Baan Klang Aow Beach Resort

"The staff are very friendly and the room comfortable enough, but I don't really like the design of the resort. There are a number of small swimming pools and I'd rather have one large pool. We were in a bungalow which had, I think, 5 other close bungalows in a semi circle around a small pool. There is no privacy on your balcony or in your room, without closing the curtains. There are also design problems inside the bungalows, for instance the bathroom mirror has been set so low on the wall that to see myself I had to bend over, and I'm not tall! By no means the worst experience, but I'd look elsewhere next time."

"Slightly quirky resort with chalet style accommodation. Friendly staff, the beach is only a short walk away, 7/11 nearby and a selection of places to eat in walking distance."

Boons Bungalow Ban Krut

"You are not going to find better accomodation in Ban Krut (or even all of Thailand). The host Boon is really lovely! She helped us with everything and looked after us like a mother. The bungalows are perfectly located near the beach and a beautiful pool area. They are also extemly clean and have a wonderful garden. We are definititely going to come back to visit you Boon! Thank you very much!"

Bankrut Green View Resort

"I arrived around 9pm after the Bangkok train was delayed by a couple of hours. I had to wait a while to check in as the guy on the front desk called for the one English speaker. I wasn't aware of what we were waiting for so it was a bit disconcerting. The room was clean and comfortable. The first night was noisy until about 11 or 12pm due to karaoke blaring out from a beach cafe. It was a weekend night, though. It was quiet the rest of my stay. The check-in area/restaurant was often occupied by what I later discovered was management, but they were reluctant to move and just shouted for the other staff. On check-out, I was told to pay and couldn't explain - due to language difficulties - that I had already paid when I booked online. Eventually, the man phoned the English speaker who seemed to think that I wanted to pay by credit card! After explaining and her checking, I was able to go. The man gave me a lift back to the station free of charge which I appreciated. "

Keeree Waree Seaside Villa
Baan Grood Beach,Baan Grood Beach - View on map
"The best thing about this property is it's lovely staff. From the reception staff, to the cook, to the groundskeepers, each of them had smiles and warm greetings and went out of their way to be friendly and kind. We arrived at 2am because of outbound traffic in downtown Bangkok---the next morning we were too late for breakfast, as we slept in. The cook offered to open up the kitchen and set everything out just for us so that we could have breakfast. And all done with a smile and genuine kindness. We were traveling with my small dog, so we loved the pet-friendly villa--the outdoor shower and 'garden' type space were great for the pup to be able to just wander outside and be contained. The grounds are beautiful. You will need a car to stay here---which isn't a problem for us, as we live in Thailand and have our own car. The plus side is that this area is very little known to tourists--mostly geared towards Thais, so the beach area (outside of main holidays) is mostly private and clean."
