Quiet setting, beautiful pool and view”

We stayed at Aonang Silver Orchid Resort for 2 nites, and had 2 of the best nights of sleep I've had in a 4 years of travel around Asia. The beds are amazingly comfortable!seems to be fairly new, so everything is in great condition. The hotel The view from our balcony overlooked the lovely pool and garden, with a backdrop of some pretty amazing cliffs. The pool attendant took food & beverage orders to the kitchen & brought them to us poolside. Very peaceful location-- if you are looking for peace and quiet away from the busy main drag of Aonang. However, the main street is just a short walk--about 500m-- down the road, and you are instantly in the middle of a huge selection of restaurants, shops, massage salons, coffee shops, etc. It's a good kilometer or two down the main street to the beach, but it's an enjoyable walk, or there is plenty of local transportation. The breakfast buffet is adequate with several selections and an omelet bar. Make sure the taxi driver doesn't drop you at the Orchid Resort on the main drag...it's a different hotel.

Location / Pool / Halal Food Breakfast ”

Location just quiet from main road with fantastic limestone hill. The pool just nice and good for kids and adult.... . The hotel not too big and they have free shuttle to Aonang and when you finished shopping you can call them for pick up (if you not rent motorbike). The Breakfast was normal and halal since this hotel plug the Thailand Halal Certificate at lobby. The bed was super soft and very comfort. The balcony facing pool and limestone hill was superb ever view!!!!!!!!.... If you take this hotel.... better you look into Silver Orchid Travel agent. they have a discount for Silver Orchid group. Will come again to Aonang Silver Orchid. Love this .... Aonang Silver Orchid Resort.

Very nice hotel”

We came back to Aonang Silver Orchid Resort for the second time in 2 months. This hotel is very nice and gives a very good Price/Quality ratio. The rooms are clean and nice with a very enjoyable terrace with stunning view on the montains. I would definately recommend this hotel for a stay in Ao nang.

Great stay and best value for money.”

Stayed here for 7 nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very nice. Location is 10 min. walk to the beach or the hotel provides also free shuttle every two hours. Our Room was very clean and comfortable. Nice and clean swimming pool with the view of the mountains. The buffet breakfast was reach enough and very tasty . We had also very good dinners here with the best portions in Krabi :). Hotel staffs are professional, extremly friendly and helpful. They make you feel very welcomed. We also booked a Phi Phi tour through hotel and we highly recommend them. (Ao nang orchid Speed boat) Everything in order. Nothing to complain! We would highly recommend booking this hotel!!!

It was great experience with AoNang Silver Orchid Resort. Especially the location of this resort is so beautiful....Mesmerizing...!!!! We really had a great fun staying AoNang resort. The staff are very attentive and always ready to serve you.

Perfect stay !”

We spend 6 nights there and everything was perfect ! Our room (419) was clean, spacious, calm and had an amazing view from the balcony ! The staff very friendly and always here to help. The breakfast was good too with a enough variety and really yummy omelette ! The hotel offer very good value for money excursions, we did one, swimming pool It's really well maintained aswell. It's at 3 min walking distance from the main street but away enough from the noise, it is very quiet. If we come back to Aonang we will come back to Silver Orchid for sure !

A hotel worth talking about”

Just perfect. Value for money is my most important concern and this hotel was very good value for money. Only very minor point is that it is a little far from the main beach but not an issue for me. It may be a concern to people who dont have much energy but a free shuttle bus is available if one cannot walk a little. Everything is so clean and quiet. The pool is beautiful, buffet breakfast is as good as one could want. Our room was very big with comfortable bed and quality linen. The little we needed from staff was no hassle for them to provide. I am not very critical as very minor "things" are not worth mentioning but value for money....its about what you get for your "buck" and this place beats any other. My 4th visit to Aonang and will probably visit again and will probably stay again at Silver Orchid

Spacious and Comfortable”

I had a minor boo-boo during the booking of the reservation as the website hang and I missed the chance to book the hotel for my entire stay. I contacted Agoda to address the issue and they were kind to accord the room from this hotel to me at a discounted rate as I have provided proof that the website died on me. Hotel initially wanted to charge me an exorbitant rate for my last night stay because of it's "unavailability". Apart from the overcharging, it was otherwise a almost perfect stay. I booked a Grand Deluxe Room and paid for an additional bed at 850 baht per night. Requested for extra mattress for the extra bed to ensure that the main bed and extra bed are of the same height, the front desk obliged without much hesitation. Booked Phi Phi Island trip with the front desk and was given a discount and pick up time was prompt. Paid 1,200 baht for 2 way airport transfer and drivers (different driver) was extremely friendly, courteous and on time. Hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk from Ao Nang Beach however there hotel shuttle available. Walk back to hotel at night is a little too dark though with my small children in tow. Only issue is with the safe deposit box in the room which keeps getting stuck and I had to trouble the front desk to keep opening up for me. Once, they send the housekeeping to open up the safe deposit box for me which I think it may be a little wrong as the master key is the key to all the rooms and all safe deposit boxes in the hotel hence only authorized personnel like the manager can hold on to the key.

We were meet with a smile and a with a refreshing drink after a long journey, excellent. Shown to room which hotel had kindly upgraded for us, again excellent, clean and over looking the pool. Free transfer down to the beach as hotel is just off main street. Ideal for us as it was quite. Hired a car for the day all sorted via front desk. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great hotel. Beautiful pool area. ”

The Resort was great overall. It was very clean and comfortable. The location is close enough to the beach to walk (but also has a free shuttle), the pool area and its view is excellent, the hotel is quiet yet not far from the main street, and the price was very reasonable for Ao Nang. Overall, we had a very good experience and were quite pleased.

Great Stay, somehow mislead by some of the picture for the facilities in different room categories”

Overall it's a valued for money hotel to stay. Clean, pool with amazing view! Friendly helpful staff, simple and nice breakfast. It's located at quite place, which you will definitely have a good sleep. You can rent a motorbike, hotel provides the motorbike rental service. And it will ease the travel from the hotel to other places like Ao Nang beach etc.... But... I was mislead by some of the pictures. By looking at Agoda.com, it seems like all room categories having a bathtub. We have decided to book a pool access room, and assuming that there's a buthtub inside. We only realised the bathtub only available in Grand Deluxe Room! I've made a complaint to the hotel that they shouldn't upload the bathtub picture in all room categories. It is somehow spoil our holiday mood. Well, hope the hotel or agoda can remove those bathtub pictures in other room categories except Grand Deluxe Room.

Super relaxing resort”

I had a nice break at the silver orchid, this is a great place to recharge and relax after or mid break when your traveling. I booked one night and stayed for three r. It was super to relax round the pool and sit at the pool bar, the batman was tremendous, great fun and very helpful. He keeps the area spotless and nothing is too much trouble. Great comfortable beds and very clean I only had the breakfast here which was always lovely and fresh. The pancakes are cooked freshly for you and the fruit delicious. You are a little bit set back from the main strip, but take a short cut through a little field and its only 3 minute walk. Do take a torch as it is dark this way. Great for families, solo and groups. Always someone to chat too but not busy so you can always get a lounger

Friendly, helpful, great trips and free bus”

The hotel is right in Ao Nang and just off the one of the main streets which means it is quiet but close enough to walk everywhere in town but the hotel has a shuttle bus down to the beach and back again and this takes less than 5 mins in the bus. The internet and TV channels are great if you have teens with you. It is a dry hotel so no drinking or bar but again this is a welcome relief if you have kids with you! Overall the best budget hotel we stayed over our travels around Thailand.

SUperb bers place to stay”

The staff very friendly and the foods are awesome. This is a very nice place to stay, very calm and quiet. Near to Ao Nang town and beach. Everyday we just took a walk to these places. Very Muslim friendly, and got so many Muslim food stalls nearby. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay. Gonna stay here again if I come back to Krabi next time.

Good Hotel..Ideal for first time comers...”

Stay at this hotel was pleasent...owing to its location we liked the place....the famous Ao Nang beach is a 10 minutes walk , from there u can access to all other beaches by the ferry service..plenty of restaurants and bars are also nearby... Overall its a complete value for money hotel..

clean new hotel”

From the reviews I found out that this hotel was pretty new and also that therefore it is clean. I heard many hotels in aonang was old and not so clean despite there stars, so I am pleased with how clean and quite this hotel was. wifi was fast although u need to put in ID and Password everytime. Breakfast didnt have many choices but it was delicious, especially the thai food. Pool is small yet the view was fantastic. Its pretty far (although walkable) from the beach and it made the hotel very quite. location wasnt much of a problem as I rented a bike, it was nice as there was an empty lot next to the hotel where I could practice riding bike.

Not-so-centrally located, good value for money”

The hotel is not exactly on the beach. It's next to a huge rock wall (nice scenes) about 300 meters away from the main road. Ao Nang beach is about 1,5-2 kilometers away. However, there is a shuttle transport going back and forth throughout the day about once every hour (might have been more often, too, not sure).

Really like the resort will come again next time and stay here..little bit far from the aonang beach..but the staff very good..this is 4.5 star hotel..nice view swimming pool..

Thumbs up for cleanliness and tranquility”

My 1st trip to Krabi. We stay here for 3 nights. 1st night we were awakened up by neighbour next door talking and laughing loudly at 3am. Called reception to help but it was answered by a man who cannot understanding English. The reception was helpful to change our room upon request the next day. The pool though small but nice and relaxing for a dip with view of lime cave/mountain. The breakfast spread was good and we love the food which is better cooked than those at the eateries and restaurant outside the hotel. To the beach it's a good 20 mins walking distance away passing by shops and eateries. Beach is overly crowded with tourist and not as clean. There are many massage parlours by the beach with very competitive prices. Overall good enjoyment of the sun sand and sea with massage in Krabi.
