Good location, clean and comfortable ”

The Ban aothong hotel can be accessed easily by travellers as it is near railway station, taxi stop. Many restaurants are nearby located. Location is good. The rooms were clean. The staff were cooperative and polite. However, Internet service was not efficient. I tried many times to set and connect but could not do it. Another good thing is it has the selling point where some snacks, drinks or coffee can be available any time. Overall I liked it and will recommend to stay in Ban aothong hotel when has a plan to have a look of the Trang city.

Great value right next to rail station”

Located right next to the rail station and a delicious cafe called "Kopi" the Ban Aothong was a lovely choice at a great price. We loved the night market up past the clock tower, and the weekend night market just outside the hotel. Trang is a wonderful little city!!

Great Hotel”

Great hotel! Very convenient to the train station and tour offices on a super quiet street. Booked 2 nights in a double room with window (#203) for 700 baht per night. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Whisper quiet air con. Reception staff always said hello and with a smile. There is a coffee/tea station in the lobby (not free) and an excellent and inexpensive restaurant next door, open for breakfast and lunch. Nearby night market is not open every night, but walk 10 minutes up the main road past the clock tower for great food every night of the week. Tasty curry dishes for 30 baht. My only small complaint about the hotel is that there are no safe boxes, not even in reception, and as I was headed for the atm-free islands laden with two weeks worth of cash, I was just a bit nervous about not being able to secure my valuables. Overall though, I was a very satisfied customer. If I return to Trang, I will definitely return to this hotel.

Great Location (Few Blocks next to Train Station)”

The hotel located very close to the Trang train station which consider center of the city. And also have night weekend market in front of train station. Moreover you can walk to many famous restaurants in town just like sinjew, oldtown cafe, kim kaotomparinya etc. And can walk to take photo with street art and church in the area.

Exceptional”

The room are very big. classic style furniture. walking distance to trang railway station and trang market. A lot of tuk2 and travel agencies around the hotel area

Relaxed stay in cosy Hotel”

Stayed for one night to discover Trang. Hotel is right next to the main station (but very quiet) and therefore easy to reach and the best place to start a new journey. Nice staff and good cake as well as anything else you need.

The reception desk girl is nice and helpful ”

Basic, friendly and cheap option”

Ideal for 1 or 2 nights in Trang. a few steps from the train market. nice restaurant/bar downstairs with music and football on TV. Rooms are a bit old but everything works and is clean enough. Good value for money

Good Value”

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel, this time just 1 night in a “double room with window”. It's in an excellent location, just steps from the railway station and the weekend night market. There is a larger night market just past the clock tower that operates every evening. The room itself was small but clean and functional. The bed was ok, classic hard Thai bed. The AC blew right onto the bed though, which was not ideal. There were only 2 free power points, but I did get my electronics charged by morning. The TV was the old style, not even flat screen, but there was a DVD player attached. I didn't bother trying to see if there were English channels, this part of Thailand doesn't get enough western tourists to warrant full spectrum satellite TV. Bathroom was small but did have a separate shower area, which is a plus. There was a fridge but no kettle. No safe box. All staff I encountered were friendly. The reason I gave a rating of 4 stars was because of the cheap price.

Good location for a stopover”

Rooms were alright - not the freshest smell but not too bad (no window room). Totally ok for one night. The location is perfect if you want to travel further to the Trang islands (many travel agencies nearby) or via train. The train station and a big night market is just one minute away. WiFi was working good all the time.

Convenient to train”

Hotel was a couple of buildings from train station. Room was small but ok for a night or two. Walking distance to night market. Lots of agencies close by. Not much English spoken in Trang area.

Rooms are good and spacious. They dont have an elevator. Next to trainstation, daily night market with food and clothes, supermarket and other shops nearby. Transport to Trang islands/airport possible.

Next to train station and night market good wine bar about 15-20 mins from airport trang 1 hour with mini-van ro hat yao pier to go to the andaman islands.

Over expectation ”

We stayed 2 nights in Ban Ao Thong and we have best time here. Helpful staffs, good location, restaurant in first floor is very good.

Nice budget accommodations”

This hotel isn’t fancy but its well maintained. The floor to ceiling windows with the balcony help make the room feel light and spacious. The beds are quite comfortable and the mini fridge is useful! There are a few nice restuarants that are within walking distance and there is also a 7-11 that is close. It was a quiet and peaceful stay. We would stay again!

I love almost everything about hotel. the location is nearly perfect if I dont hv to walk pass jungle n local houses. it's a bit scary at nite time. staff n facility r good. love it! The price showed on agoda before I booked was 350 bath cheaper than when I paid. I dont recommended to book through agoda. It's a rip off!

Great stop off point”

Excellent guest house, good location next to night market and local area has good access to travel agents for booking transfers to islands. Owner takes very good care of hotel rooms, small but very homely, clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Great Stay before the Islands”

Hotel is excellent with Asian decor and art. Lots of wood and tradional artifacts. Excellent aircon , bed comfort, hot water, etc. Near the train station and tour offices to book onward tours of the Islands at good prices. Excellent staff. New to open - a Wine Bar and Bistro will be a great addition

Pros - next to railway station - next to night market - large parking space just right in front hotel - light breakfast provided - friendly staffs - great food at Wine Corner at the entrance of hotel cons - cleanliness need to be improve a little more.
