APA-sakai was an excellent hotel for us. ”
Though there are some "flaws" in the way things are at APA hotel Sakai like: no free bottled water everyday, the room is small as compared to other rooms in hotels we booked in the past, and the sounds from nearby train station (even our adjacent rooms) are somewhat distracting, these were easily over-shadowed by the many plus factors that made APA hotel Sakai an excellent choice of hotel for us. Notwithstanding all the above-mentioned "issues," our stay at APA hotel Sakai was a very pleasant and enjoyable one. We love the friendly attitude of the staff, as well as the friendly and safe atmosphere of the place. We love it that we were able to easily adapt to our new environment and were able to find our ways around, even without tour guide. We will surely choose to stay at APA hotel Sakai in our next trip to Osaka. Will even tecommend the hotel to friends and relatives.

Pleasant experience as the hotel was easily accessible as it is located just beside the sakai train station... there are some shops located around the train station too so last minute shopping for cosmetics/skincare was super easy! :) convenient store is located just outside the train station for travellers who would want to get some snacks and drinks on the way out or back to the hotel as well as macdonalds n kfc outlet there for those who are more used to having western food. pet lovers would love to know that the mall beside the train station has got a big pet store on L4! :)

First Visit to Osaka”
We stayed more than 7 nights. We asked for non-smoking room in agoda booking but did not receive one. We were assigned smoking floor on the 1st night. We requested to switch room when available and were transferred to a non-smoking room from the 2nd night onwards. Value: At this price, expect hotel room to be small. Location: Short walking distance to Sakai station and a small shopping center, named Plat Plat, with fast food restaurants and supermarket. Nearby hotel serve good breakfast pastries too. This hotel is an ideal location if you want to stay away from the business and commercial district of Osaka. Cleanliness: Yes. No issue. Smoking room on smoking floor smells like smoke (of course). Non-smoking room: wife started getting bite marks on the 3rd night. We were unable to confirm what kind of bug caused the bite marks. She was sure there were bugs on her side of the bed. Staff: Friendly. Facilities: 1 restaurant, 1 laundry room (3kg limit - 500yen), all toiletries provided.

Comfortable and Dependable”
The room is very small for 2 people but I think it was normal for japanese standards. Rooms are very clean and the bath has very sensitive temperature control, I appreciate how easy it was to adjust water temperature. The hotel was very near the station about 300m, it saves a lot of time and effort especially when you're almost dead tired from a long day of city tour. Overall stay was good, the hotel was dependable having fast internet, very satisfactory bath to refresh you after a long day, and very comfortable bed.

Ok for budget traveller”
Pros: - very near to sakai station, waking distance for about 5 mnts. If you take express train to namba is about less than 10 mnts - affordable price - the soundproof is not very good but still acceptable considering i'm a light sleeper Cons: - stayed at the room 418 and very dusty - the bed and pillow need to be replaced. If you have back problem, the bed will make your back become worse and will give you a neck problem too - the room is very small, once i opened my luggage nobody can pass by - the receptionist staff can't speak english just able to say yes, no, money, and showing blur face - no onsen available in this property as advertised - the laundry cost 500 yen for 3kg of clothes and there are only 2 washing machines are available, which means you have to wait for unsure period of time when it was used and when the owner of the clothes are going to collect it.

The room is too narrow and too small. It was hard to move because the distance of the bed to the table where the TV is standing is just few meter away. My issue with this hotel is the bed. It was very hard and not comfortable to sleep. I love the location because it is 2 to 3 mins walk to the subway train stations.
