Modern comfortable hotel”

Baan Nan is a very good place to stay. The first impression of the hotel is very positive - modern, very clean and comfortable. The rooms too are very good. Spotlessly clean with plenty of space, comfortable beds, free wi fi, tea and coffee facilities and table space for working which is excellent. The cable tv has limited English speaking channels but does have one news channel in English which is certainly sufficient for a short stay. The hotel is very conveniently located within easy walking distance of both the river and the central shopping area. Here there are numerous options available for eating. The staff, although their English is limited, are friendly and helpful. The only negative about the hotel is the breakfast which has limited western choices. There are plenty of beautiful sweets and cakes which are not really breakfast fare. The addition of an egg station with freshly cooked omelettes and some bacon would make a big difference. However having said that, there are still plenty of options and even a jar containing corn flakes! I would certainly recommend Baan Nan as a good value for money and very comfortable place to stay.

Arranged a airport pick up with the hotel owner, didnt know that it was absolutely free of charge!!About 10 mins from APT to hotel. Pretty new hotel, great staffs! Room is very clean and comes with a balcony! Can hear the birds chirpping from the balcony. Breakfast was simple but good for that scale hotel. Explore the city with free mountain bike!!7 eleven near by. Went to Sao Din na Noi n Pae Muang Pee soil formations, very good excursion. The owner can arrange a car for you abt 1700 to 2000 baht, plus gasoline. i had a Honda City. Overall, Baan Nan, in my opinion, is the best hotel. Have passed by many other hotels during my bike trip, none can beat Baan Nan. Will be back!!!

Blissful quiet vacation”

During breakfast the owner came by and kindly provided maps for us to explore Nan with. He was careful in observing what we wanted to do and how much time we had. His temple recommendations were excellent and we wouldn't have found the gems we found had it not been for him. Room was very clean but tv was only Thai channels. But we didn't watch tv so that didn't matter. Just behind the hotel there are lots of restaurants. Best to visit Nan with your own transport though. We had a rental and it was just great with Google Maps. It practically guided us everywhere and we never worried about not being able to get back to Baan Nan.

Exceptional”

I had a beautiful suite on the 3rd floor with a tamarind tree and a bauhinia in full flower right outside of the room. The birds in these two trees provided lots of entertainment. The bed was hard which is normal for Thai beds, but the bedding was nice. It was cold in Nan for a couple of days in Jan. (14 deg. C all day,) so the hot water in the shower was really appreciated. The staff at the hotel were very helpful in providing local restaurant recommendations and in finding us a driver/guide for the greater Nan area and arranging a ride to Chiang Mai! Be aware that people in Nan eat dinner on the early side - 6:00 to 7:00pm is the norm, and that there's virtually no one on the street after 9:30pm. Overall, this is a great place to stay in a very sweet, unspoiled part of Thailand.

Aged friendly ”

This place's beyond my expectation as I really wanted to find somewhere new and equipped with lift for my aged father. This hotel meets what I expected; however, it's a bit far from Nan city center for 500 meters of walking distance. Due to its location, we can walk to the evening markets where we can find some local food stalls and had chances to try something new. The service was great as every one tried to help us of city tour and TAXI with reasonable price.

Most hospitable boutique hotel in Nan”

The hotel locates near Nan market and major Nan attractions like Wat Phumin and the National museum. It's about 30 minute walk to those attractions. The best thing about this hotel is its owner who made sure we had the most memorable stay in Nan. He and his guest truly lived up to Northern Thai's hospitality! He helped us booked the car to visit nearby national parks which were gorgeous and worth the time and effort. The driver, Jay, took us to the best sites in those parks and took good care of us for the whole time. Even though the hotel is just a boutique hotel but the breakfast served was quite nice with varieties of Thai and Western foods. However, they made the best pad Thai I ever had for our lunch meal! Room is average size but clean and comfortable.

Great Hotel. Great value”

You would be hardpressed to find a better hotel for the money. Very friendly staff. When we checked in for one night the hotel was nearly empty. When wereturned another night with no reservation they were full, but the young man at reception guided us personally to another hotel nearby. I highly recommend the Baan Nan.

Good!”

This was my first visit to Nan and I wasn't sure where to stay. I just chose Baan Nan because of their good reviews. Positives: The management was very helpful with all of my needs and questions as well as setting up a taxi for a days excursions around the area. They offer free airport transfer which was nice as I would have had a hard time finding the hotel for the first time. Breakfast although not the best, was more than adequate to get me energized for the day! Negatives: Except for a 5 minutes walk to a 7/11, everything else is a much longer walk!

Treetop Treat”

We had a three-day, two-night stay in a beautifully furnished suite on the top floor. We woke up early with the morning light shining through the many, large windows that looked out into the treetops on one side and across rooftops to the mountains surrounding the city. All beverages and snacks in the room came free of extra charge. We sat on the terrace each morning and had coffee while watching the chipmunks and small canary-like birds in the trees. The entire facility was very clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast included a very good selection of breads and wonderful Thai treats. My only criticism is that the small restaurant was only open for breakfast. However, there were many nice restaurants along the river which is nearby. I definitely plan to stay there again when in Nan.

The hotel is well located, easy to visit Nan. And the surrounding area, we needed to rent a car. The very friendly owners helped us to rent (because if our language barrier). Despite of unluckily 2 rainy days, we still enjoyed our Nan trip. Very clean. Have all the equipments, towels, shampoo... (except tooth brush). Thank you and see you again next time

Hidden gem hotel just out of town centre”

Super clean & comfortable hotel which is hidden in a residential area with 15 mins walks to morning market,some attractions and some local restaurants & noodle shops. The room is handy in all aspects,the bed is comfortable with spotless clean white sheet&pillows,powerful hot Shower.The air-condition is easy to control. We were happy to have two free pick up from bus terminal .The staff helped us to find a reliable day tour with driver in a reasonable price. The owner and staff tried their best to make us feel at home. We were enjoyed very much staying three nights in this hotel.

Free airport pick-up service. A bit far from city center (Temples and Museum) can reach by bicycles or car. A bit small for shower booth in bathroom. Breakfast is nice with Twinings tea. Wheel-chair friendly hotel. Parking was safe.

great stay at Baan Nan Hotel”

Staff very friendly, not all of them speak English but when necessary they found someone who did. We arrived at the bus station at 3am and someone from the hotel picked us up which I thought was above the call of duty but we were so grateful. Great location near city centre. Bike hire included in room rate although these don't seem to be maintained as well as they could be but we found 2 bikes that did the job ok. Overall a lovely place to stay, room very nice and clean with our own little balcony, and no other English speaking people to be seen which is how we like it!!
