A hotel close to Osaka Station”
I stayed in the APA Hotel Osaka-Higobashi-Ekimae for 8 days, and generally everything about it was fine. It's very easy to find the hotel when coming by Yodobashi subway line, and it's also close to the Osaka station and few others. There is also a post office nearby which works on the weekends, and it was very convenient for me. Near the Osaka station you can also find big shopping molls like Grand Front Osaka, besides shopping I visited the Osaka Theatre Drama City nearby. From Osaka/Umeda station you can also come to Shin-Osaka, where the famous shinkansen trains start from. So the location is really great. The food in the restaurant is quite good, there are Japanese and European dishes course to choose from. I'm vegan, so it was nice for me to have there potatoes, salads, fruits and miso soup and rice for my breakfast. The room is really small and it gets very hot before you come back and turn on the cooling system. There is also a large onsen bath on the 2nd floor and a laundry machine which you can use by coins (you don't have to buy a detergent for it), so it's a very nice option for a long stay.

Value for money”
I think in the Umeda area of Osaka, it is APA Hotel Higobashi Ekimae that wins overall. From Herbis Osaka you can actually have pleasant walk (if you don't have any luggage). For a party of 3, best to take a cab since it will cost you the same if you total train expenses for 3 persons. To the right of the building are a vendo fast food place, a Tsutaya cd/DVD etc shop and ( a further right at the bridge) Life Supermarket with a small department store where you can find good buys and it's open till 2am. You can cap that day with a hot bath in their onsen. APA HOTEL is truly great

Perfect location, Twin room was better, Helpful staff”
Firstly we were using train from airport to hotel and the hotel entrance is in the front of Exit 3 Higobashi station (after carrying heavy luggages for 6 days, through hundreds of staircase it was such a relief to see hotel entrance right next after those stairs) We can buy food near hotel. One coffee shop is perfect for breakfast next to the hotel entrance and convenient store is simply just across the road. We also got help for few things we left because of moving to twin bedroom from the staff and keep our belonging safe. Bathroom amenities are excellent, also housekeeping very friendly when we need more times to leave before they start doing their job. Last but not least, they give us a lot of information regarding transportations whether its train to other town and also taxi (with approximately taxi rate from hotel to airport). I hope to stay in APA Hotel Osaka-Higobashi in the future. ありがとうございました

Exceptional”
APA Hotel Osaka Higobashi-Ekimae was a great choice of hotel for my stay in Osaka. The room was clean and while small by US standards, it was just big enough for one person. The staff were kind and very helpful whenever I had questions or needed help.

Value for money and good location”
Apa Hotel was such a blessing because it turned out to be 5 minutes away from the venue of my meeting. From the airport bus drop off, you can walk to the hotel which is around 15 mins. It's great to walk unless it's summer. Otherwise, it's a 5 minute train ride. Just take the street elevator on the Northeast side with the sign NISHI UMEDA. Higobashi station is just the next station. When you arrive at the Higobashi station, look for the exit that takes you to Apa Hotel. CAUTION: in this exit, there are no elevators and no escalators. So, luggage can be a bit of a challenge. Still, when you get out of the exit, the hotel is right in front of you. TIP: there's a LIFE Supermarket nearby southward at the corner of the bridge road. Onsen is relaxing

Good japanese business hotel”
APA Hotel Osaka is the typical japanese business hotel, with small but clean and fully equipped rooms. A spa for the guests is available on the 2n floor. It is located next to Higobashi M station, exit 3. Hotel does not provide wireless connections in the room. But a (weak) wifi spot is available in the lobby. Personell speak little English, but is very friendly and willing to help.

Location, location, location”
I specifically chose this hotel because of its proximity to the subway line. The price was also very reasonable for a hotel which was so centrally-located. It's just a 10 minute walk to JR Osaka and Herbis, which is where the airport bus terminal is. The exit of Higobashi subway station is just outside the entrance of the hotel, and makes it very easy to travel to anywhere in Osaka. There is also a 7 Eleven directly opposite if you need to get anything urgently. I did not spend much time in the hotel as I was always out and about, but it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Also it was a very clean room and it was a pleasure to stay at this hotel.

Convenient location”
I booked this hotel just 1 week before my trip to Osaka and Kyoto in mid November, almost all other hotels in tourist spots were fully booked...Luckily APA Hotel Higobashi was still available and the location was quite near to Umeda (just 1 station from West Umeda Station) where you can go shopping, have food and interchange for JR or Subway. Personally, I more prefer to live in Shinsaibashi or Namba because of convenience, but Higobashi is still a good choice for you.

APA Osaka Higobashi Ekimae”
Good value for the money. Centrally located near city hall in Osaka. Subway entrance right by the hotel (Yotsobushi line, Higobashi station exit 3). Be aware that rooms are minuscule compared to western hotels. Additionally, the beds are very stiff and the pillows are substandard in my personal opinion. I'd recommend bringing your own pillow or purchasing a cheap pillow in Osaka if you are staying more than 2-3 nights. Overall a very clean and conveniently located hotel.

No fuss business hotel ”
Located across the river on the side of Osaka/Umeda. Easily reached by the subway Yosubatshi line via Higobashi station exit 3. But at exit 3, only stairs. So if you have big luggage, better go to exit 4, take a lift and walk across the road. Hotel is relatively new, with several eateries around.. You can read the controversial book "The Theoretical Modern History II - the real history of Japan" regarding WWII in your room, written by APA chain boss Ms Fuji. The book cause protest by China, Korea ....

perfect location for leisure travel ”
The hotel is located in front of the exit3 of Higobashi. I stayed at the hotel for four nights as most of hotels in Kyoto are fully booked due to sakura season. It is esay to go to anywhere in Osaka by metro, and if you would like to go to Kyoto just take metro for one stop to Nishiumeda and walk 5 minutes to Umeda, where can access to Kyoto by JR(540 Yen) or Hanku(390 Yen) within 35 minutes. Lots of shops and restaurants are there around Umeda. It is also highly recommended to use the public bath in the hotel, which is clean and comfortable.

Great hotel.”
This hotel is located near the metro station. Good location and to reach the Osaka Castle, you would only need to take the metro train and alight two stops later. The room is rather clean, great cleanness. The housekeeping staff will knock on your door every morning from 1030 onwards and they will check with you if you would like to have them clean up your room. The cleaners do have an english translation card with them so it is not a problem even if you are not japanese literate. Staffs are very polite. There are some convenience stalls nearby the hotel too. If you don't really mind walking a little bit, you can walk to the Shin-Osaka station. It was a 10-15 mins walk and meanwhile you would be able to do some shopping as well. You can enjoy their Onsen too. It is free to all people who check into their hotel. Great hotel!

Go solo”
The subway station HIDOBASHI is literally located right outside the hotel, and the subway has directions in English for you to find your way out the correct exit. HIDOBASHI is one stop away from a train interchange so you're super connected to the city. The hotel is a business hotel, and is near many cafes and restaurants and bars and convenience stores. As a first time traveler to Osaka, the hotel maps really worked in my favour because it's very detailed and helped me find my way around with ease. There are wonderful places that are within walking distance worth visiting, like the food market and some museums & historical sites. The room itself is very small. I'm 160cm, and I still bumped into things because walking space is minimal. The twin bed could fit two of me at most, so I doubt it would be very comfortable for two persons larger than myself. The bed is super soft and good for my back after a whole day of walking around the city. I ordered two extra pillows because the pillows are pretty flat. But for people who like a cosy room and doesn't shop much, this room space is ideal. The bathroom is intimate but perfectly functional. The bidet is easy to use. The water pressure in the shower is excellent. The body soap, shampoo and hair conditioner is gentle and fragrant. The TV has two English channels - BBC and HBO. This hotel is perfect for solo travelers!

The kind of room you should expect in Japan”
For a solo traveler with limited budget, this hotel is a nice stay. The room is small, which is quite common for hotels in Japan but the best thing is this hotel's strategic venue. It is just minutes away from the Osaka Station, the Dotonbori market and few subway stops from all other interesting places in Osaka. Another best thing is the hotel's Vietnamese restaurant on the 30th floor. It will give you the opportunity to dine up in the sky and you can observe the city's skyline. The only bad thing is that being Japanese they are really strict with time. There is no way you can do an early check in. But at least they will allow you to place your luggage at the lobby. Overall, nice affordable place to stay in Osaka.

Thank you very much for staying with us here APA HOTEL〈OSAKAHIGOBASHI-EKIMAE〉and your kind review about our hotel’s location. We hope that your review will be useful for future guests. The hotel is directly connected from Higobashi Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line, so convenience is good as there are convenience stores and restaurants in the surrounding area. For that reason many people are popular. APA has three major concepts which are high quality' 'high function' 'eco-friendly', what we call ' New Urban Style Hotel. Although rooms are compact, there are high-quality equipments in each room such as big screen LCD TV, original wide bed 'Cloud fit' and high grade amenities: toothbrush and razor. They make guest’s stay comfortable. Thank you for praising the room. I am looking forward to seeing you again. Warm Regards, Clerk TAKEDA

Nice and clean hotel”
The hotel is not within walking distance to Namba, but close enough via subway. Its located in between Umeda area and Namba area, making it easy to travel to both places without having to take long trips on the train. Rooms is really small, but fully equip with all essentials. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. They even have public bath free of charge for room guest, so a soak on the hot spa is great after a long day walking around town. We didnt try their breakfast so we cant comment. Higobashi station exit 3 comes straight to the hotel but its all stairs so if you have large and heavy luggage, try checking other exits with escalator or lifts. Its a decent hotel and I would come back again for a stay next time.
