Great value hotel in the west end of Ao Nang”

This is a nice, modern hotel and looks to have been recently renovated. The WiFi was good, as was the breakfast. The staff were also very help and courteous. The pool is lovely and the balcony of the room is a nice place to kick back and relax. If you're planning a Krabi beach trip, one thing you need to know is that the Ao Nang beachfront is quite long. My wife and I stayed a few nights on the western end at Areetara and then spent a couple of nights at the eastern end at Krabi Heritage. This way, we got to see everything. Areetara is actually closer to Noppharat Beach, which is a about five minutes' walk away. In this part of Ao Nang, the restaurants are generally cheaper and almost all of them are staffed by local Thais. A lot of the restaurants on the other end of Ao Nang are staffed by ex-pats from elsewhere in Asia. We found the food to be more authentic around the Areetara. In regards to transport, there is a cluster of taxis and tuk tuks about 100 meters from the hotel; they can take you into the main part of Ao Nang for 40 baht per person. All in all a nice, clean hotel and good value for money.

Great Hospitality”

I visited Areetara for my honeymoon and was so amazed by their hospitality! First of all, I asked them for a complimentary room decor as i was visiting gor my honeymoon and they gave a really beautiful decor. Secondly, the view from my deluxe room was beautiful. The hotel itself is really beautiful and the view from the room was equally beautiful too plus the breakfast buffet options were good too. Thirdly, it is pretty near to all Halal restaurants plus the Ao Nang Landmark night market is also a 5 minutes bike ride away where you can find loads of halal food options including Pizza and Burgers. Last but but not the least, my wife fell severely ill on the last night of my stay and the hotel staff helped me alot. They came up to the room to provide doctor's contact and arranged the taxi to the hospital too to take my wife there and they didnt hesitate on giving an extension in my stay if my wife didnt feel. Thank you Areetara Resort for your hospitality. I'll definitely stay again :)

Modern and friendly hotel - what you expect”

we enjoyed our stay at areetara resort. the staff were friendly upon arrival and we even got a free room upgrade. our room had a view over the swimming pool which was small but adequate to have a relaxing swim and caught the sun at different times of the day. i was impressed with the breakfast selection and so pleased when i found out they do the best they can to keep food covered from any flies. you can have egg cooked in your choice of way too. our room was clean and the water pressure was good with warm water. the room also had a bath with a shower and an additional shower. the restaurant food was good although there were a few items on the menu not available. service in the restaurant can also be quite slow, but we found this to be the case in most restaurants in ao nang and railay! after tsunami warning we cancelled our 3 night stay in phi phi and booked in here for an extra 3 nights. got it for the same price we got on agoda and stayed in the same room.

Lovely hotel at reasonable price and good service”

i stayed at areetara for one week with my husband, two kids, and four other relatives. it was a great vacation for all of us. krabi had so many things we could do. the room was decently decorated with a big bed at the /same level with an extra bed without any space in between, so we didn't have to worry that our kids might fall during the night. the swimming pool is a little small though and can be quite noisy for the pool-access rooms. the service was great. the staff was very nice and ready to help us for whatever we asked. the location was ok but not perfect. it's about 10 minutes walk to ao-nang main area, close to the famous thai seafood reataurant, close to several mini marts, but not many other interesting choices (for food) near by. you may frequently need to go around by motorcycle with side car like us, if you travel with small children or old people. the beach is quite some distance away. in short, if you plan to go out for excursions a lot and only stay in the hotel in the night, this hotel is perfect.

Great option for staying in Ao Nang”

ao nang was a great place to visit, and we were using the room mainly only to sleep as were out exploring all of the days. we felt this room was lovely and everything we wanted, breakfast was good too with lovely smiley service. nice refreshing pool which the hotel is centered around. just on a side street off the main street of ao nang, (not beach front by any means which we knew), but great location as quiet and minimal traffic. this is more of a hotel than your typical resort, which was exactly what we were after as planning on exploring the area each day. would definitely stay at areetara again!

Great service, gorgeous room, decent location!”

About a 5-10 min walk from the main Ao Nang Street, Areetara is a fantastic resort that is situated away from the bustle of the town, but compensates it with a wonderful serenity. My girlfriend and I had a great time staying there because it was beautiful and the staff were excellent. The room is great, very spacious, and the bed is humongous! The bathroom is decent, with bathtub, and a separate shower which is great! And I was thankful that the hotel provides continental breakfast and it saved us the trouble of going out to hunt for food in the morning. Overall, great resort! Totally worth my money!

Very Nice Hotel.Close to Ao Nang beach & market !”

We stayed at Areetara for 3 Nights & 4 days at this resort during Chinese New Year long weekend. Very good hotel. Good ambience. They allowed us to check in by 10 am. Nice rooms. Hotel staff is very friendly & helpful. Hotel is located 5 mins walking distance to Ao Nang beach & the shopping market. Breakfast was fine. Nothing to complain but nothing too great either.Overall a very good experience with this hotel. They helped booking some package tours for us too. To do ( if you are staying at this hotel ): 1. Rent a bike @ 200 THB a day, only if you are not taking the island tour or any other package. But its good to explore the island on the bike. 2. Buy the big bottle of water from the Hotel itself @ 20 THB. It is cheaper than the market outside. 3. Once you walk outside the hotel and after a walk of arnd 700 meters you come to the main road. Turn left and enjoy the local food at some of the hawker food stalls on the right hand side. Real good food at a cheaper price. 4. On the main road, if you want to enjoy good Thai food with a sea view and a nice breeze, do try Luna Restaurant. ( 7 - 8 mins walking distance from Areetara ). 5. Try the 7 island snorkelling trip especially which contains the sunset tour & barbeque dinner on an island. Its awesome ! 6. Someone who likes Kayaking around the caves,try Bor Thor. Its a 5 - 6 km stretch & you get to see some very nice caves. 7. When you check in try to get a good view room from the Reception counter. I asked for one, but didnt get it as the hotel was almost full

Great hotel with friendly staff.”

I have an enjoyable experience staying in Areetara Resort. The environment there are very calm and peaceful. It is also not far from the busy street of Ao Nang beach with various types of transportation available in front of the hotel. I would like to stay with them the next visit to Ao Nang, Krabi. It is a worth to recommend to my friends and family.

Comfortable and relaxing”

We're pretty much enjoyed the service during the stay in Areetara Resort, especially the efficiency and prompt reply for my email regarding to the hotel airport transfer booking before the day we depart. The resort provides good breakfast with western and their local cuisine, we love the clean and comfortable room with nice view, especially the awesome pool view at the balcony. The location is pretty much nearby the shopping area too. In conclusion, i will definitely go back to Areetara Resort for my next Krabi trip.

the moment you take your first few steps towards the reception counter, you'd know you chose the right resort to stay at. you almost immediately get the r & r vibe as you wait around at the lobby for your rooms to be ready. to make things better they will serve you complimentary drinks as you wait. the service that i got from the resort was stupendous. they were willing to go the extra mile to assure that we had a good time for the whole duration of the stay. although it didn't have much features, i was more than content with everything else they had. the location of the resort was excellent. one could find anything they wanted around the vicinity of areetara. just 5 mins away, if you were on a scooter, you will arrive at the restaurants, bars and shopping area. everything you will ever need for the trip can be found there. in short, if i ever get the opportunity for a holiday in krabi again, areetara will be my first choice.

Lovely resort spacious rooms”

The reviews from most people about this place is what got me to book it in the first place. It is nicely tucked not too far away from the main Ao Nang beach, but yet still accessible. The rooms are a nice size and the balcony on each room is perfect for couples. The decent sized pool with sunbeds tucked in the middle on the resort, gives it a nice shelter away from the outdoors. The service at poolside was impeccable and the staff are always ready to help you. A room on a high floor also helps as it takes away the distractions from the families who usually stay on the lower floors. The restaurant in the resort is not the best and wifi can be a pain when its only accessible in the lobby. But those are just small issues which can be negligible. On the whole a great place to stay at for a very reasonable price. Airport transfer as well as the check in/check out process was very swift. I would definitely stay at Aree Tara again.

Pleasant accommodation, fine location”

We traveled to Krabi for a scuba weekend out of Ao Nang. Ao Nang and the commercial strip between it and the highway are too built up for our tastes. Areetara has a great location for those who prefer a little more quiet. Though the street it is on is shoulder-to-shoulder hotels, you're very close to a quiet, much less touristy beach. The main restaurant strip on the west side of Ao Nang is only a 10 minute walk, though, and Ao Nang itself only about 15. So we found the location ideal for our purposes and the hotel pleasant. Rooms are cute and have a fridge, and our balcony looked over a wooded area. Service was pretty good. Wifi is free only if you book through agoda!

nice and pleasant hotel in quieter part of Ao-nang”

we stayed at areetara hotel for couple of nights,is not exacly on the main road at ao-nang.room was very nice and clean,staff very friendly and helpful,well worth staying there.we were on backpackers holidays so the hotel was more than fine,if you looking for nice and clean room i can only recomend areetara hotel.is 5-10 minutes walk from main street of ao-nang.ao.nang by itself is nice resort with lots of trips and activities which can be done there.definitely would go back.

Had an enjoyable family vacation. ”

This is our second Krabi vacation at Aree Tara. We returned to this cosy, out of town resort, as we had enjoyed our previous stay 2 years back. We are easy going, so no complaints from us. Booked 2 pool excess rooms, for our family of 5, for 5 days 4 nights from 20-24 June 2012. Our teenage kids were thrilled and being able to jump right into the pool just outside the rooms. Less privacy though, but we didn’t mind. The food from the restaurant was enjoyed by the poolside. The staff were friendly and courteous. Located in a quiet area, off the main road. Within a 5 minute walk away are a couple of eateries, mini marts, travel agents, hawker food stalls, private and public transport to meet our needs. We arranged our day activity of white water rafting and ATV rides there. A 10 minute brisk walk, will get you to more eateries, shops and Ao Nang Beach. You can take the public bus along the main road to the little town area where there are Macs, Starbucks, BK and Haagen Daaz available as well. The jetty from which, to catch the long tail boat out to the islands, were noted to be nearby too. May hire a rider and his samlor to bring you around; or take public transport. We have no reservations, whatsoever, of staying at Aree Tara again.

nice, cozy place to stay”

I was staying at areetara for one night. The staffs were very helpful. the room was clean and comfortable. The location is also near to the Ao Nang beach. It was raining but fortunately they could lend us umbrella. And after the island tour, we could borrow clean towels at the lobby and use the shower room to clean up, even after we've already checked out in the morning. There is no free WiFi at the room but they provide free WiFi at the lobby. It is a nice place to stay at Krabi.

Great hotel recommended for all”

booked a night's stay at areetara after reading rave reviews and the hotel turned out to be awesome! the staff were very welcoming and we got a free upgrade to a deluxe room with a pool view upon arrival. regretted my decision to book a room at another hotel with a better location for the next 2 nights of our stay at krabi. while areetara is a little secluded, the walk to the main shopping street wasn't as long as i thought. the next time i visit krabi, i will definitely stay at areetara again.

Everything was so good”

Stauffer all very service minded. Cleaning staff as well. Staff can recommended the data for tourists are good. Orange juice is served at the reception check-in hotel. Rooms are clean, water well Pool Cleaner. Offers motorcycle rental 200 baht per 24-hour If ask me How far go to Ao Nang from the hotel ? I can said, just a little not far because the shops along the way. Make sure to enjoy walking always. There is room service food prices, according to the hotel, they're normal. Delicious and stuffed If i can back to Krabi I'll stay here for sure:)

we had stay at areetara deluxe room for 3 nights, its nice environment for a vacation. it is about 10 minutes walking distance to ao nang beach . 7-11, burger king,haagen dazs, starbucks are within walking distance as well. the night market with nice food was reachable along the street too. scooter can be rent and massage service available along the street. day trip package to island or jungle tracking can get from the hotel.

Nice & Cosy Hotel with Great Service”

This is our first visit to Ao Nang, Krabi. We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The rooms were clean & spacious enough for both of us. I really like the towel which was folded into the shape of an elephant & was placed on the bed. I find it really unique. The staff was also very friendly & helpful. Hotel's location is on the quieter side of Ao Nang. Pleasant 10mins walk from Ao Nang Beach & shopping market. Overall we enjoyed our stay & will definitely visit again. =)

Wonderful Resort”

I live in Bangkok and was traveling around Krabi with my family who were visiting from the States. I made a mistake in booking my stay at Areetara but both Areetara and Agoda were so wonderful in helping me fix my mistake. I was able to change my dates and just had to pay the difference with what I paid and the current cost of room. I was a little bummed that I made the mistake and had to pay $30 dollars (because I got the room at a 50% discounted rate) and they gave me a free upgrade, a free extra bed (we had 3 people) and free breakfast for everyone. It more than made up for the additional $30 I paid and made staying at Areetara more than worthwhile. We were in the room that is by the poolside and were able to open the balcony door and walk out to the pool. We went for a swim every morning and enjoyed basking in the sun. I will definitely come back again.
