Kudos to the whole team at ANANTA Inle Lake!”

We had a great time at ANANTA Inle Lake. By far it was the best hotel we have stayed in so far. The hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning views over the lake, but what made it really special were the people that work there. The rooms and premises were kept sparkling clean; morning breakfast buffet spread had a lot of choice and was healthy and equally delicious; evening meals were well prepared with fresh ingredients and very tasty; and the service from all staff was at a very high standard: waiters were all friendly - special shout to Phyo- attentive and warm hearted. But the absolute shining star was the hotel manager, Hlaing, who went over and above his duties in helping us with travel arrangements and making our stay as pleasurable as possible. Kudos to the whole team at ANANTA Inle Lake for making this place very special!

Extraordinary 3 day experience at Inle Lake”

We spent a full, and yet also relaxing, long weekend at this hotel on Inle Lake coming from Yangon. The hotel is stunningly set on the Eastern side of the lake south of Nyaung Shwe. It is thus off the beaten track and requires a longer taxi ride from the airport. But, the beauty and peace of the place makes it a very special destination. The hotel can arrange a taxi from the airport for a fair price, so we would recommend this as there seemed to be no benefit to arranging one's own. The hotel also provides boat service from their private pier. We had an excellent guide and driver, who took us to the normal sights by boat. We highly recommend going on the longer boat ride that includes the stupas in Shwe Inn Thein. The ride on the canal there was spectacular! The hotel itself is beautifully kept and a wonderful retreat. The staff are very friendly and very attentive. The food in the restaurant was simple, but very well prepared. The breakfast was excellent. We would gladly go again.

Peaceful resort with beautiful view of lake and wonderful staff”

The room is very large and clean, and the staff here are some of the most helpful and attentive I've experienced - even serving us chilled watermelon juice every time we came back (from a rainy bike ride or from dinner). They provided us with new rain ponchos when we took the hotel bikes out for a jaunt. Prices for the boat ride were very reasonable and we were picked up right from the jetty. The in-room massage was excellent. It is a bit far from town, so if you prefer staying in the town and going to Inle Lake from there, this is not the place for you. However, if you are here to relax, enjoy nice views and quiet, and want a more luxurious experience at a good price, do consider Ananta.

Fantastic stay in a lakeside resort”

The basics: Room/bed was very comfortable, WiFi worked well in and outside of the room, the shower always had hot water, and the breakfast was fantastic. Day one was a buffet, day two was ready-to-order breakfast due to me being the only guest at the resort that morning. Both were excellent! The restaurant at dinnertime was also fantastic. There were other cheaper local restaurants within a long walking distance of the resort, but I did not feel the need to go to them because the restaurant at Ananta Inlay was so delicious with many choices, and prices were very reasonable. I did not take advantage of any tour packages offered by the resort, so I cannot comment on those. The sunsets were spectacular, and considering the more expensive resorts on either side of Ananta, this was a very great value. I would stay here again: 10/10.

Perfect place to relax!”

We stayed 2 nights in Ananta Inlay and everything was perfect! We could check in early and our room was ready (but we were lucky), rooms and hotel spotless, great breakfast, the pool with the lake view perfect to see the sunset and relax after a day tour, location is far away from restaurants and shops, but if you are looking for a place to enjoy the view and relax, this place is PERFECT! But the best thing ever, was the staff! Always asking how was everything; waiting for us every evening with a fresh juice after a day tour and buscuits for afternoon tea, specially to Phyo who was always there with a smile and very proactive. Thanks Ananta for giving us a perfect stay!

excellent hotel for Inle Lake tourists”

You don't really want to be "right on the water" once you get a closer look in that area. Yet, this hotel is waterfront property with beautiful design and quality rooms. Every room is large and has a good size balcony with nice view, a nice restaurant, a beautiful pool. The massage therapist is excellent. The boat tour is all you need to experience Inle Lake so having an English speaking one is important. The floating market takes place every five days and only in the morning. Plan your trip accordingly can get you all the uniqueness of Inle Lake. I highly recommend this inexpensive beautiful hotel to all travelers.

A beautiful stay just next to Inle Lake ”

We stayed a couple pf nights at Ananta Inlay. Had quite a few difficulties with the boat driver, who spent an extra hour tryong to find our hotel in the dark - so before leaving the town, make sure the driver knows where to go (as most probably you don’t have a common language). But once we got there - wow! Super beautiful and nice, very nice staff. Even it was close to Christmas, we were the only customers. They prepared breakfast table for us outside, next to pool and lake view - so nice! Everything went just perfect. Would definitely recommend staying next to lake and this place!

Beautiful, friendly, simplicity beside Inlay Lake”

Ananta Inlay is more of a boutique hotel than a resort. The design is light and open, laid out as a courtyard with a lovely swimming pool in the middle, and a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Tours of all kinds can be organized. The restaurant is great with reasonable prices. Complimentary mini-bar and fruit is a thoughtful extra. We look forward to coming back again!

AMAAAAAAZING!”

Seriously I really don't know where to start, but the experience with this hotel is unbelievable. It started when we arrived, we had the night bus from Hpa An to Inle Lake (13 hours ride) and arrived at the hotel at 8:00 in the morning super tired. The said we could sit at the breakfast buffet, it was in the house!! After that we enjoyed the amazing view and at 10:00 in the morning our room was already available!!! Because it's our anniversary they decorated our room and gave us flowers. That evening they also gave us an anniversary cake! The service is amazing, the people who are working there are so lovely and helpful, everything in the room was clean and nice, the swimming pool is awesome and the view and sunset are beyond!!! We also booked a Boottrip via the Hotel and that was awesome! I've been to so many hotels in different countries but this one is truly the best!!!!!! Thanks guys for a lovely stay and your amazing service! Keep up the good work

Excellent value. Quiet location. Only a few flaws”

You basically have 2 choices, stay in Nyaungshwe before the lake, or move on & stay on the lake to the E or S . We choose Ananta at the lake 20 min past the city. SO glad we did. We still took a taxi back into town, but it was so quiet at the lake we did the right thing. 2nd week in Jan, supposed to be tourist time, & felt like we had the place to ourselves. Staff was first class, always willing to help. Room was very nice. Spacious w/ beautiful teakwood floors. Rainfall shower and big soaking tub. Even a turn down service in the evening. They turned down the bed, did a quick mosquito spray, and left fresh cakes/cookies. ( 0 mosquitos in the room the entire trip) One fault though: From the bathroom to the room is an open window, with nothing but a wood shutter between. So when you are sitting on the toilet, you are about 3 ft from the bed, with only a louvered shutter in between. If you can deal with this, you will be happy you chose this hotel.

Lovely staff and great pool”

we spent 3 nights at Inle and we really enjoyed our stay at Ananta Inlay Resort. The staff was young, very professional and helpful. The sunsets at the pool are just amazing..

Lovely view on the lake ”

What stand out for me in Ananta hotel was the location close to the lake and with wonderful view on the lake and to the mountains and the friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but they have a good variety of everything. The pool in the courtyard is super lovely and super noisy at the same time. There were families with small children and friends and it gets really noisy in the pool and in the rooms as the walls echo back and also in the terraces, which are all overlooking to the pool. In these moment I “escaped” to the bridge, which takes you far away from the hotel and especially during the sunset is a lovely place to sit. All in all I would suggest Ananta hotel, but keep in mind that depending on the other guests it might get a bit noisy sometimes.

2 Ananta sisters ! ”

I have stayed at Ananta Inle and its sister hotel Ananta Bagan. This is a good hotel and ai would return. The location is superb, great comfort, great balcony to sit on. But I had one problem which was not really resolved. The bathroom had a very stale musty smell which effected the whole room. I mentioned this the next morning and the bathroom window was opened and some sort of anti smell agent was placed behind the toilet. This did not solve the problem completely. Clearly there is an issue with stagnant water laying somewhere in the bathroom, maybe under the bath ? Maybe the shower drain. This issue however did not spoil my stay and I would return and ask for a bathroom with no problems! The staff where great, obliging, friendly and always smiling. Breakfast was 10/10; however I did not eat in the restaurant in the evening. To be honest it is a glass block without atmosphere. I liked the little local restaurant immediately opposite the hotel which served great food.

Excellent place and very staff ”

This place is fantastic. The place is located at the shore of Inle Lake so you can see the beautiful sunset from there. The rooms are really big and clean and the staff are really nice and caring. Always taking care of making their customers happy. After staying there for 5 days I got treated with a free dinner on the 5th night. I will stay here again if I return to Inle lake.

Beautiful setting on the lake”

Well presented, spacious room, clean, attentive staff, prime position on Inle Lake. As it’s isolated you really only have limited options for eating, but we found the food in the restaurant good and a decent selection of food. Staff attentive, perhaps a little too much at times. Wi-Fi was terrible, especially in the room, but that is standard across Myanmar. Staff arranged boat trip for us, can leave directly from the hotel’s wharf. Perhaps a bit more expensive than if organised yourself, but you pay for the convenience of leaving di ectly from hotel. Staff were also very helpful in organising onwards transport to Kalaw. A very nice place to relax and chill out for a couple of days. Pool area is beautiful!

Good but many small irritating things”

First of all, the hotel location is fine but not on the lake, it's about 1/2 mile so there's no great sunset view. The tiles in the lobby and in many other places in the hotel are slippery as hell (lobby even when dry), and this hotel does obviously not have the same quality standard as e.g. the Ananta in Bagan. The breakfast/dinner area is an neon-lighted aquarium. When it's raining, take your umbrella because you can't walk dry from your room to the lobby. They are helpful and smiling, but what killed us is the paid tour on the lake (was not my first trip to Inle Lake) that is just taking you from one miserable shop to the next, and at noon you get to know one of the worst "restaurants" on the lake - a perfect tourist trap with no prices on the menu and cold food from yesterday. There are so many things to see on the lake it's a pity a hotel in this market segment supports such a tourist-milking business.

Another Great stay at an Ananta Hotel”

We spent 3 nights here and again a great hotel with excellent staff and great rooms! My wife left some expensive shoes at our previous hotel (Ananta Bagan Hotel) and the staff here called them and had them delivered to our room the next day at no charge - unbelievable! I can't say enough about this chain - the rooms are large and comfy with free mini-bar and unlimited water. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and make it a very friendly stay. This is close to the local market and easy access to the docks for boat tours of Inle. Overall a great stay and well worth it - again would definitely be back!

Stay at Anantha Inle Hotel”

I am so pleased with the service at Anantha Inle. Very clean and nice deluxe room facing the pool and overlooking the Inle lake. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel provided cycles to explore the surrounding areas. Tried the in-house Burmese massage which was also very good. Overall, I would love to return to this hotel again.

Incredible hotel”

The view from the hotel is exquisite. Location is fantastic. Rooms are gorgeous and very spacious. Great value for money too. Manager of Ananta Inlay provided exceptional service. I was very impressed. I had trouble exchanging money and the manager went out of his way to help me. He also helped book boat trips, which was very sweet. Would love to come back.
