Great stay”

I can recommend this hostel and next time I'm in Budapest I'll stay here again. 30min by foot or 10min by metro to the city center. The staff is nice, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are also nicely furnished. Great hostel.

Good Hostel, has everything you need”

In a few words: Okay - Good Hostel I would stay there again This Hostel has a special flair which is somewhere between awesome and a bit rundown. The Main area has several rooms and two kitchens, multiple bathrooms and showers. It's has everything you need and looks pretty amazing on the first look. If you watch closer you can see that the condition and cleanliness could be better. Many of the people working there are people staying in the hostel. They do their job and are friendly, but they don't put in any extra effort. The second and separate main area/kitchen/bathroom is used by these workers and long-term workers staying in the hostel and not that well taken care off. Nevertheless this is still acceptable, it just has so much potential to be really awesome. Location is near the most famous spa and has a good connection to the city centre (~20 mins) with transportation Bering pretty cheap. Some nice restaurants, bakeries and a supermarket in walking distance.

Near to the center (keleti railway station nearby). Really friendly staff helping you if you need somewhat. Unbeatable price. The building in which the hostel is located is old and really interesting...due to the age of the house there can be technical problems.....we we will come again ❤

Very good”

Very good. I think it was my favourite part of Budapest trip. The sightseeings were nice as well, but drinking wine, talking to locals/other travellers in living room was the best.

Good value, Quiet, Hostel with character ”

The hostel is in an old house with a lot of character, including an entryway to some rooms through a closet! It is in a quiet area near Heroes Square, Szechenyi Baths, metro, and public transport. It wasn't the most convenient location for restaurants and nightlife but you can reach those easily with the metro nearby, and that is the trade-off for having a peaceful night's sleep without noise from the street. The kitchen was not that clean (due to lazy/dirty guests and lack of upkeep from staff), and could have done with clean tea - towels. Staff will do your laundry (wash&dry) for 5 euros and usually in less than 3hrs, which was quite handy. We had a private room which was comfortable enough and had a lockable bedside table. We noticed a LOT of dust underneath the beds. Staff were helpful and friendly, and open the front door pretty quickly for you (24hrs reception, the door is locked and you have to ring the door bell to get let inside). Overall a comfortable stay

Got some nasty bug bites while at the Baroque, mostly on the ankles, legs and arms.Probably fleas, never felt them just had lots of itchy welts. Informed the staff and they had someone steam the beds to kill the pest, but it didnt seem to help, the fleas were probably in the carpet too. Not sure about the other rooms, I was put in the basement, it was a bit damp but cooler. Ive been to a half dozen hostels in Europe on this trip and the Baroque was the most run down and dirty of them all and the only one where I had a problem with biting insects.

With character ”

Loved the quirky interior. Great use of space. Excellent kitchen and the complimentary tea/coffee was appreciated. The bed was comfortable. The only minus is the inadequate soundproofing of the rooms, but for the price we paid, I really can't fault the place.

Great Hostel”

This is my first time staying in hostel. It's quite a walk for me to get to metro (metro to bus station). The place is nice, very near to Hero Square. Very clean

Unique and Beautiful”

This is quite a magical place in a quiet area close to Heroes Square and various museums. For lovers of Narnia, there's a special surprise here which I won't spoil but it really will delight you. Otherwise, the rooms are huge, mostly beds rather than bunks and with several kitchens and dining areas, there's really nothing you could be left wanting. What you experience beyond that is the details ot the decor which make it a real work of art. Don't hesitate to book it!

I have booked a double room with private bathroom on agoda with a discounted price. There are some mistakes made by the system. The hostel staff said I booked another double room without private shower instead. Things is sorted but its quite annoying. agoda should review about it.

For a hostel, it's fine”

I'm a grown man and I have some money so I don't know why I picked a hostel. First impression was good with helpful and knowledgeable staff; second impression was formed by the communal area which looked like a student house after a party - but, of course, that's what it is! My single room opened directly into the reception area so it was very noisy and very hot until about 2 am - but, if you are a kid, why would you be trying to sleep before 2 am? Conclusion: under 25? Go for it. Otherwise, get a hotel.

Cheap way to stay ”

Clean and helpful staff. The hostel has 2 kitchens. Enough bathrooms and restrooms. WiFi is a bit slow but useful

I can recommend this Hostel for a short stay. The advantage is an access to the kitchen, big living room and the location near metro. Except that the rooms are dark and very basic equipped.

Bedbugs...”

I got 10 bedbug bites on my ankles and wrists. I believe hygiene is an issue in this hostel.
