        My Review”

A great hotel for Muslim travelers, rooms are clean and they even provide you a decent Breakfaat, Bread & Coffee & Tea. Another plus point is their communication. In Agoda, you can write to the hotels but normally, you will not get an answer. For the case of Amarin Inn, they promptly answer your request, they even assisted to get our Group a Van & Driver for a very fair price. They also have a very helpful and friendly front desk staff ( Fatimah ) who was so helpful. I recommend this hotel, you will not regret it.

        Simple but effective”

Good-sized room with double bed, air con & private bathroom. The staff I met were very friendly. A big downside is that the hotel isn't that easy to find (not helped by my tuk-tuk driver dropping me off on the wrong road, and pointing me down a random alley he said led to the hotel). If you're going to the Amarin Inn, Phra Sumen Road is very long, and you need to be almost at the river (near the fort, Pom Phra Sumen), and then look for the sign to the next-door hotel, Adamaz House - it is immediately next to Amarin Inn, and has a HUGE, brightly lit and colourful sign on it's roof (and another equally colourful sign on Phra Sumen Road which is also difficult to miss). If you look for this you will easily find Amarin... After two nights at the Amarin, I moved to another hotel in Bangkok, not because of its location, but because of a lack of sleep. The call to prayers at 5.30 isn't uncommom, nor are roosters & dogs, but the early morning building work was the last straw. Otherwise fine.

Good basic clean rooms for a cheap price and perfect location with great staff”

Really good value for money, cheap rooms with an excellent location just around the corner from khao San Road. The rooms are basic and clean (would recommend getting the larger room because the small is a bit snug, as is the bathroom). Toast and instant coffee available all morning as well. What really makes amarin so great is the staff, they go above and beyond to help with anything you ask about. Busses, repairs, printing, taxis, really well looked after laundry! You name it the lady on reception during the day will help with it, she is so friendly.

Small room but clean and good services.”

Although, it is not easy for Taxi drivers to find down, but the location is good about 3 minute walking to Khao San road, and bus stops. The staffs are quite friendly and can speak English.

We have a week for holiday this year in BKK and spent 2 nights at Amarin Inn Hotel in the Basic room. We regretted that we could not book for staying in this hotel for the whole week when we arrived; because no room available at that time. Air condition, hot water and TV work well. However, the wifi signal was not very good at the level 4th.

        Good, no-frills value”

Friendly staff and a quiet location (provided you don't count the mosque)

In the past I've stayed in some really basic, cell-like rooms in Bangkok's backpacker area.. Now that I'm a little older and pickier, I thought I'd shell out a few extra baht and choose somewhere slightly more upmarket. The Amarin Inn allowed me to crash in some comfort: the double bed was delightful, the aircon very welcome and the shower in the Thai-style bathroom was hot. The staff are very nice too. In my initially jetlagged state, I could have done without the call to prayer from the nearby mosque at dawn; though in time (I extended my stay from two nights to five), I managed to sleep through it.

        Wonderful location; lovely staff”

This place could have been tricky to find, but I read the other reviews on here that have very helpful directions, and had no problem. The location is just perfect! Close enough to walk to the khao San Rd area, and far enough away from the party. (It's also really close to the early morning and evening/night Street stalls on the way to khao San.) The staff were lovely, and you even get a free (basic!) breakfast! This is not a romantic, 'boutique' hotel, to say the least, and the main drawback for me was that the main bedroom window is onto the coridoor, and that neon striplights beams through the curtains, and also you can hear people going by. But bring earplugs and it will be fine. I paid I think an extra 50 baht for the room up from basic, and I was very pleased with the size of it, and everything about it. I had very low expectations and they were massively exceeded. For one or two nights in Bangkok, this place is perfect, and I will be staying here again towards the end of my trip. :)

        The best place in khaosan”

Very confortable and clean. Really good price 500bht for a little room, confortable bed, good bathroom, with ac and breakfast included. The women that work over there are such lovely and kind! Only 5 minutes walk from the khaosanroad caos. Near supermarket, bus stop, perfect location. I really recommend this place if you want to be near khaosan but at the same time be in a quiet place, fresh room and confortable.

Very close with chao praya river

This my second time to stay in Amarin inn and they never dissapoint me, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The disadvantage if you come for the first time it will be difficult to find it because its located inside the small and dark (in the night) alley but the alley is totally safe. The location is walking distance to the river and park, if you go there in the morning you will see thai people doing yoga or tai chi.

Ignore the rating. Not a review for Amarin Inn. ”

The owner. Can't say more as we were moved to Smile Buri Guesthouse.

We could not stay at Amarin Inn as it was full the evening we arrived (these things do unfortunately happen) but the owner was very kind about it and arranged for us to stay at his friend's hotel around the corner at no extra cost. This could be considered his obligatiob, but he was very helpful and walked us around to the hotel and made sure we were checked in ok, which is more than some would do in the same situation. If his hotel is anything like him I'm sure it is lovely, it's just a shame we weren't able to review it. In case of interest Smile Buri Guesthouse is great. The rates are higher than at Amarin Inn (around 900B a night) but if you can afford it the rooms are big, clean and the beds are top quality. The guy who runs that place is really friendly and helpful too.

Small clean rooms with friendly staff”

We arrived back in Khoasan Road at 05:30 from Koh Tao, made a booking for Amarin Inn and headed there after breakfast to be told that check-in is at 14:00, so we dropped off our bags and headed to the train station (4km away) to make our reservations to Loas. when we arrived back at 13:30 we checked in with a very friendly/helpful lady. The room was small as already stated under the room details (9sq/m) and without a view, but I'm 6'5", so as with a lot of places in Asia I do find comfort somewhat hard to find, however when you have a bathroom with a toilet facing the closest wall with about 1ft clearance I am not sure how anybody other than a small child can use them comfortably. The bathroom door would also not open fully as the sink obstructed it, and when the shower (had hot water) was in use the whole bathroom is covered in water. That being said, the room was clean albeit with blood stained sheets, toiletries were supplied, it had AC, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and the bed was pretty hard but comfortable enough. Rooms are non-smoking and the only place to smoke was outside of reception. A simple breakfast is included tea, coffee, juice, toast, jam, butter and cheese crackers. Our train was booked for 20:00 the following evening, and we easily arranged a late checkout for an additional 200 Baht. Overall, good location with helpful and friendly staff but if you are looking for somewhere comfortable to stay more than a night or two, you can definitely find better for the same money.

        My Review”

If you are looking for a clean and quiet place to sleep, this is the place. A Halal hotel and they also provide Breakfast FOC ( Bread, Coffee & tea ) Communication with this hotel is excellent, they respond to your emails and will assist you. For us, they found us a Driver and a Van for transportation at a very good price. At the front desk, the lady is very helpful, always helpful. Internet provided is good. The hotel is located a little off the road and not accessable to vans or taxis but it is a short walk in. probably 30M walk

After a maze of narrow streets behind Khaosan you find a really nice place with simple and clean amenities + free breakfast. The sweetest lady hostess works there, she is really kind sincerely caring)

        My Review”

A clean and quiet place to sleep. I would recommend it. The staff are very helpful and friendly. After booking the rooms on Agoda, the hotel assisted us to find a Van & Driver. They answer our emails promptly which normally, hotels do not answer at all. This is my first experience that the hotel answers to our emails. The Front Desk is so helpful. She will recommends places to visit. Location is OK too, a short walk and you are in a Night Market. Recommend this hotel.....

Good value room near Khao Sanh Rd”

Good value little room with a friendly owner, quick check in, good taxi organisation and near Mad Monkey hostel to walk over and join the socialising there (for much better price value!). Could have benefited from bedside table. Sadly, Khao Sanh Rd has become an unbearable nightmare in the last 3 years so I will be avoiding altogether in future.

Helpfull stuff, clean sheets, good wi-fi

We stayed for 4 nights. It was a very pleasant stay. Price/quality ratio is perfect. We were lucky to meet owners of the hotel. Very nice people. We hope to stay one day in their soon to come hotel in Malysia. The area is fun for backpackers and tourists.

        convenient”

        location, tidy, lockers

This is very budget / backpacker accom, my review is based on this. The room was tidy, well located near Khao San Road, but further enough away to not hear the music. There is noise in the morning, but I found it easy to get back to sleep. The man at the counter was lovely, though brusque to begin with. He provided a locker for our things, if you need this, remember a small padlock. I agree, the bed is very hard, but I don't mind this. The air conditioning worked well. The shower was alright, but warm at least. If you decide to stay here, do be considerate of other guests when arriving back late or leaving early.

Short stay but got to see quite a lot”

The hotel is affordable, the staff was very attentive, and the room was very clean

I was there just a a couple of days but I I liked the people who ran the the place. It was not easy to find, being down an alley, with only a small sign at the alley entrance to let you know where it is. But once you have found it is simple enough to find again afterward. Koahsan Road is not far away and of course everything around that. If you turn right from the alley and go just up the street to the bridge and cross the river there is a small R&B Bar on the left that has live music. Nice off-beat place to hang out in Bangkok.
