We had an excellent stay at Huan Kawin!”
The location is perfect, we were able to walk there from the bus station in about 15 minutes which means it’s also walking distance from the Night Bazaar and many excellent cafes and restaurants. It’s also off the main road so it gets nice and quiet at night. The internet was great and the TV with YouTube and Netflix (need to use your own account) was a nice treat. TV language is set to Thai but it was easy enough to figure out. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, AC worked well and the bathroom down the hall was clean and shower gets as hot as you want. Also they offer free use of their washing machine which was amazing as we were able to wash all of our dirty clothes. Our room came with free breakfast that was cooked fresh in the morning. I particularly enjoyed the omelette but there are a few other options. Finally the staff, a family, were so nice and even let us stay in the room past check out time while we waited for our bus!

Showed up a little late from Chiang Mai on a scooter and they welcomed us quickly. Beautiful home and delicious breakfast we were very happy with our stay there. 15 min walk to night bazaar!!

Convenient quiet homestay ”
Nice little homestay in a traditional house. The lady was very kind and helpful. Our room was small but the bed was comfy and the air con was good. Very clean throughout, excellent shower. The included breakfast is limited to Thai but made with a lot of care and skill, the noodle wraps were very unique. If this isn't to your taste you also get toast, croissants, jams and tea/coffee etc. Stay is 10 mins walk from the clock and centre.

A great place to stay for a day or even a week. Family very polite, spotless bathroom and cozy room. A good experience to stay in an old wooden house, they keep it tidy and reasonably clean in all areas. Aircon is great even in our room which uses the bathroom down the hall. Breakfast generous and great value for money. I will be back.

Beautiful , traditional house in the old town., managed by a lovely family. Would highly recommend. ”
The hostess is very nice and helpful. She helped us hire motorbike and also let us hang around after check out as we had a late flight. Breakfast was included..

Clean and friendly people. Disadvantage is shared bathroom with toilet. It’s easy and rational to rent a moped.

Original House in Chiang Rai ”
You can rent the motorbike and other tours, very nice breakfast and the family staff very friendly. The walls of the house is not very isolated, so by night you can hear all the sounds from other rooms.

Quiet place to stay”
Have to step softly on the wooden floor especially during the late night. Owner will notify you not to make noise during night time. Simple breakfast. And I lost my purse when I had my breakfast there. ='(

Overpriced for this property. Needs a little TLC Close to Saturday Night Walking Street Market Breakfast toast, croissant and banana - tea / coffee OK but would not stay here again as there are more reasonably priced rooms in Chiang Rai.

A little overpriced”
Somewhat overpriced for the rooms which had a shared bathroom. We did expect a little more along the lines of a Thai Teak home. Room rate included a breakfast of croissants, toast, teas/coffees and the ubiquitous bananas... Quiet neighbourhood and very close to the huge Saturday Night Market (well worth a visit to this Market) Nothing really negative but at this room rate we would look elsewhere -

The rooms - although a bit dark because of all the wood - were clean and spacious. The bed was middling comfortable. The pressure of the shower was great! It is a shared bathroom. We liked that there was a fridge in the room. The family was really welcoming. They offer different options for breakfast, which we did not expect for that price. It is walking distance to the night bazar where we had delicious Thai foods!

A Nice choice for a few days. ”
This is a little different from your normal hostel. They have 3 private rooms with ac. They offer a home made breakfast and prepare it for you then not hrs before. This was a very Clean and Very friendly atmosphere which you could relax from your travels. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and the Location is very good.

Nice and quiet stay”
I really enjoyed my stay and I would recommand it. It did not feel like a hostel but more like a guesthouse, cosy and quiet. + : I slept in a 4 beds dormitory with no bunkbed, the mattress and sheets were very confortable Walkable distance from the Night Market and bus station 1 that leads to everywhere for cheap, yet very quiet street Good breakfast included ( croissant, toast, butter and jam, tee, coffee + one hot cooked dish from the list ) Big bathroom, shower gel and shampoo, free towel, very clean One free small bottle of water per day + cheap water supplier next door Friendly staff Good AC Not bad point, everything was great, thank you !

Great stop off with lovely people”
The staff/family are lovely here with it feeling more like a homestay than a guesthouse. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed, towels, fridge (free water and coke), daily cleaning service and free laundry (free!). We had breakfast included which was delicious, it was based on Asian cuisine as opposed to western type food which again added to the homestay feel. Alongside your dish, there are croissants, bread & jam, fruit with tea and coffee, there really is plenty to eat. The family here are really helpful with the young lady speaking very good English. She helped us with local places to eat and events that were on that were worth visiting. They also had motorbikes available to rent which again was really cheap. All I would say is that if you are prone to getting bitten, maybe just put bug repellent on at night, as we both got bitten here. But other than that it was an excellent stay with lovely people and would definitely stay again!!
