The rooms are small but as expected in Japan but the location was unbeatable. Also, very clean and they provide all amenities. Just wonderful!

More than I expected ”
This was a good hotel. Location was near sightseeing spot. Room was bigger than what I’m used to Japan standards. Bath tub was also bigger compared to normal ones. And complete amenities were provided. Will definitely recommend this.

Excellent location with a parking lot nearby. The room was clean and suitable for the price. The breakfast area is a bit small, but I appreciated that they had Western-style food.

Good Location with Small Room”
Took a double room, this hotel is not suitable if you have large luggages. We were travelling light because we only stayed here for 2 days and the room is comfortable and clean. But it would be impossible to fit even one large luggage in the room. Hand Carry is fine.

Comfort and security”
We (my friends and I) chose this hotel because it is close to Maruyama Park (which is one of the go-to's during Sakura season) and is not far from a station. The street is heavy with people during this season though so the walk from the station to the hotel may take a while, especially if you're carrying your own luggage. The staff speak fair amount of English (which is a relief for us), rooms are a little old-fashioned but kept neat and clean (more important). I actually want to praise this hotel for helping me with a little incident I had where I accidentally left my phone at the hotel and only realized it on my way to Tokyo. I contacted the hotel via email immediately and they were quick to respond. They sent my phone back to me via package mail (which I didn't mind paying an extra fee for) and it arrived at my hotel in Tokyo (also an APA hotel) within 2 days. I am so grateful to them, even though I know it's hard for them to communicate in English so a huge "thank you" to them. So far, I have preferred staying at APA hotels and this proves it because of the sense of security and comfort I get every time.

Great location in the heart of Gion”
This hotel could not get anymore central to all that is happening in Gion. Overlooking the entertainment district, close to the main temples and a very short walk from shops and restaurants. The only downside to my stay was the lack of coffee bags within the room (they no longer provide) and the breakfast which given the current COVID climate is not worth the risk. Apart from this, the APA hotels are always in very good locations and are spotlessly clean.

Very convenient location”
This hotel is right at the heart of Kyoto. 2 minutes walk to famous Hanamikoji Dori, 1 minute walk to Yanaka Shrine and bus to lots of sightseeing spot including Golden Temple are just at the hotel door. 20 minutes walk to famous Kiyonisudera Temple. Lots of restaurants and stores just out side hotel. The only thing which prevents me from booking same hotel next time is the cleanness. The building is obviously has some age and lots of stain on the carpet.
