My girlfriend and I enjoyed one wonderful stay at Chiang Rai Lake Hill Resort. The hotel is located some 20km from the city, so one can enjoy a truly authentic and relaxing experience without having to go too far away from the main attractions. Being given the location, a personal vehicle is a must. The in-home restaurant cooks truly delicious meals and offers some heavenly views, no matter the time of day

Pretty nice to stay. Quiet and fresh air. With nice swimming pool and spectacular view. Convenient to rent a motorcycle and ride to down.

Cleaned in room is not good， pillow smelled very bad and room had moldy smell. But the view from swimming pool is very good

The pictures they posted online are not at all what you see! Yeah, the surrounding trees and hilltops are great. The location is so far from any restaurant, shopping and town. We were joking around if the owner of this place is using to launder money! If you need a quiet place to just sleep and don't want to shopping, eat or walk around, it's perfect for you. Not great value for money”
The hotel room was not as described. It was lacking balcony chairs and table. AThe balcony was dirty and muddy. The garden area in front is the hotel room and balcony was full of plastic waste. Inside the room the pillows and pillow cases were yellow and stained, dirty and smelly. Door and windows did not close properly. The pool area chairs were in bad shape, repainted but the paint was coming out of them and Tiny pieces of paint came out and stick to your skin. Great view from the pool, really enjoyed it. But it’s open to the public for a small fee (not only resort guests) so it gets crowded. Avoid restaurant food, Bad service altogether. Poor breakfast. Just water and bread and butter. Some salad an sausage. Instant coffee and dehydrated milk. Very poor. Inside the night tables there was rubbish and dust and pieces of paint. We did not have hot water during 2 days, it still was 20 Degrees outside so it was but… cmon. And the electricity went out for 24hs. I guess this hotel sow better times before covid. The garden around the houses are very good, Still, they need to clean them better

Not great value for money ”
Expensive considering the facilities. Old rooms, trash on the garden area close to the rooms. Bad food at the restaurant, avoid. Staff is helpful but not good at English at all. Poor breakfast. The pools area has a nice view, clan. But anyone is allowed in for a 100baht fee, so it gets very busy with people not staying at the hotel

What a disappointment. ”
When we arrived the plastic, rubbish and bottles out front of the rusty railings should have been enough to know it was neglected, however, when we got to the office, the lady sitting on the ground sewing attended us, showed us to our room which was overcrowded with furnishings, a toilet that leaked over the floor and very aged. We never saw staff for restocking toilet paper, water and soap until the third day when we left. The breakfast was cold fried eggs and cold sausages. The tables had no table cloths and were dirty. The dogs sat near to the tables and the staff were very uninterested in giving service and couldn’t seem to serve anything without putting their thumbs in it. We would have gone to another hotel but they were all booked out for New Year so we had to stay. My advice, sell the resort to someone who understands how to run one.

If you have ANY Mobility issues---DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL ! 1-its Very far from the city 2- nothing but stairs, leading to stairs, so you can get to More Stairs and NO LIFT 3-Room was crawling with Ants 4-they didnt clean the room the next day 5-NO HOT WATER

Location was superb, away from the city with trees surrounding you. Swimming pool was great. Restaurant on premises served really good food at the right prices.

Very rarely do I find the need to advise other travellers. This hotel has been totaly neglected and is run down, to be avoided by European or expat travellers. The only feature left is a nice pool with a look on a lake. Do not waste your time or money.

Did not check in! AGODA should BLACKLIST the Place!”
Beautiful Area&nice property. BUT(!) we did not check-in on the end! We been early and been asked to wait as they been fully booked and had late check outs. But no people,no cars,..? They recommended to wait at the beautiful Pool and having a coffee. Pool TOP & view. Coffee shop,.. Boah,.no words to explain!! They wanted to give us a different room with top view, the Maid used a BLACK mop & BLACK water to clean! Fungus,smell,... Like a worker room said my 13 y. old son.They checked our booking again and we got the room in a nice 3 story building, Ground floor... BUT beside our room all Garbage bags, poo from Geckos on sofa. Bed rock hard, Fungus on the main door, Fungus in Bathroom, curtain half down,..We just said thanks and left!! The Manager called us,apologized, said we can cancel without charging. Just tell AGODA a story. We did not! Prefer to tell the story to others looking on the nice advertisement here. Be aware! We changed to The Imperial River House Resort. TOP!

It's in a lovely location with a nice, small pool, but the rooms were pretty awful. All kinds of creepy-crawlies in them, and my friend's room had an obviously dirty bathroom. Since I was alone this time I also was extra uncomfortable with the tiny slide-lock on the door. Not a place I'd ever stay again, even though it was really inexpensive.

Disgusting room on arrival”
Arrived at the resort. Very remote location you need transport to anywhere. Room was disgusting, dead bugs everywhere, roach/bug poop droppings on the bed sheets and women,s hair. I booked 3 days but checked out within a few hrs. AVOID THIS PROPERTY.
