Lovely spot, not perfect, but pretty nice - I would go back”
I was immediately taken by the beauty of the resort - pink & yellow bungalows in a wonderful shady grove of trees right on the beach. The sea-view from my bungalow was lovely, but cheaper bungalows farther back had no sea-view. My bungalow, A9, had no hot shower, but was same price as bungalow A7 with hot shower. A warning note about the menu - Fried chicken with sweet & sour sauce in English is written "Fried sweet & sour" in Thai (the Thai word for chicken was left out). When I ordered in Thai (reading from the menu), my meal came with no chicken. If you can't read Thai, don't worry - order in English and you'll be fine. They did re-cook the meal for me at no extra charge - it was delicious. Another time, I ordered "steamed fish with lemon" in English, and was delivered "steamed fish with plum sauce" instead. Delicious and same price, so I let it go. I asked the manager one evening to have the light fixed over my bed. He forgot. Next day, I reminded him and he sent a man right away. Location is nice, off the main cement road and easy access to the pier for boats from Laem Kruat. I looked at many other bungalow resorts on Ko Jum - many are on very difficult, rocky, dusty steep dirt roads (ie: the west road on the other side of the mountain from Ban Ting Rai and Ban Ko Pu), on very steep slopes. Great for adventurers but not for older folks. Andaman Beach Resort is more convenient, easier access and prettier than other resorts I saw.

They love their customers”
Resort is very well situated od longest beach of Koh Jum island. Personal is helping, well understanding your needs. There are bungalows of more types. I was living in bungalow with fan and it was enough, due to its position near beach, due to sea air flowing around. Whole resort does impression of modern and clean site. Bungalows are equipped so, it helps you for daily stay on the beach.I surely stay at this resort next time I visit Koh Jum island

Home away from home”
This was our second visit with our 5 year old. We have fallen in love with the island for its quite and stress free island life. We have since stayed in other resorts on Koh Jum but the Andaman hits the spot if you're looking for a child friendly environment. The beach in front of the resort is cleaned every day. The sea is great for little ones...no big waves, quite shallow for kids to play in. At low tide theres lots of rock pools to poke around in. The restaurant menu is very comprehensive and quality of food is very good in my opinion. The bar closes very early like 8pm...but you can stroll next door to Freedom or Koh Jum Villas for better night life. I was very disappointed by the amount of garbage on the beach further along from Andaman...so much plastic and glass bottles from the boats. We spent one morning cleaning up that beach ourselves. Koh Jum needs a big communal clean up!!!

Great place to stay on a fantastic island”
Ko Jum is exactly what you imagine an old style Thai beach holiday to be - sun, sand, sparkling waters and laid back nightlife. The Hotel was right on the beach, in flash-packer style with fantastic staff and good food. It was also very good value for money. If you prefer the darkside of some other Thai resorts or are looking for a 5*/ chain hotel, neither the hotel or Koh Jum are the right place for you but if its busy doing nothing in an amazing location, its just the place!

Romantic and relaxing”
My wife and I wanted to have some peace and quiet after visits to Krabi and Koh Phi Phi and Koh Jum was the perfect antidote. We walked the beach, ate, drank, slept, and relaxed - that is all there is to do here - and loved it. A long stay might get boring, but the brief stay was great. The best feature of the hotel is a great staff with excellent food.

lovey retreat in great setting”
Ko Jum always is something special. It starts with the journey to get here. But if you do, at Andaman Beach Resort you are awarded with a little gem tucked under the shady trees directly at the beachfront. It's peaceful, relaxing and romantic. Staff is super friendly and their own restaurant might not be cheap, but served tasty food for reasonable prices for a resort on a more or less remote island. I came back to Andaman Beach Resort after three years. It's still that relaxing, romantic and magical spot that I remembered. Even though they are doing some repair work, the fan bungalow I booked was well-worn. Such little things like no water-pressure, non-working socket-outlet or the broken moskito-net-door wouldn't bother me here: wouldn't it be for the price of more than 900 THB... however: I would still recommend staying here and I myselfe would love to come back again as well.

Room for 3”
koh Jum was what we had been looking for our entire trip to Thailand. It's secluded, not busy and a place where you can just chill. We had everything we needed. Property is modest, and there were probably 20 people at the entire resort. Food was ok, but again... You can walk down the beach and try other places to eat if you felt like it. Would definitely stay again.

Very good place to stay in Koh Jum”
This is a very comfortable place to stay in Koh Jum Island. The staff at reception and especially at restaurant is great and have good contact with the quests. Food is very good. They don't have huts, but simple bricked houses, so it might not look like a paradise but on the other hand conditions are better. The beach around is OK and has little rocks, so is good for swimming.

Beautiful island and a great place to stay”
We really enjoyed out stay. As with everywhere it can depend on the room you stay in. We had the more expensive room and whilst it was over our budget you certainly get a lot of space and a lovely terrace to relax. The sunsets were fantastic, as well as the staff and the food. Koh Jum is a lovely island which is still nice and quiet and not over developed. Would definitely recommend!

Well run, effective budget resort”
Owner gave us a great price and extended stay too. Staff very efficient and friendly. In-house restaurant good, though not much competition - Koh Jum is very quiet and underdeveloped (perfect if you like a quiet getaway). Our room was a little dilapidated (hence price reduction) but overall the resort is good quality and a well-maintained tightly run ship. Runs like a resort, rather than bungalows, with maids visiting daily. On-site massages fairly priced and very good. Lots of flies about so be prepared. Outdoor plaza/restaurant is great, faces out onto a narrow, yet pleasant beach.

For authentic hut experience seek elsewhere”
I would strongly suggest to anyone not to book an accommodation type "family fan room". Actually is is the same room as the "Family AC", there is even an AC, but you can not use it because it switched off (well you haven't paid for it, right?) Available to you, there is a fan mounted on a wall. But the rooms seems to be designed counting on use of AC. Fan is inefficient and does not give enough airflow near the beds. The rooms therefore are damp and never comfortable to sleep with fan (and we visited in January, not the hottest time!) The mattress are super-hard. Pillows not comfortable either. Having looked at other resorts I figured out that for a really authentic Koh Jum experience it's better to choose the "hut" type resorts, and most of them are not on "Andaman" beach (exceptions on Andaman beach are Ao See and Freedom bungalows). Most "Huts" also have much better view, from the rocks and also if you stay in a "hut" it has much better air circulation than concrete boxes like Andaman beach Resort. Resume: choose Andaman Beach only if you need aircon and ONLY choose with aircon. For authentic "hut experience" go elsewhere.

Fantastic place to relax”
We booked to stay for just 3 nights and ended up staying for over 2 weeks we liked it so much. We initially stayed in a family room then downgraded to a basic room with no hot water. Basic facilities but still clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves fantastic food and the staff work so hard and remain friendly and happy. The cleaners are a little hit and miss, they asked us daily if we wanted our rooms cleaning. We said yes every other day but they gave the impression they didn't want to do any cleaning but this was just a little annoyance more than anything. Great location on the beach where you can watch the beautiful sunset behind Koh Phi Phi. There is no snorkelling off this beach - visibility is poor, its a rocky beach and there aren't many fish or any coral but its a great place to come for relaxation and to recharge your batteries.

Fairly basic, but fine for a short stay ”
We stayed at the Andaman Beach Resort for one night, as a stop off between Koh Lanta and Krabi. Although the room was fairly basic, it was clean, and the sea view was nice. However, the bed wasn't the comfiest, but fine for one night, and the stones in the bottom of the shower were an odd addition! The restaurant did good food, and the staff were very attentive (for Thailand!).

Beach life”
The bungalows at Andaman Beach Resort are really nice, there is electricity all day. The Wi-Fi barely works and when it does, it is really slow. Some of the staff members are really nice, some of them do not seem to care very much. We saw other guests making friends with them, but they didn't really talk to us. There are bikes and motorbikes on offer, which is handy if you want to visit the nearby village. The beaches are really close, and you can even do some ince snorkelling really close to the resort.

My best stay in Thailand! The staff are amazing!”
Unforgettable. This resort is everything you could dream of and more. It is right on the beach. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The restaurant serves great authentic Thai food at reasonable prices. This was definitely one of the best resorts I've stayed at for this price.

Good place”
Good place to stay 3 to 7 nights out of the crowded spots near Krabi or Phuket. It's a good 2 stars with teasty and fresh restaurant. Good service with nice peoples. Rooms are simple and clean. Bed was hard as Thai beds are. Good news! you can fix your body with a hard Thai massage at the spa near the beach next day... Over all, transportation round trip from Krabiwe, room, food, 4 drinks per day, couple of wine bottles, 1 day motor bike rental, 3 or 4 massages, we (2) spent 12000 Bth. for 5 nights. Hope you'll have a good stay as we had.

Quiet and peaceful resort”
For those that cherish peacefulness and natural beauty this is the place that you should spend a few days. From the main land of Krabi you can take a long tailed boat (very safe) about 30 - 40 mins to this resort. The lodgings are individual bungalows with air-con/fan, hot water. There is no bar here so after dinner it is very quiet. Food is delicious and inexpensive. There is Thai massage on the premise. You can rent boat to explore islands around here or go snorkeling. Staff are very friendly and willing to help.

A little paradise”
We took the lanta ferry & were met halfway by our long tail boat. We were given a welcome drink on arrival & shown to our room which was a delightful little bungalow. We ate at the resort a few times & the majority of our meals were great - especially the mussaman which was very tasty. The staff at the resort were very helpful & friendly. The location was wonderful & even though some areas were rocky if you timed it right it was deep enough to swim over them. The island itself is great & can be covered easily on a motorbike or push bike. Everyone we met was very friendly. We will definately return
