The 5 star standard in a city of pretenders”
This is the second time I have stayed at Banyan Tree Bangkok and they did not disappoint. I booked the Executive Lounge Suite and everything was as advertised. Check in/out from lounge, staff spoke English very well, design and decor is amazing, finishing in the room is true 5 star hotel standard etc etc etc. ROOM: Bed was the most comfortable that I can remember in any hotel. A bath in the huge tub with the complimentary bath salts and oils plus such an amazing bed led to a great rest after a long flight. FOOD: The buffet at Banyan Tree Bangkok is, in my opinion, the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel anywhere in the world. The food and beverage offerings are extensive, everything is fresh, and the service is great. The best bar in Bangkok is on the roof top of the hotel so, if you get a room that has access to the Executive Lounge, have some complimentary cocktails at the Lounge then go upstairs to enjoy the view. It's a stunning outlook on a big city. TIPS: make time for the complimentary cocktails if they are provided with your room choice, they're well worth it. If it is in your budget order the hotel limousine to pick you up from the airport, it's a nice choice. It is extra but a pleasant addition after a long flight (especially if you are trying to impress someone!)

Luxurious and a good respite from the Bangkok buzz”
We stayed in one bedroom suite and had access to the club lounge. The canapes and free flow drinks were adequate and we spent some time relaxing at the lounge, overlooking the Bangkok's city. The breakfast was served in the same area, and the selection was almost similar to Romsai, although I did notice better coffee was served at the club lounge. And we get eggs done different ways too. The rooms were well appointed, and all the trimmings were of consistent good quality. The daily gifts and incense/aroma oil were a nice touch. We went to Moon Bar and although the view was spectacular, the place was just way too crowded and too overpriced. But do go up for a look nonetheless - you'll enjoy it. Our only bugbear with Banyan Tree Bangkok was the inconsistent service. Some staff at the concierge were not well trained to handle guest queries, while one club lounge waiter provided service totally not befitting of the Banyan Tree establishment at all. That being said, such experiences are just isoloated incidences that our overall good experience more than made up for. So yes, I would stay in Banyan Tree Bangkok again in future.

Wife was extremely pleased”
Had dinner with my girlfriend (who is now my wife) at Vertigo a few years back and she was completely taken away by the breathtaking view. Since then, she has always mentioned she would love to stay there. Fast forward a few years, booked Banyan Tree as a surprise for my wife and upgraded it to the Serenity Suite for a fee, and no regrets at all. Lounge access was allowed throughout the day, and food choices were acceptable. Bangkok being Bangkok, people would normally love to stay out and shop all day if possible; but even as a young couple, we found ourselves spending more time than usual in the hotel due to the extreme comfort of our room. Only drawback is that my wife mentioned she would only want to stay here whenever she returns to Bangkok! Pricey as it may be, but I would say it's well worth the price. We have been travelling to Thailand for many years and have tried all the popular tourist destinations. this trip was a weekend getaway for two couples and our first time to stay at the Banyan Tree. Having children (then) it was not an affordable option, but now it's just we can manage it easily. The hotel, staff, rooms and service did not disappoint in any way. It's not a young hotel at all, but has been well looked after and kept fresh. Serenity Club rooms and the club itself are certainly the way to experience Banyan Tree. Very friendly and attentive staff, with that famous Thai smile and courtesy in abundance. Breakfast in the club lounge was excellent, and we were not tempted to check the main restaurant - as often the club offering at some hotels is a fraction of the main event. Local beer and soft drinks, te, coffee etc. are available all day, which we tested by asking for a beer after breakfast at 1020LT :-) Afternoon tea was a little under-par, but that is put down to what I can only imagine were a greedy bunch of guests who swooped down and cleared things as they were brought out. We asked a hostess if they would provide "sandwiches for four", and sure enough that's what we got. A fresh batch of lovely sandwiches prepared for us and not just taken from a huge plate. Service! The rooms are great with a very comfortable bed and magnificent views of the river from the 56th floor. Daily changing incense sticks and aromatic oil in the burner, along with plenty of salts for the bath tub... which was deep, long and quickly replenished with good water flow. Quality can be determined by the dirty laundry bag, which are often thin plastic but at Banyan Tree they are thick cotton. Say no more. Unfortunately my wife twisted her ankle badly on the last night, and the hotel offerd a wheelchair to use. The next morning we asked in the club lounge if they had a bandage we could have to wrap the ankle. Instead the house nurse came and made an assessment, then gave us a

Great hotel, reasonably priced in BKK”
I really enjoyed the Banyan Tree Bangkok. I had not stayed here before but had previous experience at the Banyan Tree Phuket. Given the dramatic difference in prices I was dubious on what this was going to be like. I booked a premier king room city view... and well I had my expectations exceeded. There was plenty of space here, I always like a room with separate living and sleeping spaces. While not huge it was just right for my partner and I given we were not in the hotel all the time. It's location is very handy to Silom Road (easy walking distance) and plenty of street eats around this area. The BTS and MTR are also not far from the hotel and if you want immediate air conditioned transport... just walk out onto the street as there are plenty of cheap taxis passing. Don't get into the ones the hotel arranges or the ones parked street side as they are likely to overcharge foreigners. Highly recommend this hotel!

Love Banyan Tree Service ”
We love Banyan Tree, the service is great, all staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Very good in name recognition! The location in the city centre is great and the concierge provides excellent service! Not only by answering questions but offering suggestions to improve experience and comfort, while giving tips on possible scams. The area around the concierge and belldesk gets a bit crowded every now and then with guest waiting for taxis tho. We got a room on their top floor providing a wonderful view of Bangkok! During check in we were not shown to our room or received directions and ended up taking the wrong elevator. Big disappointment was the bedding in the room, despite request for king bed (which was even confirmed upon check in) the bed actually consisted of two twin beds, put together and made up as king bed, leaving a gap in the middle. When we addressed this at the front desk the friendly gentleman informed us all their kings are like that as it is easier for housekeeping... Also the linens did not feel as one would expect in a hotel of this level. There is a nice selection of F&B outlets available and the view from Vertigo rooftop bar is stunning, unfortunately it is not much of a bar as the music seems to be similar to the ones in elevators. Breakfast has some great touches and the available outdoor seating, under the banyan trees and next to a little waterfall made it just a great start of the day.

Relax & comfortable environment, friendly staff”
Banyan Tree is located within walking distance to both MRT & BTS line. The environment surrounded hotel is relax & not as crowded as those hotels which are near to markets. We were welcomed by friendly staff and complimentary fruits in our room. It is strongly recommended to try a roof-top dining experience. Vertigo & Moon Bar is a "must-do". The restaurant staffs are humorous. Last but not least, our flight was scheduled in the evening of our last day stay. We did our last-minutes shopping after checked out from Banyan Tree in the morning. One touching moment from Banyan Tree was to offer us for taking shower at their swimming pool bathroom. This made us fresh during our trip to airport. We will definitely choose it for our next Bangkok trip.

A hotel I do not want to leave”
My maiden stay at Banyan Tree properties went superbly well. Having stayed at other fine establishments such as Hilton Bangkok, Grand Hyatt Erawan and others, Banyan Tree Bangkok does not fall short on expectations. Location wasn't great, but cabs were aplenty in Bangkok. The rooms were good, with a great bed and filled with aromatherapeutic essence. We had our dinner and drinks at Vertigo, and it was so good, that we immediately reserved dinner the following night at another restaurant, Taihei. Taihei was THE BEST serviced teppanyaki restaurant i have been to. Kudos to Banyan Tree. Expect me back there soon.

Amazing!!!!”
Walking into the Banyan Tree we had no idea what we were in for. When they took us to our suite and opened the door, we all screamed and ran all over the place. It was beautiful!!! The lady who showed us stood there for about 20 minutes while we ran from room to room then finally said, can I show you around now? She got the biggest kick out of us. The room was by far the best room I have ever stayed in. The food was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond what they needed to. The pool was beautiful. We ate at Vertigo then went to Moon Bar. The views were out of this world! It was the best atmosphere and the service was impeccable. We were very sad to leave this hotel. They cleaned out rooms so nicely every day. The bathroom was amazing. Most amazing steam shower and jacuzzi tub. If I'm ever in Bangkok again I will no doubt be staying at the Banyan Tree. And would recommend to anyone I know. The hotel came recommended to us and I'm so glad we listened!

Lovely hotel and service is very good ”
Loved my stay here. Nice, big clean rooms even upgrape me to premier room. We chose Banyan Tree mostly because of the rooftop bar. Needless to say, it matched our expectaions and beyond. For us latins, getting there by the time we are used to having dinner meant the impossible mission of getting a free table. Anyway, waiting in such a place made it a pleasant experience. The hidden pearl: the lower bar, where the tree is, some floors below the rooftop, yet very high and most important, less crowdy. Room are big, with a kind of reception-living room separated from the actual sleeping place. Ours faced the river, 2 floors below the rooftop. In the room, they leave local fruits for you every day and, most important, they provide a brochure with information on them. So you know what you eat, important in places where your culture is so different. Personnel was fantastic, with one or two bell boys maybe too prone to help, at the edge of an anxiety break down. But if you are able to filter the information from their acting, you can get very good pieces of advice (i.e.: get a taxi to a small pier where you can rent a private speed boat, with a captain/tour guide, to go around the city canals). Another good one from Banyan Tree: get the night cruise with the traditional dinner. On the expensive side, maybe, but it's worth it. Breakfast was complete with all kind of dishes from most popular cuisines. Like any other place in Banyan Tree, crowded, but they can accommodate you anyway. Location is something that doesn't fully favor Banyan Tree. All up, a great stay. I will definitely return

USELESS CHECK IN SYSTEM!! BUT GOT APOLOGISE FROM GENERAL MANAGER”
I always stay at Banyan tree Bangkok when I visit Thailand. Usually stay at serenity club because you will get very well treated and worth your penny. But on the last visit which I booked for my GF to stay at serenity club on city view room, high floor. I have emailed and called 3 week in advance to make sure she will get the best view but she got the river view room instead. Even staff told me 3 week ago that we already put special request in our system. Terrible check in system, really disappointed!!!!!!!!!... After I put bad review on TripAdvisor the GM response and apologise which is except able. So if you need special request make sure you have to ask them email those request back to you. This is a great hotel and atmosphere. thanks

A wonderful time at the Banyan Tree over the Christmas holidays. The 1 bed suite was very comfortable, free soft drinks from the mini bar and club benefits included. The service with a smile from the Hotel staff was well received, unfortunately I have noticed standards are slipping in other hotels in Thailand, but the Banyan Tree has maintained their high standards of service. This was also apparent during a birthday dinner for my girl friend at the Vertigo roof top restaurant, which I would highly recommend for a romantic night overlooking the Bangkok skyline. The breakfast selection was good, but only one minor complaint was having to wait 10 minutes for a breakfast table. Still one of the best Hotels I have stayed at in Bangkok.

We arrived on 24th December and were immediately taken care of by a upgrade to the Suite on the Club Floor. The room was absolutely pitch perfect and everything was just the way one could imagine. Banyan Tree has always set standards that becomes a benchmark in the world of Hospitality. I would like to personally recommend this place. The Breakfast on the floor 59 is an absolute blend of Gastronomic delights and a view to refresh yourself naturally admist the chaos in Bangkok. I would like to extend my heartfelt greetings to Miss. Romantic”
We booked a room in the Banyan Tree Club, which gives access to the club lounge, includes free internet, free laundry up to 4 pieces a day, and gifts from the Banyan Shop. We do not have the feeling to be in a standard bussiness hotel at all, this is very nice for romantic stays. The staff is friendly and helpfull. The Vertigo bar and restaurant are worth to be seen, vertigo is really a very good name for it, but do not chose a windy night to go there. The hotel is very well located near the skytrain (10 minutes walk) and the metro station (5 minutes walk). For the airport, it is just nearby a highway exit, so it should not be too long for a taxi to take you to the international airport from here. It is 10 minutes walking from the Suam Lum Night Bazar. Be sure to pick a room which is not just in front of the adjacent building, as it could spoil the nice view you can get from the city of Bangkok from the rooms. We changed the room when we arrived to a suite room with a better view for a small supplement. We loved the sushis for breakfast, this is the first hotel excepting the ones in Japan which I have been in which they propose sushis for breakfast.

If other Hotels want to know how to treat their customers then they should send their staff to the Banyan Tree. From the General Manager taking time to ensure that our stay was enjoyable to the ladies checking our room was what we wanted. As frequent travellers for many years my wife and I would consider The Banyan Tree in Bangkok to be one of the very best that we have had the pleasure of staying in. We will endeavour to use their sister Hotels whenever we can in the future on our travels and only wish that we had discovered The Banyan Tree ethos a long time ago.

Amazing service!!”
This is my second time staying at Banyan Tree Bangkok. Their service is AMAZING!!! You will feel very welcomed at the hotel by every staff. They pay extreme attention to every detail, and they try their best to ensure your stay was the most enjoyable. I had to depart very early on the day of check-out, and that means I will be missing the buffet breakfast, but the staff packed a very nice to-go breakfast for me to enjoy on the way to airport. These small personal touch made me feel that they care a lot about their guest. One thing that got me slightly disappointed is that I had water dripping down the ceiling on the very last night I stayed there. It happens that my brand new suitcase was sitting under the water dripping spot. I was shocked by how much water was collected in the suitcase when I woke up. I had to rush to airport therefore I had no choice but to leave with a wet suitcase. My trip ended with a slight disappointment but I do understand that these things do happen. Despite the incident, I had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel, and I would definitely return again!

it is the only place to begin a completely new outlook on not only bangkok but life! this hotel takes all the complications, possible tourist traps, common mistakes and without missing a beat clears out a simple pleasant taylor made experience. not a single request went without prompt and thorough attention. i never left the property without detailed instructions in writing and then verbally relayed to my driver and or taxi. i felt safer and had more time to enjoy the splendor of bangkok during my 3 days with banyan tree, than my entire two months i spent last year attempting to do it with frugality. this was by far a better investment!!! don't waste your money anywhere else stay here for one week and get the best bangkok offers then venture out to new areas and bargain b n b's with the knowledge you've gained from banyan tree's signature service your stays in thailand where ever they are will be smoother and more enjoyable from then on.

Nice huge rooms with excellent service”
We stayed 2 nights at the premier room in the hotel. Banyan Tree upgraded our second night to one bedroom suite with club benefits, which was really a lovely surprise. I love it that they have huge rooms. Even the premier room comes with a separate living/office area. However we could see that the room was a little run-down and the bathroom looked outdated, for Banyan Tree standard really. The one bedroom suite was fantastic though. It was new and I especially love the big toilet that comes with 2 separate sinks, nice tub overlooking the city and a spacious make-up area. The bath oil/salt/foam and the aroma diffuser available in both rooms were excellent touches. We could really rest and relax after a busy day in Bangkok. The swimming pool was really as what the other travellers have described- small and cramp, quite a disappointment. I would suggest you take a nice soak in your room instead. I must say that the staff in the hotel do serve from their heart. They are professional and yet warm and sincere. They did make my stay an enjoyable one. And they will be the main reason if I were to return.

Amazing hotel and even better food”
Our stay at the Banyan tree Bangkok was fantastic. The room was beautiful, spacious and smelled even better with the incense provided. Dinner at the Teppanyaki restaurant is an absolute must as well as the delicious afternoon tea. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast offered was the best I have had, anything you could ever want. I will definitely be back to the Banyan Tree Bangkok and recommend everyone to stay at this amazing hotel!

Exceptional service and luxarious rooms”
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite on the club floor - the suite was exceptionally large. The main bedroom included a huge king bed, and a massive bathroom with a spa and steam shower. The toiletries provided were high quality, including bath oil, bath salts and bath gel for the bath. The staff service was excellent, very friendly and the breakfast on the club floor had a large variety of food. We went to the bar on the roof but found it full of tourists and very busy and cramped. We preferred the bar a few floors down called Latitude. The banyan tree spa was the best I have ever experienced - so polite, professional and very relaxing. Overall Banyan Tree lived up to and beyond it's reputation as one of the nicest hotels in Bangkok.
