Highly recommended ”

I loved Cown Lanta Resort. It’s located on the end of Klong Dao Beach that’s filled with restaurants, massage studios, bars, where you can go for long walks or run. But the Resort is completely private, it’s not facing the main beach, it’s quite large and we particularly loved the private beach that is beautiful completely separated from main beach. Breakfast was amazing, many choices, fresh friut juices and we didn’t get tired of the selection in one week. Pool areas are great, spacious and perfect for little kids. There is the Raggea bar with sunset views and really cool seating ideas, which is perfect If you don’t want to go far to the main beach for a drink. The only complaint I would have is the prices of food, drinks and services, but it’s just as in any other resort in Thailand. I highly recommend Crown Lanta Resort and Koh Lanta island, it’s a perfect place for vacation in Thailand.

Over all a great experience”

This was my first visit to the marvelous Crown Lanta Resort and Spa and I’m glad I chose it! That’s not saying there weren’t a couple of issues, but over all my experience was very positive and extremely enjoyable! First of all I must mention the obvious presence of the Resort Manager, Mr. Vichit Somboonchoke. Everything was under his watchful eye and I very much appreciated knowing that he was very available and approachable. He even made the effort to personally come and wish me well as I was checking out! Additionally I wish to mention and gratefully acknowledge the efforts of the Day Reception Manager Ms. Louy!! She was remarkable in her friendly welcome and eagerness to assist in any way possible. She has a wonderful memory for names too! She’s another reason this was such a great experience. After booking my room several months earlier I decided to inquire as to any available upgrades just a few days before my arrival. The Resort was very kind to offer me a discounted rate for the Ocean Sunset Villa—and I am so grateful I decided to do this!! The room was so spacious and airy. The terrace and it’s spectacular view was so worth the extra expense! Breathtaking views at sunset but just as beautiful seeing the moon reflecting on the Andaman Sea in the early morning as well! There was a BBQ Buffet offered at the poolside Cliff restaurant one evening. It’s a bit pricey perhaps for Thai standards but so worth it! Don’t miss that opportunity which is offered twice a week! Breakfast was at the wonderful Peak Restaurant each morning with breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. There was a wonderful selection and the staff was always very attentive. If there was a downside at all to this experience it had to do with two things: the venue is set on a hill side so please be aware of this if walking up and down steep hill sides is an issue. However the staff will happily sent a cart or buggy to pick you up and bring you to any part of the resort if you

Excellent Hotel”

We stayed at Crown Lanta for 3 nights. And the experience is superb！ The hotel is well-located, very close to the pier and Salatan town. The hotel is nice and clean.The employees there are very nice and helpful. The room is clean, modern designed and very detail-oriented. Normally speaking, it is very difficult to keep the room clean from the beach, but our room was still very tidy and cozy. The shower location is well designed so the bathroom wouldn't get too wet. We had pool-access room. And the pool is very very nice with good temperature and depth. As we went there at green season, the hotel has buy one get the same treatment promotion. And we had the massage at the hotel. The messieurs techniques are good, but the service is rather so-so as they don't speak much English. The only negative point about the hotel is the internet is very very expensive. 900 Baht for 3 days. But if you don't need Internet that much, hotel lobby would provide two computers for free internet. The restaurant in the hotel doesn't have much choice but it still provides very good food. If we visit Koh Lanta second time, we would definitely choose this hotel again!

3 Days in Crown Lanta”

3 nights stay in Crown Lanta hotel on September, this hotel offer very attractive price during low season due to monsoon - however there is no much rain during our stay ther, so overall it is an excellent deal. Koh Lanta island is a quiet and peaceful island, suitable for relaxing holiday, even better if you have transport (if you drive or rent a bike) to round around the island. The hotel also offer island hopping/snorkeling at per person. Food in Koh Lanta island is not the cheapest or best you can find in thailand, but overall it is still reasonable at average quality of serving

Exceptional”

My husband and I stayed at Koh Lanta 4 nights. The first 3 nights we stayed at Lalaanta resort on the south west end of the island where the beach is prestige and just plain beautiful. The forth night, we decided to book at the Crown hotel just so we would be closer to the ferry on our way out of the island. The Crown hotel is a really nice place. We had a pool access room, which was delightful. Nothing better than to step out of bed and into your own infinity swimming pool! The staff was super nice and helpful, the room was clean and nice, the bed was very comfortable and the included breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. Unfortunately. The northwest of the island does not have the beautiful beaches as does the southwest end. However, we felt the swimming pools (yes, there are 2 to choose from) made up for the lack of beach. We recommend this hotel if you don’t care for beach and if you like to be close to town.

Lovely and new”

Lanta Cliff only opened in Dec. 2008 and naturally everything is still shiny and new, but there are a few teething problems. For example: the phone in our room wasn't working, and the massive pond at the front of the hotel isn't finished yet. The staff were lovely though and we were upgraded to one of the deluxe rooms overlooking the sea and the pool. There weren't many guests around even though we were there during the high season but I'm sure things will pick up in the next year. Breakfast was very nice, with good quality coffee and fresh salads and fruit. The hotel is built on a cliff and to get around the property you may need to request the hotel buggy. Some of the paths are very, very steep. There is another downside: the nearest beach (Klong Dao) is a 5 minute walk away. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the pier and the beach. Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay at Lanta Cliff again.

Comfortable, Stress-free, Calm and Romantic Stay.”

Me and my wife were in our honeymoon so we chose the Deluxe Pool Access Room and it was really fantastic! The room was big, comfortable and quiet. But for a 5 star resort, I wasn't expecting that they doesn't have a flat TV or card keys to enter the room, anyway, it wasn't a big deal for us, just an opinion as a frequent traveller. The room's pool was very quiet, clean, private and great water temperature! We also tried the bigger public pool that's awesome, with a great cocktail bar! The Cliff Restaurant is near the pool and serves simple meals at acceptable prices. Due to the location, we need to have a good physical preparation to get to the Peak Restaurant where they serve the great breakfast buffet! But normally the staff gives everyone a lift to anywhere inside the resort if they pass by with their cars. From the Cliff, you have access directly to the private beach that is fantastic! You have also a pathway that leads you to the Klong Dao Beach, another great and calm beach! There are 4 different hours for the free ride from the hotel to the Saladan Town, and back. We normally get the ride to the town for dinner and shopping and come back to the hotel by Tuk Tuk (paying around 40-50 bahts) so we didn't have the stress of the time limit. They have tourist desk that informs you about all the activities offers and where you can buy the tour packages. The staff was very friendly and helpful, although most of them doesn't speak english well.

Lanta Cliff Beach Resort - excellent experience”

For us it was a surprising excellent experience. We had chosen first another hotel (4 stars) in Koh Lanta that seems more luxurious according to their website, but this hotel was fully booked, and we were proposed to stay at Lanta Cliff Beach Resort and Spa (3 stars) as an alternative. We did not expect something special and thought first to stay there just a few days to find something better once in Koh Lanta. But to our surprise we found a marvelous hotel of higher quality than a 3 stars. It was so enchanting that we spent there all our holidays. We strongly recommend this hotel that is one of the newest and the best hotels in the North West of Koh Lanta.

Very good”

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Crown Lanta. My only gripe was the airport transfer - we made a booking 2 weeks in advance and the transport didn't turn up. Waited for a good 45 minutes before we decided to take the bus to Krabi Town and car ferry to reach Koh Lanta. That isn't so much of an issue really, not after we reached Crown. Gorgeous surroundings, we had a pretty awesome room with our own private access to the pool. Sure there were mosquitos and flies around but I think that's pretty normal in a setting like Lanta. Crown Reggae offered amazing views of the sea and sunset and had excellent service. Room service was pretty alright - slow but the food was good. No complaints there. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Lovely spot with great food”

We loved staying at the Crown Lanta. The staff could not be any kinder, and the food was delicious. Everything we ate was incredible, especially the free breakfast. The buffet spread includes a soup station where you can create your own Thai soup (there’s also tons of western options like eggs and pancakes). Crown Lanta has a beautiful pool and spa, and the reggae bar is awesome. A cool spot to grab a more casual dinner and drinks. We had massages and they were cheap and dreamy too. Only two things to know about this spot: it’s on the North part of the island. This is good because it’s very close to where you get the ferry, shortening the time it takes to get there by 1-1.5 hours. This is also tricky because it has a rockier beach, though Long Beach is a close walk and very flat. We found the most beautiful beaches in the south though, so rent a motorbike or taxi and get down there to see them!!

Very good hotel in Koh Lanta”

we choose Crown Lanta for our first trip of Koh Lanta. The hotel doesn't make us disappointed. we stayed here 4 nights. wish we would ask for more. Location - close to Kor Kwang beach and easy to go Saladan markets, nightlife and restaurants. Hotel - old but renovated. very friendly staff. housekeeper comes to your room around 9am to clean room. quite early so we try to leave room for her duty. Reggae Bar - our favourite place of every evening. This hotel is the first choice to come back Koh Lanta

Beautiful Hotel and Friendly Staff”

our stay at crown lanta was very enjoyable. they arranged to have their shuttle pick us up at the pier when our ferry arrived (which was so wonderful considering the many tuk-tuk and taxi drivers that immediately begin to hassle you and attempt to rip you off). once we arrived the staff greeted us with juice and took our luggage to our room. the room was beautiful and very clean. the pool and bar area is absolutely gorgeous with views that look over the ocean and small private beach. we rented motor bikes while on lanta and used them to explore the island during our stay. it made going to and from our hotel and to other areas of the island so easy and really gave us a freedom as if we were at home. the hotel wasn't on one of the main strips of beach it is a very short motor bike ride into saladan towards more of the larger beaches and shops/restaurants.

Heavenly - highly recommended”

Our trip to the Crown Lanta got off to a rocky start when the hotel transfer never arrived at the airport. Instead we spent 5 hours catching the mini-bus from the town, met some interesting people on the way and had a laugh at all the stops the bus made....but it wasn't what we had ordered. We spoke to the management at the hotel who couldn't apologise enough. They compensated us with two delightful massages at the spa and guaranteed a private transfer back to Krabi - which was perfect. The pool access room was gorgeous - room 118 - was in the middle of the block - bed was comfortable, the roof in the bathroom was leaking with all the rain but it didn't seem to matter. I highly recommend you consider paying a little extra to get pool access it was sublime. Lying on the sunbeds on the deck right next to the pool watching the birds was so peaceful.The resort is well maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful. We hired a bike from the hotel and drove around the island, most of it was closed for low season but it was pretty to see. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety. Food at the restaurant in the evening was pretty average.

Great stay at the Crown Lanta. Beautiful gardens, great pools nice staff”

The Crown Lanta is a great place to stay on Koh Lanta. As we traveled in the low season, moonson rainy, it was nice to be in a resort that offered full amenities such as great pools, private beach, restaurants and a bar. At this time of year many of the small beachside resorts and restaurants on Koh Lanta close so it's great that we had everything we needed at the Crown. Especially since the Koh Lanta beaches are covered in garbage during the monsoon season. We stayed in a pool villa and it was gorgeous well worth it. Breakfast was great and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We will return.

Nice Place for Honeymooners”

We stay at Crown Lanta Resort and Spa for two nights to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary and we went here at low season but hotel staff treat us very well and gave us free room upgrade. From our room we can access directly to the pool, the beach and we can hear the sound of wave from our room. It's really quiet and cozy place, the people here are friendly and there are free transportation from hotel to saladan vice versa.

Luxury hotel, great staff”

I stayed at the Crown Lanta for one night only, and wished I could have stayed longer. I got a very good deal on price as it was low season, and it was outstanding value for money. The hotel was deserted when we were there - only 2 other guests! So we got an upgraded room and the whole pool to ourselves plus some very attentive staff. The rooms are big, with huge bathrooms. There is a private beach which is lovely. Food is great, although a little pricey. It's fairly isolated from the main town area, but you can walk to the beach, and there's a free shuttle bus every few hrs to the main town. You can also take tuk tuks back. Overall I had a fantastic stay at Crown, and would definitely recommend it.

Perfect Stay”

Crown Lanta is the perfect place for a base whilst enjoying Koh Lanta. There is plenty to do in the resort itself with its excellent rooms, pool and food, and it's practically on a beach and a short ride away from a small town where you can find great food, markets and massages. We were very well looked after the whole time we were there and didn't want to leave!

Absolutly amazing”

We have stayed at Crown Lanta for 8 nights and can highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The resort (room, pool, restaurant etc.) was very clean. They have a little office opposite the reception where you can hire scooters, day trips (to PhiPhi, Koh Ha or Koh Rok) or transfer which was very convenient. The breakfast was simply fantastic as we had a great choice of fresh food - from waffles and pancakes to freshly prepared Thai-soup. We could not ask for more. We would definitely come book this hotel again!

Excellent luxury hotel”

We stayed at the hotel 3 nights in Sept, it was low season and there were not many guests. We had an excellent pool access room in a quiet part of the resort. The room was stylish, clean and spacious. A little bit islolated from the main beach, but we had the opportunity to use the hotel bicycles as well as to use the free transportation to the local town center. Breakfast was amazing, but other restaurant services were far too pricy comparing to the room rate we paid. I suppose during high season the rates are higher therefor the restaurant was quite pricy. The resort is quite big, you need to get a golf buggy to drive you around the resort area. The hotel screw up our boat ride from Koh Mook to Koh Lanta, which ment a 2 hour delay, but it was well compensated when we finally arrived to the hotel. Very good service in all ways!

Beautiful staff”

I can't speak highly enough of the staff who work at Crown Lanta. They were so accommodating, hardworking and kind…Crown Lanta is all about the location and while it can take a few hours to get there, to see the island is well worth the trip.. Koh Lanta has it all; good shopping, fabulous restaurants and spectacular beaches with the most amazing views! I highly recommend it!
