hotel and clean”

New hotel and the room is quite big. paid only RM89/night and got the deluxe room facing sea. The pool also clean. In front of the hotel has a Thai restaurant and very tasty. Thank you Alia Hotel!

Simple yet relaxing”

Chenang beach maybe crowded and happening, but Alia resort is just nice, have new and clean feeling. Its good to relax at the same time having personal space time here. Make sure you have a transport. For improvement, the wifi needs more stabile connection especially in rooms. Outside is ok. Next time, i'm looking forward on coming here again with my family members （≧∇≦）

Since i already 3 times chosing alia residence as my place to stay,first and second got verity of food but on my 3rd time the food just got main course,sausage and egg...this is so ridiculous and not worth it for me and my money...

Affordable and cute”

My stay was nice. The hotel has a free airport shuttle, otherwise the taxi is 16 MYR. Check in was fast, they did not take any money deposit, which was probably charged to my card without a prior notice. Room was small, but cosy and clean and facing the swimming pool. Note for the sensitive sleepers: you can hear pretty much everything, aircon is loud, and there a mosque nearby, so you will be waken up for the morning prayer. Not far away from hotel you can find carting & helicopter rides (subject to weather). Breakfast was fine, with fruits and some sweets. Toasts are available, can ask for eggs as well. Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and have some simple dishes. I've ordered fried rice with sambal for 14 MYR ~ food was ok, especially given that there is nothing much around the hotel, and crazy prices @Cenang beach area (e.g. Pizza starts from 30 MYR). Check out was fast as well, I've paid 20 MYR for 1 extra hour and got the print out. Overall, I'd say: if you are running low on the budget, this place is not a bad option. Staff is nice and friendly.

Excellent Location - Value for money ”

Compared to the amount I paid for this, its totally worth. This place is great for cover major attractions in Langkawi as its near to Airport, Chenang Beach and Sky Cab. Rooms are Ok with all the required facilities. Breakfast buffet didn't had much options but compared to the price its ok. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel for peace lover ”

Hotel is located in between the Pantai Cecang and Langkawi cable car. Some rooms have seaview but sea is not accessible. staff are nice to talk. Overall we have nice experience to stay here.--- Worth in the price.

Good”

A big space toilet and clear room, comfortable to rest. You can swimming in anytime on swimming pool which open 24 hours, but we can't walk to beach due to locked. Simple breakfast buffet was prepared. It is a bit far to go to Cenang Beach and Kuah Jetty by car, however you can drive to go panorama langkawi and airport around 10 to 20 minutes. Kind staffs, I think I will come again if got chance.

Nice Resort and ”

Is a good place to stay in Langkawi. Good price, 15 min drive away from airport. Just a little bit disaapointed if you are a beach lover coz they do not have beach access.

Alia Resort under new management”

I stayed at this resort with my 27 year old daughter. The hotel is under new management and is currently undergoing renovations and redeorating. The staff went out of their way to help these renovations not interfer with our holiday and gave us a free beer as compensation for the fact there were contractors painting outside in the corrider beside our room. The hotel is nice friendly but basic. The pool is open until 10pm everynight but they are not too particular about this. They have a bar but it has limited drinks and is outside under a cover. However the staff are very helpful and friendly and it has a great view of the ocean and sunset every night. The hotel offers free transfer to and from the airport which is about 5 to 10 mins drive from the hotel. The hotel is away from the main tourist area of Canag beach which is about 25 mins drive away. We used taxis which all have a fixed price o each destination on the Island.

Breakfast service is too bad”

Thanks to Alia Residence, for taking action on my requests and complaint during my stay. What so frustrating during my stay is breakfast time. I stayed for 5 days 4 night. Every morning I have to ask the staff are they going to refill their food. The 4th week is the peak one. I was totally frustrated waiting for food to be refilled. Wasting my time waiting and made me and my family had shorter time to discover the island. Have asked the staff, he can't even tell me for how long some more I have to wait. Went to the kitchen asked the CHEF, also useless. Very bad service. I totally disappointed. You can find cheaper hotel with better services. At last I went to the counter, complained there and they started to act fast. And ya, none of them apologize.

great time ”

really liked this place, went there for one night , stayed about 24 hours, the resort is new and it is perfect to try now :) , we didn`t have any local money so we charged everything on the room and paid when we left with our credit card , the view of the sea from the room was great, the pool very clean, the staff was excellent , the food is very cheap for what they offer including room service, they have free shuttle to the airport and also free shuttle once per day to cable car and underwater world. I really think that this place will be a very visited one once they finish all the amenities arround .
