Newly Renovated Hotel is Comfortable and Convenien”
This was our third stay at the Balios Resort. We like it because it is centrally located and convenient to shopping, dining and Khao Yai National Park. The hotel and rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Everything works. The free WiFi is OK. The only downside to this hotel is that the buffet breakfast is only so-so. Adequate, but not great.

Clean hotel with perfect location”
I stayed one night at this hotel. The room was clean and nice. The location is very closed to Palio Khao Yai which is only 400 meters away and it is walkable of course. I did not expect much about breakfast since there are some reviews complaint about variety of the food but it was better than my expectation. There were enough choices to choose. I could enjoy the breakfast as well. If you are looking for a place that is close to Palio Khao Yai, the attraction, this place is good and worth for your money.

Very good location ”
Researched on Khao Yai for it's good accommodation places without breaking the bank. This 4 star hotel fits the bill. The resort is huge and it's being well kept. The rooms are big and comfortable to stay in. All the appliances and electrical works in the room. Cons: At random time the hot water doesn't work (esp at night and morning). The wifi signal is rather weak in the room, keeps on disconnecting. The TV channels are mostly dubbed in Thai, so in room entertainments were limited. Pros: Rooms are huge with certain rooms have great views. Rooms services are prompt and reliable. A good spread for breakfast (little choices for halal food though). Great location of the resort, near to many of places of interest. Resort is located just beside Palio Village! Really enjoyed the stay there and would come again. Will definitely recommend to stay in this resort.

Quiet and clean, next to shopping mall”
Superb location. Few minutes drive from Khao Yai National Park entrance. Room is spacious, clean and resort is just next to Palio (which has restaurants and shops).

New Year stay at Balios”
Stayed at the Balios first week of the new year, large hotel, few guests. Hotel consists of 5 blocks each block 3 floors. Good location only 8KM from entrance to Khaoyai National Park. However, this hotel does not have any lifts, although only 3 floors why any hotel with guests arriving with bags, cases etc does not have lifts. I'm 65 years old with bad legs and they put me on the 3rd floor, even though the hotel, was 80% empty. Also, the food both for breakfast and in the dining room was not to good. I would not stay at the Balios again, for the 2 reasons mentioned, no lifts, food, and thirdly, there are many hotels in this area of equal standard and cheaper.

Conveniently located hotel in Khao Yai”
We stayed at Balios in February 2020. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The hotel is conveniently located, especially for visitors wishing to stay close to the national park. The only complaints I have is firstly the lights in the garden are on all night, they are very bright and therefore even with the curtains closed, the light shines into the rooms. My second complaint is that there was a team building going on outside the conference rooms so it was very noisy for the people staying in the rooms above the conference rooms. I would suggest that conference attendees are allocated the rooms above the conference rooms.

A lovely resort, but there is room for improvement.”
I had no serious complaints about the resort. It is clean and beautiful, the staff is friendly and speaks a good amount of English. It is easy to get to by song taew (if you did not drive like we did.) and on the road to Khao Yai National Park. And it is right next to Palios, with lots of shops and restaurants. We recommend The Witches Brew, which is in the shopping center just past Palios. BUT, if you come without a car and want to get anywhere, you must either wait on the street for a passing song taew or pay expensive taxi fees from cars the hotel will get for you. We paid 300 baht for a five minute trip to The Chocolate Factory. The hotel doesn't have any cars or shuttles, not even to the National Park. Also, the buffet was okay, basically the same you'd find at any hotel in Thailand, but there were very little non-meat options (even the hash brown potatoes had ham in them), and the fruit salad and veggies in the salad bar were swarming with fruit flies. Simple covers on these dishes would solve this. The rooms are nice and clean, but the lighting in terrible. The rooms are very dark and the light in the bathroom is way too dim to see adequately to put on your make up. There is no fan in the bathroom, either. And, this is very minute, but if you have two people staying in a room, why would you put one towel in the bathroom and the other in the room? I discovered this when I got out of the shower and discovered there was no clean towel for me and my friend had to grab one from the rack in the bedroom. None of these things are so negative that I would not recommend this place to my friends. In fact, I would probably stay here again if I were in the area as it is very nicely located next to lots of shops and restaurants.

Good Location. Comfortable!”
Well presented, close to all parts of Khao Yai. There are no lifts, and the resort is spread over a lot of ground. It can be a distance to walk to breakfast, so bear this in mind when booking. Breakfast is quite good, with enough choices to keep your appetite happy. All in all, a good comfortable stay!

Great location”
The hotel itself is a little old but given the proximity of Palio Khao Yai is just next door, and there’s convenient stores and restaurants nearby, it is still a great stay. The hotel’s breakfast buffet was pretty extensive and you’ll be spoilt for choices.

Perfect, they have all we need.”
We were in Khao many times and we compare the price and facilities that we need. Balios is the right one that we picked. We were very well sleep. the hotel is close to Palio. we walked just a few minutes from our room.

Perfect location and charming decor”
Very comfortable room, elegantly decorated, perfect location in Khao Yai area but bath towels are not very white which strongly degrade the hotel's luxurious image.

Khao Yai trip”
Stay over night as a group friends visiting Khao Yai Normally you travel to Khao Yai, you need a car or rented a full time van because I don't see any taxi or any public transport around. This resort is a good location to stay when travelling to Khao Yai mountain. The swimming is quite OK. Other facilities are so-so. When we went out for dinner that night, there was a heavy down pour, when we got back, the car park was like flooded up to ankle level, and the ground floor corridor too. The staffs were doing there best though, they shelter me with umbrella from car park to my room, and they are sweeping away the water at the corridor. The room was not affected. There are connect rooms which was very convenient for us to get together for a night gathering chat. The breakfast was good. Overall it is good but there are plenty of resort around Khao Yai, there should be better one wif you have a little more money to spend

Balios Resort”
The hotel is abit old. Overall it is walking distance to Palio Khao Yai. the hotel breakfast spread is good but due to the insufficient staff you might need to wait a while for them to top up the food. Supermarket and Convenience Store (7 Eleven) is still located at Palio Khao Yai which makes it convenient to buy any drinks and snacks..

Need to refurbish..”
I check in for 1 night stay .from the reveiw and picture show . The price u pay I would said they will many options in Khao Yai u can chose from . Stuff is friendly and Thai hospitality no question ask ! Everything u ask extra towels or pillow need to paid ! Swing pool is small , room and all furniture need to refurbish. Breakfast is good ! Khoa Yai is the place u need to come with own transportation. No taxis or grab service .. need to hire private car arrange by the hotel which is their off duty full time stuff .. but Good derive not cheap especially all interesting. Place is scattered all over ..u are looking at 1500-3000 bath depends on distance ! So since no transportation then the only way is eat in Hotel. as we stay in Balios so next door is Palio plaza which we can cross over ..

Decent Room, Great location in the mountain”
The room was decent, albeit quite ordinary. The location is very good, in the middle of Khao Yai town and a 10 mins's drive to the national park's entrance. Price was a bit expensive though

Nice place, nice staff, with room for improvement”
Balios is a very ok place. There are highlights, such as the beautiful, quiet park in the back, the swimming pool (which would need some renovation, and definitely some deckchairs, but is overall ok) and the vicinity to Palio (an Italian-themed village which, although obviously fake, offers some great photo-ops and some nice food, and is literally next door, a mere 1-min walk away), the rooms are big and pleasant. However, I'd expect more cleanliness, and they should definitely change the hard pillows, which didn't exactly help my sleeping. Breakfast is ok/passable, but again, I expected a bit more. I liked the ambience, though. Other than that, it's a very nice place, great for couples and families with children, close enough to the National Park's entrance. The hotel is relatively cheap, yet still slightly pricey for Thai standards. I'd visit the hotel again, but I hope next time the room can be cleaner and fitted with new, softer pillows.

Excellent”
I came to Balios last year and returned with my child and boyfriend....who proposed. A romantic and friendly place to stay. I have only two wishes. One was the need for softer beds, as they were as hard as the stone floors, and the other would be activities for children apart from swimming in the beautiful pool. I would like to come again and recommend any couple for a romantic stay
