Place's great, ”
place's near to bus station and train station to arashiyama. convenience store and some fast food restaurant is very near, if you want to travel a bit around kyoto, I recommend to rent a bike, its easier to travel to find places to eat or visit some areas, you'll have great time. if the place's too far, just use the train / bus. anyway the bike shop is near to kyoto station and its around 1500 yen / 24 hours The Hotel's staffs are nice, they offered you whether you want to ECO-clean (means they'll only change trashbin, towel and toothbrush) or a full clean service, if you choose eco clean you'll get free drink card that you can use in their vending machine. they also provide microwave and laundry area(at least 200 yen needed, for wash machine and dry machine)

Enjoyed our stay here”
Value for money. Didn't know about free dinner at the time of booking so was surprised. Nishin soba was delicious. Opted for breakfast option too and food was delicious, quite a wide spread to us, for a business hotel to have. Near Hankyu Omiya station and Family mart just beside. Will definitely stay again!

Room is spacious and location is convenient ”
To our surprise, the Twin room is sufficient to fit 4 adults. So my friend and I have a Queen size bed by ourselves. What we were not aware is that the hotel is just 2 blocks away to Keifuku tram station (Shin Omiya station). It makes it convenient to get to Arashiyama at early morning. It is also near the bus and train station.

Very cozy room, close to the trains for sightseeing, restaurants and convenience store for snacks, and the bus back to Kansai International Airport. Staff was very friendly and nice! A great place to stay in when you're in Kyoto.

Good location but not the greatest sleep”
Pros: More space than a lot of budget hotels in Japan, full size shower and tub plus a closet for suitcases. Good facilities. Really friendly and helpful staff. Super close to the subway for easy access to all major attractions in Kyoto City. Cons: The walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors laughing and talking until 1 am. It’s off a main street so you hear all the trucks and sirens. The bed is really firm and might not be great after a few nights. The smell from the smoking room fills the entrance when people are using it.

Super value stay”
This hotel has a very convenient location which the nearest station is just within 3min's walk. The staff are superb friendly and helpful and they have English and Chinese speaking staff to accommodate the needs of tourists. We are allowed to store our luggage before check in and after check out which is so convenient for us. If you are a light sleeper like me, you might be disturbing by the noises come from the street as this hotel is near the main road. However, this does not affect my sleep at night as the noises are still bearable. Definitely will recommend to my friends for this hotel!

Convenient, clean, nice staff”
The rooms are big when compare with the hotels in Osaka. Clean. location is convenient. Restaruants around. 100 yen store just around the corner. you can go to Arashiyama directly from the train station just next to the hotel. I will definitely stay here when I come back to Kyoto.

Exceptional”
This is a place that travellers explorers must try up. The receptionists not only do their jobs as receptionists but they also give you information and advice. They have maps that you can ask for a few copies for yr group. The bathrooms are small, very small, but clean. The breakfast is simple but no complaint when it is free but enough to start the day. You won't regret.

My preferred hotel in Kyoto ”
The staff are gracious and efficient. We received complimentary bowl of noodles for supper which is welcomed when one arrives late n too tired to step out of Ark hotel to search for a meal. Breakfast is substantial with Continental -cereals yoghurt choice of bakery n Local choice of rice porridge miso tofu fruits etc The main Hankyu Omiya station is 3 mins away. There is a subway called Shijo-omiya station one min away and 3 bus stops nearby to take you to the Gion area, Kyoto station & to other parts of Kyoto. Highly recommended

Friendly staff”
We arrived earlier, staff was friendly to keep our luggages due to yet right time to check in. Hotel is very near train and bus station, a lot of nice foods around, very convenient to go every way. Inside hotel only enough stay for 2persons, unable to add even one. Clean hotel and has ready sleeping suit for us.

This is a bit dated hotel yet well maintained and managed. The rooms are large ( we got the twin room). The hotel has many major bus stops that connect you to all parts of kyoto. My only beef was that they charged us an accommodation tax which wasnt made clear while booking

Good stay for couple”
Standard room decor, but the bed was a bit stiffer than other hotels I tried in Japan. It had the feeling of box spring. Slept okay though. Eco cleaning, so just towel changes. There is a Kyoto accommodation tax on top of the normal booking cost. Amenities include a coin laundry and microwave and vending machines of course. Key is an actual metal key, which needs to be left with the staff at the front desk during ventures outside of the hotel, which I thought was strange. I guess they don't want customers losing the key. This might be a security risk, easy to get a room key back, didn't have to confirm my identity.
