"This is one of the nicest, centrally located hotels in Koh Chang. The hotel is modern, clean and air conditioned. The beachside restaurant has a view that is out of this world. The staff are cheerful and helpful, each day the chambermaid made our towels into a different shape- one day she even made an elephant!"

"After staying at 2 other hotels on Koh Chang we decided to stay at Awa, as soon as we arrived we were welcomed by all the staff, especially the manager. The hotel lobby is incredible and really you want to stay in there for a while to experience how awesome this hotel is. We were upgraded to a superior room so we could get the best view, thanks again to the manager, he went above and beyond any of his duties and really made our stay at Awa something special! The room was beautiful, and finally we got a good nights sleep in Koh Chang In a very comfortable bed! Every request we made was attended to, promptly. The pool is incredible and you will want to spend most of your time in and around it. I know the Thai people are friendly, but these guys at Awa were really something else, staying here really made our journey to Koh Chang worth the effort and I would recommend Awa to anybody, it's the only hotel I'd recommend!"

"We enjoyed our stay tremendously. We don't really like big flashy hotels, rather simple places in nice locations. If you like to be near great exciting night life Kai Bae is not the best place on Koh Chang for you, it is a great place to relax and chill out. All the staff treat you as one of the family and it is certainly a resort that lives up to Thailand's claim to be "The Land of Smiles". We are looking for an opportunity to visit again. This was my second visit and I was surprised to find building work being carried out but the complted areas indicate that the resort will be beautifully improved when the tasteful work is complete."

"We stayed at few hotels in Koh Chang but this one is THE BEST. Amazing beach, very quite, authentic wooden bungalows and decent hot breakfast. The cons - bungalows have very thin walls so if you're Thai love tourist - it's no deal :), pool is rather small and the staff is not that friendly. But you'll not find better place for the value of money in Koh Chang."

"Cliff Beach is a wonderful resort, it's honestly the best choice for Kai Bae Beach in comparison to others. Kai Bae is only about a mile and a half long and Cliff Beach offers the only accessible sandy beach with no rocks. I was looking into the Awa and White Knot, their beach is terrible, but they offer great views. Our room was great, we had poolside view and ocean view when on the balcony, access to wifi in the room, and breakfast was included and was pretty decent. The resort offers an array of ocean rental activities from boat rides, snorkeling, to kayaking. Cliff Beach does cater to the Russians, they pretty much over took the hotel, were nice and respectful, however word on the street is that Cliff Beach is the only hotel that will accept them. Unfortunately Koh Chang itself really caters to tourist, you won't get a lot of authentic Thai culture, however it is a beautiful place, great parks, waterfalls, and sandy beaches, if you choose the right hotel:) "

"What can I say absolutely fantastic stay ,staff were brilliant and very friendly, manager was a great guy very helpful and friendly arranged everything we needed. The hotel was very nice and clean ,the restaurant had very nice food at reasonable prices.the view from breakfast is wonderful with the hotel situated right on the beach.Made my first stay in koh Chang one to remember thanks Apple beach front resort.😊👍"

"First visited Koh Chang 20 years ago and wish I'd have stayed here then..One of my best stays in our travels to the far corners of Thailand..The staff, facilities and food the tops..As we travel around Thailand you'll find the air conditioning is sometimes in need of service and they had the one in our bungalow cleaned within an hour..We travel with our small dog and he loved it..Our grand nephew had a big time and lots of other small children there for him to play with..Laid in the bed of our bungalow looking at the view wishing we could live there forever..I even asked about monthly rentals...haha"

"Perfect Hotel for couples, Free Wifi in the rooms, great pool and nice almost private beach. Quite surroundings but 3 min to lonely beach with best party places for young people in koh chang. Tuk Tuk cost only 50 bath to get there. The hotel have a very nice decor, its feels warm and calm. Great for kids, great childrenpool. Lot of sunchairs even in high season. "

"Our stay at Serenity Resort Koh Chang was perfect from start to finish. We originally choose the quiet side of Koh Chang Island for our last week of a three month trip overseas for it's relaxing atmosphere and authentic vibe. We could not be happier with our decision! Steve and the rest of his staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, advising us on places to go, making sure we always had everything we needed and ensuring our stay was something to remember. The food at the resort was the best we had in the whole of Thailand - so much so, my fiancee and I ate there every night! The cocktails are incredible too! For those who may think this side of the island is 'too quiet', it isn't. Hire a scooter and explore the many picturesque spots along the way. From waterfalls and mountains to temples, there is something for everyone. We will definitely be back!!"

"- very nice grounds, beautiful gardens, clean and uncrowded beach. - staff very polite and always smiling, although lacking some good english. - food in the bar and restaurant is not pricey, good quality but small choice. - average breakfast. - nice SPA, but never tried it, so can't compare with others. prices start from BHT 800 etc. - hotel is completely silent at night which is very good for sleeping. you can get live music everynight in the neighbouring Tropicana Resort (where you can also have a nice buffet dinner). - good beach and pool, lots of umbrellas and sunbeds, but beware of rocks in the water. overall, one of the best hotels in Koh Chang.
