This is an excellent hotel, with staff who love their job, and treat people like kings, pick you up from the car park in the golf buggy, even though a very short walk., but the hidden gem is the cook as the food was 6 Stars for every meal.. I would recommend the hotel for a quiet break, or as I was doing see the local sights.... one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in

We booked this hotel because it was nice and close to ratchaprapha dam which we were going to the next day for a lake tour. The hotel itself is very nice, very quaint, right on the riverside and in the jungle! My only suggestion would be if you are using it as an inbetween location for your next stop to make it late in the day as there is literally nothing to do around you other then be at the hotel. But it was beautiful and i have no complaints, just wish we came later in the day and spent the day in town.

Amazing location, and amazing view. We've had a lovely time there. Staffs were very friendly. A bit hot during the day and afternoon. They started to provide air-con from 7 pm. But you can soak yourself into the water if you don't mind of getting very tan, and a fan in-room provided. The down side of this place is the transfer. It's very expensive. They don't provide you a long-tail boat with this price, which you have to book extra 4,500 baht and its not always available. So you have to get from a local. The menu very limited, if you don't buy the buffet. Only many choices on the menu, but not in reality .

Beautiful and unique hotel! Floating in a nook close to rocks. I like that they had free use of kayaks. Dinner was fixed 350 baht. The only thing I didn’t like is they didn’t ask what you wanted to eat (we had a vegetarian in the group) and they served us a TON of food. It was pretty good and they were accommodating afterward but we ended up with a bunch of leftover stuff we didn’t really need or want. I also wish they would go to more efforts to reduce waste, especially considering the natural environment that surrounds them (such as no plastic, straws, etc). Lastly, they state they have free boat services but it only runs once a day (11:30 am there, 9am to get off the resort) so it costs another 2000 baht if you miss the morning boat, plus the 9am departure off the resort forces you to check out very early which is unfortunate. Regardless, it was still a great stay and beautiful surroundings. Staff was friendly

We stayed at the resort for couple nights. The cabins are greatly designed very simple with all you need in it. The rooms are extremely clean. The surrounding by the river is simply stunning. It’s a pleasure to just be there. The whole place is very nicely designed with lights at night and well maintained garden. We had a problem with checking in, very limited possibility of communicating with staff, most of the things or simple questions were difficult to resolve. Also hotel informations on Agoda states the check out time at noon but then expects to check out at 10am which is quite ridiculous and has a fine of 500thb if you stay until noon.

We booked a room here 2 hours before showing up - we needed a room before a trip out on Cheow Lan Lake the next day. Our bungalow was not fancy, but it was comfy and clean - good strong AC, hot water in the shower, and a comfy bed. There were a couple of bugs and a gecko, but you're at the edge of the jungle, so this didn't surprise me. Breakfast in the morning was simple but tasty (toast, eggs, and sausage). The staff here really stands out - they are warm, friendly, and very helpful. Despite the last-minute arrangement, someone was there to greet us when we arrived and check us in. They gave us a room upgrade to a bungalow with an indoor bathroom (some have open-air showers) . They also gave us a recommendation for a nearby restaurant that was a ten-minute walk down a country road. And when we needed a taxi to get to the dam, they were able to arrange one for us on 30 minutes notice. Note: there are two dogs here - they'll bark at first, but they're sweet and won't bother you.

Heading to Khao Sok, this was the perfect place to stop over and be ready for the departure from Ratchaprapha Dam pier for a 3 days package in the natural parc. The pier is at 3 km from Bansuanphutarn,. The bungalows are super clean, no air-con but a good fan. And in this area the nights are not so hot. So it works. All the confort you need is there. The Hotel is well indicated but make sure you get offline Maps or other means to drive to Bansuanphutarn because the Hotel is lost in the middle of nowhere. The area is super quiet, you can swim in the river but be cautious as they open doors from the dam and the flow increase rapidly. But it is not a big wave ;-) The resto is a key aspect of this hotel, the cooking is simply amazing. Try the fish !!! We tested almost everything and the food there is one of the best experience we had this time in Thailand. Needless to say that the staff there is ultra kind, and helpful. The owner speaks a good english.

During our stay at Subtawee we had an amazing time. The house is clean and has a nice location nearby the citytown, nightmarket and busstation. The staff was very nice, they invited us for the karaoke night and we had a blast. They don't speak perfect but what do you expect in a supersmall town! Is is the fun thing of staying somewhere as foreigner. The staff was very helpfull and provided us with lot's of food. I can really recommend you this place. Don't expect 5 star hotel but you get a lot for the price you pay.

The resort is expensive, the beds are so hard it would have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor, if only the room had been large enough. No proper bathing facilities and on small toilet facility for at least 20 rooms. Certainly NOT value for money, extremely expensive for what you get. This is a real budget backpacker establishment but with 4 star hotel prices.

The small resort which features only 3 bungalows is located a bit outside of town, which gives it a very private touch. The owner, a great Thai lady, who speaks a decent english takes very good care of her customers. She organises tours, picks you up from the bus station, let's you borrow her motor bike and also organises any transport to your next destination. She prepares all the food freshly for you once you order it. The Thai dishes taste fantastic and also the western food for breakfast is very good. We tried the Tom Kha Gai and some curries and everything was delicious. The bungalows are very spacious and offer fans only. Which was no problem, since the temperatures get a lot cooler at night. During the days the best thing is taking a tour through the park and jungle anyways. The room was very clean and tidy and everything was very well taken care off. The surrounding area features a nice garden with a lot of pretty flowers and all sorts of plants and is very well maintained. There is no WiFi so it's perfect for people who don't want to be disturbed by anything but the sounds of the jungle! :) Great place for a short getaway!

Friendly staff, amazing food. We came from the airport so it was easy to arrange transportation to the pier from there, but it was very difficult to arrange return transportation from the pier I would recommend doing so before getting to the hotel because there was no cell service, wifi or outlets once there. Arrive at the pier by 10am and know whether you want to depart at 9am or 12pm. The staff arrange outings for 1.5 days. We couldn't get hot water to work in our showers. The fish are so cool and the views are incredible.
