Lovely hosts, home away from home ”
Bastian and his wife make wonderful, caring hosts. At first there was this warm welcome, followed by continuous care, helping hand and absolutely delicious Keralan breakfasts. Rooms are decent and clean. If you wish a more cooler fan room, ask for a room at the back of the opposite building.

Perfect ”
An amazing start to our India travels at Bastian homestay. Comfortable, clean and spacious room. A 3 night reservation soon got extended and we can't thank Gini and her family enough for assisting us with further travel plans around India.

ANT INFESTED WITH MOSQUITOES ”
I wish I could leave a positive review since the staff were nice and it looked like they tried to keep the place clean, but I can't recommend it unless you enjoy waking up with mosquito bites on your body and ants in your bed. Even when I arrived there were dead insects on the sheets. When I let the staff know, she didn't say anything and just went on with her business.

Thanks for your review. As mentioned by yourself, You had stayed with us only for a night. When you acknowledged me about this problem I checked the room and saw a chocolate wrapper on the bed. This was the reason for the ants. And when I asked you whether i should clean the room and change the sheets, You replied that you're here just for a night and you could manage on the other bed as there was two twin beds. All our rooms are covered with mosquito nets on the doors and windows.

This is the first time my wife and I chose a Homestay and were not disappointed. Bastian Homestay is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach and other attractions. The breakfast is homely and adequate ; the rooms, beds, toilets are clean and well maintainted. The hosts Gini and George were very hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Would stay at Bastian again, if I return to Fort Kochi.

Good and helpful staff, nice lobby for having food with all family members. Reasonable rent. Breakfast is good. Transportation is arranged based on the need. Only one con is lunch and dinner is not available in homestay but can be ordered. Nice place to stay with family members along with kids. Location Fort Kochi is a plus. Lot of places to visit which is at walkable distance.

Stayed at Bastian at the beginning and the end of my holiday. It was on both occasions a great stay. The place is simple and clean. We stayed in the AC rooms. The hosts are lovely and provide great advice. Would highly recommend it.

Very helpful staff and simple clean room”
The Homestay is with a friendly family in a quiet area a 5 minute walk from the centre. The room was clean and had a hot shower, free wifi in the room and good protection from mosquitoes. The staff were very helpful before arrival and during my stay, I had quick replies to my emails about airport transfer and even though I arrived four hours before check in they were able to let me straight into a room at no extra charge. I was very happy with my time there and would stay again if in the area.
