Not worth the money ”
The room was not worth the amount I paid. There were cobwebs in the shower in the window; a scorpion that almost bit my 7 year old and a spider in my bed that bit me. The sink was clogged and had to have some one come fix it.

Beyond fabulous ”
A truly legendary property with service to match. Maybe some properties have more bells and whistles but none have more substance. Treat yourself to a very special time here.

Old building. Cold shower water. Very noisy AC. Ugly hallways. ”
Needs major renovation and improvements to be worthy of Waldorf Astoria name.

July AZ Trip”
It was nice. Room was spacious but condition of exterior and approach to room was lacking. But the character and design was incredible. Beds, linens, etc very comfortable but room temperature too warm and could not get it to cool down late in the night.

Great Location, Beautiful grounds ”
Our stay was great. We loved being able to walk throughout the shady resort with our little ones. There were 8 pools throughout the resort and we loved that. At one point we had a pool to ourselves for the evening. The rooms were clean except for a huge yellow stain on the cloth headboard and on the cloth on the chair in the room. Parking was also horrible but I think that was because the State Bar was being held while we were there. We had to park at the parking garage which was a little bit of a long walk, but on the same grounds as the resort. Those were the only negative thing I noticed...this hotel is also pet friendly which was awesome.

Good place to stay in Pheonix”
Fine hotel and if you are a FLW fan, then definitely stay here and enjoy the pool area etc. (main pool is nicer than some of the "private" pools), but personally I am not sure it was interesting enough to warrant a second visit. If you are in Pheonix anyway however then this is a great place to stay. Also, we were in the generic Ocatilla wing which has the advantage of all day snacks, etc. but I would be curious if some of the more historic rooms are more interesting from the inside. Ours was fine but just sort of bland. The dining options are great however and definitely a nice place for a cocktail and dinner outside on a warm night.
