Excellent Value for Money”
This was my first time staying at Baleka Resort & I would stay there again. I've been to Bali several times and the location of Baleka is wonderful- only a 5 minute walk to the beach! Baleka is in-between Seminyak & Kuta in a town called Legian it's very convenient. The rooms were clean, quiet & cold. We stayed in an older, standard room and as other reviews mentioned, the lighting was quite dark but totally worth the price we paid. Baleka now has two pools and both were lovely. Many of the rooms are off the pool but they have an extra sitting room in front to reduce noise & increase privacy. I would recommend this hotel! Note: This is not at all Baleka's fault but from December to February a huge amount of trash washes up on Legian, Kuta & Seminyak beaches. In Legian, the beach closet to Baleka, there were mountains of trash. It was disgusting and we did not swim in the ocean the entire time. If possible, avoid going to Bali for those months.

Inexpensive but we loved it!”
We stayed at Baleka Resort for 9 nights as part of a large group celebrating a friend's 50th. About 8 other of our friends stayed at a 5 star resort in Seminyak and they wished they had stayed at the Baleka! It is a small hotel which is what I prefer. It is not modern or flash but the rooms were clean and very comfortable with more than enough room. There are two pools, one with a little swim up bar. Our group enjoyed meeting up around both of them on numerous occasions. But its the staff that gives this little hotel such a great feel. They are all, bar none, very friendly and accommodating. Some of them can't speak much English but we always managed to get our message across. I have to give a big shout out to Toni, the manager. He was so very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. He made a point to remember everyone's name which I think is the sign of a great manager. If I went back to Legian I would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous Oasis”
My boyfriend and I recently had a 4 night stay at the Baleka and wished we could have stayed for longer. Our room was clean and comfortable and was was cleaned to a high standard each day of our stay. Though really who goes to Bali to hang in your room, especially when the Baleka has a lovely pool complete with swim up bar! Breakfast at the hotel was good and the location in Legian is perfect, with the beach and a myriad of bars & restaurants a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel caters for all travelers and is great value for money, particularly if going to Bali as a family. The staff were all very professional and a joy to deal with - thank you to them all from Jenny & Glen we look forward to coming back.

My home away from home!!! ”
Staying at the Baleka never disappoints!!! It is on the perfect location. The food is great. It is clean..The wifi reception is the best I have come across in Bali. I love that the Bamboo Spa is right there for when you want a massage. Tony is a lovely man and he and the staff are always happy to help and are very friendly and they all speak English. I will never ever stay at another hotel. This is my home away from home. I would recommend Baleka to anyone. Definantly great value for money..I would live there if I could!!!!! The pool Is my favourite pool out of all the hotels I have stayed in. Great water pressure in the shower (which is hard to come across in Bali). And in the restaurant, make sure you meet Scooby. He's a great guy. All of the staff are great. I only got back 2 months ago and last night I booked to stay at the baleka again in May next year. I can't wait!!!! See you soon Baleka. Terima Kasih for your hospitality. From Mandi

Clean Great location”
We stayed at the Baleka Resort Hotel for 10 days we found it to be clean & tidy. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The restaurant is looking a little tired but we were speaking to the manager & they are doing renovations starting this week. There are 2 pools one with a swim up bar that is mainly open at Happy hour. The rooms are spacious with large beds although they maybe could look at getting some newer pillows. There are plenty of sun lounges and staff are in attendance if you need food or drinks around the pool. The only down side is that there is no lift so if you have any difficulties walking or climbing stairs ask for a ground or 1st floor room. We would not hesitate in staying at the Baleka again

Stones throw from the beach with modern rooms”
I have been to Bali 10-15 times now and have tried a different hotel almost every time. I spotted the Baleka hotel hiding on Agoda and decided to give it a go for a holiday with my brother... it was a TERRIFIC decision. Modern and large rooms with all the mod-cons, great air conditioning, flat screen TV with cable, pool view from our window, above average toilets for Bali and a buffet breakfast every morning included in the price... perfect! The location is even better than where it is shown on the map as you can access/enter/leave from both sides of the hotel thanks to the attached Gula Gula Restaurant opposite the Ramada/Jayakarta.... this is a huge benefit as it cuts the walk to the beach in half compared to leaving from the main entrance! Very happy for the price we paid... will definitely be back here again in the near future

Love Baleka Hotel”
This is my 4th trip to Bali and I've eaten at the restaurant a few times. I arrived in Legian and was looking for a nice hotel (the one I'd initially booked was terrible). I checked out Baleka and decided to stay for my whole trip (10 days). The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. I stayed in the Deluxe room (was upgraded), but the Superior rooms are nice too. The location is great and I'm positive I'll be back. Being a solo female traveller I felt safe and it's my new favourite hotel. Other than having to put up with 'Schoolies week' I had a great stay. Thank you to all the staff especially Scooby and Ben

SO Much for SO Little!!”
We spent 2 nights at The Baleka on 4-6 Nov for the Better Half's Birthday in room 130. We splurged and went for the Deluxe room, right on the pool side and very nice inside. The room is quite large, 5 meters to the restaurant, has a soft bed, a shower and tub, cold AC, mini bar and satellite TV with LOTS of channels. There is VERY limited parking available, but if you are not driving there is No Problem!! The pool is large and very inviting with many sun beds available!! The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with hot and cold foods, cereals, fresh fruit and juices and eggs to order~ well worth the small extra amount for that to be included. The 5 minute walk to the beach thru the Jayakarta Resort is quick and easy, and the beach is broad, flat and delightful! Sun beds with umbrellas are available and low priced for a day of sun and surf! Shopping around The Baleka is real fun, and there are many places to eat within 200 meters. We are already scheduled to return in July for 5 nights this time and are looking forward to that visit......

Beautiful Oasis hidden away”
i stayed here to save some money before checking in to the nearby Ramada Camakila the next day, but wished i would have booked this hotel for the whole stay instead. The Ramada was bigger, fancier (and more expensive), but it could have been a hotel anywhere in the world. At the Baleka Resort, you know you are in Bali! The rooms were big and clean. The staff was very friendly. The clientele was young and fun, but it was also quiet at night. Great value. i would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Resort and Fantastic Staff”
Perfect stay. Enjoyed everything about the Baleka, the staff were the most pleasant and helpful we have ever come across and any problems were fixed as quickly as possible and in most cases (talking with other guests) immediately. The pool and gardens were a great selling point and the pool bar a great place to meet other guests and get acquainted. Rooms nice size, bed comfortable and large, cleaning excellent with plenty of tea/coffee etc and the mini bar was equitable to street bar prices ( a first for us ) not overpriced like normal as was the restaurant and bar prices so no need to go out to get away from extortionate costs, The restaurant food was good and nice portions. The other thing about the Baleka is that it is very close to the beach, shops and restaurants and right in the middle of the long beach from Kuta to Seminyak so ideal for getting around. The only problem, which of course the hotel could not do anything about, is that the beach is fantastic for surfers but not for swimmers as there is always surf whatever the weather, but on the plus side it is lovely and sandy and ideal for a walk to either Kuta or Seminyak.

Top Spot”
This was our first time in Legian, and although we missed the hustle and bustle of Kuta, the Baleka itself was lovely. We had a lagoon access room which was new and spotlessly clean. The lagoon pool is just beautiful, and a great place to laze around and chat with other guests. There’s also another pool with a pool bar, so if one of them gets too crowded and noisy you can go to the other one for some peace and quiet. We checked out several of the hotels close by, but none of them were as nice as the Baleka. It’s only a small hotel which makes it easy to meet other people, and everyone was really friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Holiday away from Melbourne's Winter”
This was our first time visiting Bali. We booked here due to the lower price tag and it had everything we'd need (including a buffet breakfast). We didn't want to stay in Kuta, so the location in Legian was great. Baleka Resort is a short distance to the beach, easy walking distance to great bars and restaurants, and shopping (via the front entrance on JL Padma Utara or back of resort on JL Werkudara). The buffet breakfast was somewhat smaller in range than we've previously had, but certainly adequate (tea/coffee, juices, 4 or 5 hot food dishes, eggs cooked to order, cereal, toast, pastries). There were a few minor things I observed in our room with regard to lack of housekeeping but nothing serious. The staff were always very accommodating and very friendly, and if we were to return to Legian, would consider returning to Baleka.

Good location”
this was our second stay at the baleka during our bali trip. we decided to spend our last night there because we were happy with the accommodation during out first stay. the deluxe room was only $49 on agoda and it is value for money. there was construction happening but it didn't concern us. it finished at about 6pm each night and started at about 8am. we were up and about by then so it was all good. unfortunately we had some electricity issues this time but the staff fixed that quickly. we would reccommend this hotel for people looking for good value accommodaton in legian. it is a 10 mins walk to the beach but it is a nice easy walk.

Always a Favourite”
We stayed here last year. I reserved the same exact room, Classic room w/breakfast. We like the easy access out of the hotel to Legian beach, about an 8-10 min walk. Breakfast buffet style and very good, very plentyful, eggs to order, fresh baked pastries and muffins, cold cereals w/fresh milk, fresh juices, great food. We always rent a motorbike for getting around Bali, just ask the front desk staff for a rental. Usually a new 2014/2015 Honda Beat or Vario matic. Prices is like 250,000 Rp for three days, very reasonable. Room was large, comfy bed on a natural pine frame with natural pine cabinetry throughout the room. Wifi is good, a little spotty on the signal now and then but good. Swimming pool is fun, not too deep, but a nice place to cool off later before the sun goes down. They do rope off the pool around 8 or 9 pm, dont remember what exact time, but they shut down the pool at night. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a tour desk in the lobby and offer tours and will help you out getting around Bali by showing you where to go on the map. We will stay and recommend to anyone wanting a nice place to stay near Legian beach.

Great Location and Good value with beautiful sunny pools.”
Spent 13 days at Baleka last month and overall for the price, would definitely recommend. I was in a classic room which had every amenities working - the hot water was non stop and air-con was icy cold. The only issue I had with the room was that the bed could’ve been softer or comfier and overall the room was dark so more lighting. Staff were beautiful and so helpful and friendly. Location was really handy , especially with an entrance via restaurant at Jalan Padma Utara and reception enters via Jalan Werkudara. Breakfast was different daily and always plenty to choose from including a daily egg station with bacon. The cappuccino cost $3 extra but was really good and cheaper than other local options. Swam at both pools and they were both in sun for most of the day. For a 3 star hotel it certainly ticked all the right boxes. The lagoon pool is really beautiful and the gardens were gorgeous and well maintained. Thanks Baleka- we’ll definitely be back.

Great Location, Under Construction”
Baleka is in a great spot in Legian. Close to shops, markets, beach, Double 6, Padma area & Legian Street shopping. Easy walk through Jayakata to the beach & beach dining/drinking! The only down side to the Baleka at the moment is the construction in the hotel grounds which is not due for completion until next year so we probably wouldn't stay here again until construction is complete. However, the rooms beside the pool were not too bad noise wise but all other rooms are very noisy. We had a room beside the pool which was nice, modern, cold, clean and serviced daily. Plenty of space in the rooms too. The buffet breakfast as pretty average, some days having to wait around for food, drinks or glasses etc to be restocked. Having young kids wanting food then and there, this was a bit annoying. Overall, for the price, I'd definitely stay here again but not until the construction is finished. I think it will be a great little gem once it's all complete.

Everything for one LOW price”
We stayed for 2 nights on 11-13 Dec, 2015. We could not have asked for a better stay anywhere. We had a Classic Room with breakfast and all was marvelous! Easy walk to nearby pubs, warungs and restaurants. Excellent Legian Beach was a short 5 minute stroll thru Jayakarta Resort. Food and service at Baleka was great and the breakfast buffet was outstanding; with meats, juices, beans, potatoes, toast and eggs to order! Shopping around the Baleka is wonderful, with the prices negotiable and low~~~ We plan to return next July for 4 nights..... Thanks for a great experience!!

Excellent Staff, Great Location”
As always, the Baleka staff were wonderful & couldnt do enough for you. Rooms are clean & spacious & the daily cleaning staff do a great job. The pool & pool bar are great & the Bamboo spa staff do a great job. You can always rely on a good meal, an ice cold Bintang or cocktail, & some good conversation from the Gula Gula staff, Pandi & Secuby have to get a special mention. Baleka is also in a great location for shopping/ eating/ drinking/ sight seeing & anything else you wish to do in Bali. We will be back :)

Keeps getting better!”
The Baleka has evolved over our stays during the past 10 years. From a basic tourist place to a Resort with all of the comforts and conveniences of home; Satellite TV, large shower and tub, mini bar, and full window wall!! The bed is VERY comfortable and the grounds were immaculate. The stroll to the beach takes about 5 minutes, with restaurants, shops and sights along the path. Food in the Gula Gula Restaurant (Sugar Sugar) is quite good, served fresh, hot and fast. The breakfast buffet is very good. The other restaurants in the area rage from local warungs (small family style restaurants)to sports bars and more fancy places. They have a great variety of food types and at good prices. As we live on Bali now, we will be staying there again, in the very near future.

Home Sweet Home in Legian”
I have stayed at Baleka many times and I keep coming back because after experimenting with stays in similarly priced and located hotels Baleka is a clear winner. I now consider Baleka my Home Sweet Home in Legian. I feel part of the Baleka family. Staff are long term employees and are always very welcoming and accommodating. Room Service is fast and available 24 hours. Housekeeping is very efficient. Furnishings, linen and towels are of an excellent standard. Bathrooms are very clean and modern. Gula Gula Restaurant is very good with a nice menu. The food has always been great. Three different standards of rooms to choose from. All are great depending on your budget. I prefer the deluxe rooms as they are very large and have self contained kitchenette and extra living area. I prefer the older deluxe rooms. The complex has been undergoing renovation for some time now. At times the building noise can be a little annoying at the pool but renovations should be complete soon and many more brand new, sparkling rooms will be available. I will continue to return to this wonderfullly peaceful, relaxing and welcoming hotel.
