Friendly hotel with good location on Cha Am Beach”

The Bannpantai is a recently opened hotel/resort in a good central location on Cha Am beach. Rooms are clean/modern and have good facilities (inc free Wifi). Cha Am is a mainly Thai resort that get's busy at the weekends, but is quiet during the week - if you want Western shopping/eating, head down the coast to Hua Hin, but Cha Am gives an interesting Thai experience at value-for-money prices. I'd recommend a visit the 'fishing harbour' - about 3KM away from the hotel, but has a wide selection of living seafood, at good prices.

Exceptional”

Cha Am has little in the way of nightlife but it’s a great beach resort town. 99%locals who look like they come for a day or two. The beach is very nice. There are sun beds but they are pretty much packed together. We opted for the hotel pool with long walks on the beach. The staff at the hotel were great. Ton was there too take care of us and the hotel and restaurant staff really went out of their way. The room is a good size. We were on the second floor, recommended, and we had a very large private balcony with a chair and Day bed. At night when a bit cooler we relaxed there or at the pool. For us this was an extended rest stop. After two months on the go in Indonesia we needed to recharge our batteries. It was perfect for that. A decent breakfast each morning. Pool. Beach. LOTS of restaurants with a 7/11 next door. It was great. We went to Hua Hin one day and we much prefer the much more tranquil Cha Am and Bann Pantai. If you go to Hua Hin go by taxi both ways.

Great Hotel”

A great small personal Boutique Hotel which is actually on the beach road and accessable to all the small street vendors, bars and many 7 eleven's so you do not have to pay resort prices all the time. The room was very modern with four poster bed and flat screen TV. They even had two of the sport channels which many of the big resorts do not seem to have. The swinning pool is nice and looks very beautiful when lit up at night. The gym facilities are also poor with aprox. 5 pieces of equipment put in a converted meeting room. Of an evening, we walked up and down the beacj road where we had many options (for Cha-Am)to visit a different bar or food stall. Cha-Am is not Pattaya or Hua Hin and makes it a great quiet relaxing break by the sea for a couple. Transport is expensive getting around which is important that you should stay by the beach area if you do not want to hire a bike. cha-am is also a lot cheaper than Hua Hin so far better value for money

An excellent hotel”

We had a very pleasant stay at the Bannpantai Resort, the saltwater pool is excellent and the rooms were really nice and cleaned eveyday. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We tried the hotel restaurant one night and the Thai food was really good. The hotel is central and is close to other restaurants and the few bars that Cha am has. The resort itself is quiet but if you are looking for a relaxing holiday at a lovely hotel the the Bannpantai Resort is an excellent place to stay. The next time we visit Cha am we will definitely book this hotel again.

I've stayed at so many hotels in my life, yet when you compare value for money, location, staff professionalism, cleanliness of rooms, design and facilities - there is no match for Bannpantai. Book with absolute confidence. You will not regret your stay here. Very newly renovated hotel and easily the best one in the whole area. Cha Am is a beautiful place and good if you want to get away from busy Hua Hin. Thank you to the lovely staff at Bannpantai.

Lovely hotel, great rooms, nice pool”

we book a last minute getaway from vietnam to this resort over chinese new year, we got a really good deal and we were not disappointed. the hotel is lovely, with a lovely swimming pool, although the pool was freezing cold, nice big rooms, clean, fresh linen every day. the food in the restaurant is good and drinks are reasonable, service is not great. the hotel is a mere 20 steps to the beach at cha am, which when we were there was very busy due to national holidays. if we return to hua hin we will stay here again.

Cha-am”

Nice 5 starr hotel. Its close to the beach and all the action. Problem is that Cha-am is a little quiet compared to Hua-Hin, however, this is where we were looking for so therefore this resort was perfect. The staff was very friendly and willing to help us. The rooms were very clean and it looked good. The bathroom, however, was a little standard. The rooms also come with a nice balcony where you can relax. THe swimmingpool is really nice and big. The restaurant is not the coziest place, but there are nice restaurants in the neighborhood.

Cha-am”

Bann Pantai Resort”

We stayed one night at the Bannpantai Resort in Cha-am before moving down to Hua-Hin for a few nights. The hotel seemed to have been recently refurbished and the rooms and grounds were spotless. The location is virtually on the beach, but it still has its own well-maintained pool. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent, providing both Asian and European choices. Cha-am itself is very quiet, even though this was high-season.

Comfort resort, very close to the busy road & beac”

We stayed in deluxe room: spacious and clean. Complimentary water, coffee, tea everyday. Staffs are very helpful, friendly. We enjoyed relaxing by the free-formed-pool towards the beach which is neither too big nor too small. Resort restaurant offers nice food at reasonable price (with life band at night). Buffet breakfast is pretty good (Asian and Western varieties). Restaurant faces the road and beach with interesting scene while dining. Commotion on the beach and road however doesn't disturb relaxing atmosphere in the resort. We've been to Cha-Am town-beach 5 times, this is the best resort to chill-out. There are plenty of shops and local food available just outside hotel on the road. The best ones are at the fishing pier around 3,5 km northwards Cha-Am. Seafood there is fresh out of the sea and cheap. We really enjoyed meal, sea breeze and watching fishermen and marine lives.

A lovely seaide resort in a quiet place”

Compared with the resorts in Hua Hin with same level of comfort and service, Baan Panthai in Cha-am offers much better value. Cha-am is a much quieter place and so Baan Panthai is ideal for us who love to stay in places with smaller crowds. Baan Panthai also has a big pool great for swimming and so going to the beach (just across the road) for a splash is really not necessary.

We stayed at Bannpantai Resort in Cha-Am for one week and did not want to leave. The rooms are great and the service top rate and the resort is beautiful with great access to the Cha-Am beach. The weather was nice and sunny and it was hard to leave. Hope to return soon.

Such a nice hotel , just fantastic in all aspects”

This place is a gem, a treat for everyone, the food including breakfast is incredible, you don't have to look for other places in Cha-Am for dining, make sure you have a car or a motorbike during the stay , Cha am is kand of a small town and there is not mucht to do , but it is close to Hua-Hin ( Taxi roundtrip Bath)I will recomend this place especially to families, it has a great pool and a very pretty garden an the sevice is excellent

Baan Pantai Resort”

My flight arrived at BKK at 1am. I had arranged for a car to drive me to Cha Am he was waiting as arranged. Arrived at resort about 4am ther was no room for me, I guess a mix up in dates. I was shown to the Gym and a very very tiny seat(I am a big lady) but I managed to fit on ther for a sleep of sorts. I thought Breakfast would be a good way to fill in time. I was asked for 250baht for this which I thought was a bit stiff seing I was booked in. However the Head man of the restaurant from that day forward could not have been more obliging he used is Thai telepathy well, I did not ever have to ask for a thing he just brought it to me. The room was excellent, the bed very comfortable and a proper king size not two joined to gether. The restaurant available all day and the food was good the Thai food good and very well priced. The hwole resort very well maintained.

Gem in the centre of Cha Am”

We liked it a lot and after comparing with other hotels in Hua Hin and around Cha Am we thought it was the best value for money. So we stayed another 2 nights. The downstairs rooms are better than the upstairs ones in the main buildings. It's right on the beachfront so just over the road to the sand and waves and horses which kids can ride on.

Stay at Bannpantai”

We chose this hotel because of the good reviews it receives, we were not disappointed. However, just a couple of comments. The bed was not particularly comfortable, 2 single beds pushed together to make a double, but with still only single quilts, a bit strange. The shower head to low, if you a tall person like me, you have to bend over to take a shower. We had a couple of maintenance problems that were sorted within 10 minutes. The hotel is straight across the road from the beach which has plenty of chairs and umbrellas, except every Wednesday when there is none. Not much to do in Cha Am other than sit on the beach or around the pool during the day, eat and drink during the evening. As with most hotels food and drink more expensive in the hotel, plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Security guard on duty at the car park during the night, which was good. Room prices probably a little bit over priced but overall we enjoyed our few days stay.

Lovely hotel right on the beach”

Room very very nice- very spacious, clean and lovely balcony. good big tv, comfy beds and wardrobe space. resort right on the beachfront and lovely pool (salt water), restaurant cheap. Very friendly service, nice sunbeds and beautiful gardens. Very well equipped gym and free wifi and free computer with internet. Only bad point about the stay was cha am itself (not the hotels fault!!) wouldn't really recommend- beach pretty ugly with grey water and ugly sunbeds, a little too nontouristy- no one speaks english, really not very much to do- no nightlife etcc and pretty ugly in general and not very cheap.

Excellent hotel with superb service and facilities”

It was a lovely resort in a quiet district. It is literally a stone throw away from the beach. The room and bath was kept in good condition and my family enjoyed the stay here the most. We were able to relax by the pool while enjoying beach view and breeze. There were excellent facilities like the gym facilities which included table tennis. They even provided a free shuttle to the main road to board the minivan which brings you to Bangkok. We were impressed by the breakfast and good service. We would come back again! It also boasts a great location (a couple of metres away from the main road into Cha Am beachfront)

Do not expect 'Good Service" from Hotel Manager!!”

Hotel asked us to change rooms 2 days into a 3 day stay, because the next guest checking in wanted our room for 2 weeks! I spoke with the hotel manager who was so apathetic and lacked any guest courtesy. He offered me to move to a lesser noisier room (#207) - so after a stale mate I realized my contract was with Agoda and not the hotel. Agoda although slow to come to the party, finally did accept to pay the difference to a deluxe room - to which I am very appreciative of, Agoda - thank you :) All other staff were fantastic, breakfast and dinner food quality was excellent and dinner the same price as all other street side restaurants around (for what is the best hotel in Cha-am) Be aware of downstairs rooms 101 - 106 there is a hotel laundry that starts at 5:00am... and you will hear the machines and staff chattering away! Personally our original room (209) was great but the deluxe we were moved to was not so great!!

We loved this hotel!”

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bannpantai Resort. It has a lovely garden and pool area. The staff were helpful and friendly, and always available. The room was great - the bed especially was the best we've had for awhile! We really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was nicely prepared - and at a competitive cost. It is right across the road from the beach, but seems very private. It is good walking distance from both ends of the beach, so you can get to where you want to go easily. We found a minibus to Hua Hin just around the corner - if you want to roam. We were more content to relax and enjoy the sun, surf, and sand.
