Spectacular! Can't wait to go back”

Our stay at Beach Republic was short, but very sweet. My husband and I had one additional night on Samui at the end of our holiday and found this resort through Agoda. It looked pretty impressive from the photos so we thought that we would give it a try. Although we showed up at 10am, the staff were happy to help us check in. Actually they asked us if we might like to pay for an upgrade to a penthouse with its own pool. The suite room looked very nice, but we agreed to take a look at the room and liked what we saw. Flashy furniture, a fancy Japanese style loo, full kitchen, and best of all, a private pool on the balcony. So it didn't take us long to decide that the upgrade was a good idea. After getting settled, we ate lunch at the beach club, which is a short walk from the apartment buildings. The club is right on the beach and really is spectacular. Cool architecture and two pools right on the beach. Because it is at the far end of Lamai, it is away from all the crowds that are in places like Chaweng and the centre of Lamai. For some people looking to party hard, this may be a bit of a drawback. But for us, we were quite happy with the mellow atmosphere. We had pizza, which was fantastic and also a Caprise salad and spring rolls. Very satisfied all round. I will say that we felt that the drinks could have been a little stronger. The staff were friendly and attentive - almost too attentive, but I understand that their job is to watch each table closely. The staff were able to help arrange a driver to take us into Mae Nam and back. The ride was in the resort car, which was a new Toyota Fortuner. We really felt taken care of. In the evening we both tried the Asian Spa that they have behind the beach club. We did a couple's treatment, which was excellent. The bed was really comfy and we slept better than we had in a long time. The next day late check out was not a problem (Thank you Fern!). Overall, really a perfect stay. We can't wait to go back!

LOVED IT - (seriously every second)”

We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Pool Villa and absolutely loved our holiday. PROS The STAFF were absolutely wonderful. So polite and friendly. Far exceeded the customer service / hospitality encountered on my last trip to koh samui (I couldn't fault it then!) Felt so incredibly welcome. The LOCATION was perfect for us, which we really only noticed once we were in a car travelling to Chaweng or Lamai Centre. The hotel is situated on the main ring Rd of the island, nowhere near as much foot / vehicle traffic, as the centres. This made walking down to the corner store (family mart) a short and commotion - free experience. Quite a few little eateries also on stretch outside the hotel - cheap and DELICIOUS. Koh samui traffic seems to have increased noticeably since my last visit in 2012, so I was very relieved when whilst about a 10 min drive from the centre of it al, this location made our stay relaxing and stress free. OUR OWN POOL - seriously amazing CONS Nothing?!

Wonderful beach hotel dispite a few excess charges”

our stay at the beach republic was wonderful. there was a lot of construction during our stay but that wasn't too much of a problem because of the friendly atmosphere from the staff. everyone in the pool area was offered free mojitos because of the construction noise on christmas day. we got a free room upgrade from a one bed suite to a two bedroom villa with private pool. i think this was due to our room not being constructed yet. we got lucky! there were a few things we didn't like that we felt were totally unnecessary. one was the high cost of airport transfers from the hotel. the hotel said they charge the same as taxis do to go to and from the airport....which is $500bht. such a short trip should not cost so much! also, my wife paid $1300bht for a 1 hr swedish massage. after the massage, she mentioned she'd like to use the steam room. she was told that it would cost an extra $400bht to use the steam room. really??? we have been to many spa resorts and the use of the steam room & sauna always came with a massage purchase! interestingly, the beach republic even offers a promotion to people not staying at the resort. this promotion costs $1500bht and includes free hotel pickup, a 1 hr massage, 2 course dinner with wine, and full use of the steam room and pool. we were hotel guests and my wife paid $1300bht just for the massage and was denied the use of the steam room unless she forked out another $400bht. does this make sense?? by the way, the $300bht beach oil massages a little way down the beach were just as good...and you can even listen to the waves rolling in!!

Totally loved our stay at Beach Republic!”

We've stayed here for 13 days and loved every single one of it. The hotel is perfectly situated in between Chaweng and Lamai and both towns are easy to reach by public transportation. The pools are situated right at the beach and it is lovely to switch between them. There are plenty of sunbeds and loungers and the staff is doing all they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. All with the famous Thai smile. The rooms are large and ours had a spacious balcony, kitchen and a lovely rainshower. The bed was very comfortable as well. They also have a well equiped fitness room, for those who are interested They serve an outstanding breakfast and the tapas at the pool is even better. Try the sunday brunch, they're famous for it all over the island! If we might suggest: Try the next door Starbay restaurant for a change, they have very good food for reasonable prices All staff from Beach Republic, thank you for making this one of our best holidays. Peaceful Location”

I stayed at beach republic with my friend for 5 days. Our stay here was very relaxing. The rooms are very spacious, modern and clean. Only disappointment was that none of the rooms face the ocean. Koh Samui is a very easy island to get around. We hired a car and driver to take us around, but in hind sight we could of easily hired a car and drove ourself.

We had an amazing time. Nong was amazing at the front desk. She had all the answers for all our questions. Staff were all really helpful and lovely. I recommend asking Christina for places to eat in Koh samui! I'd rate the staff service 5 stars and would definitely come back to stay at the beach republic!

Fab 4 nights with 1 yr old!”

We had a great 4 nights at beach republic, the rooms we're lovely and spacious, the staff we're super friendly and loved out little girl. The pools were fab, with a shaded small kids pool too. Also really enjoyed the dj, we're both into our music and it was very chilled really enjoyed it, wish we could have stayed for Sunday brunch as it looked delicious and the guitar player sounded great. The only let down was the location it was walking distance/shuttle to Lamai but all the same shops and too hot to walk with a buggy! There is a shuttle to chewang so a day out there is a good option to get outfor the day but otherwise the hotel has everything you need :) a kayak to use would have been a bonus ;)

Best hotel exceeding my expectation”

It's our honeymoon and they upgraded our room for us. Our room is very clean all the way and their cleaning efficiency is impressive too, we just left the room for a 15 minutes' walk and the dishes are done when we get back. Their service is flawless and we cannot feel more welcomed during these days. I will surely recommend this hotel with no hesitation. The breakfast, beach pub view, and room services are the best! Every staff is always smiling and my staying experience is even better than those reviews I previously found before out trip there. Thank every beach republic hotel staffs that had made our honeymoon a wonderful memory in our life.

Great beach club & separate residence: different”

this was a very new experience to us. in fact there is the beach club (open to general public) and the residences. so not the typical hotel. our room was very clean, big and with pantry. the beach club is very relaxing, but make sure you get into one of the lounge sofas (for hotel guests). the venue is great, but there are some things to bare in mind when coming over. the are are two small pools, which makes beach republic ideal for families with children (and lots of them), lounge music playing, the beach (beautiful) is at a lagoon with very shallow waters so hardly any swimming. the food really is great; the brunch is a must! we had an excellent time, it truly is a different experience. but good to know what to expect. only thing to improve would be the guest services. we also thought the rooms were a bit overpriced.

little piece of heaven”

my partner, daughter and i stayed at beach republic for 8 nights in a stunning one bedroom penthouse. we have had the hoilday of a lifetime, the staff are all amazing, i cannot stress this enough, no job is too much...they were all so helpful especially with my daughter....(hein, Than, may,apple, tan) you are all so great! the breakfast buffet was packed with variety, even micky mouse pancakes for my little girl! the location for us was perfect also, the room/appartment outstanding....i honestly couldnot find a fault....will definitely be recommending beach republic to everyone, and one day return to stay......

Great villa, pools, beach and staff. Great restaurant right outside of the gate if you want options off the resort. Best if you are planning to mostly stay at the resort.. Koh Samui only has one taxi company... so getting around is pricey. The resort provides a complimentary shuttle though on a limited basis. Very European feel if you like that type of pool party feel. It was toned down in the morning though when we were there with the kids... the live music was awesome! Highly recommended! You can go into town for some exposure... or stay in complete resort mode...

Good care”

Our second time. Other smaller room, but still OK. After first day I become a motorbike accident. The staff was interested and they helped with everything we asked. Also the first day my girlfriend wanted to cook but it did not work. We asked one time and immediately they solved the problems. Compliments. At breakfast we asked for Thai omelette, and it tastes great. Also we tried this time the Spa. The staff was friendly and give us a quality treatment. Each year we visit Koh Samui two times. Next time we not have to look for other hotel. We want to come back again.

Cool Hotel near Lamai”

We stayed at the Beach republic for 2 nights in one of the new rooms. The room itself was fantastic, very big with nice balcony and very new. The service was great, the staff helpful and cheerful and there were a lot of them! The beach club had a party the night we arrived and we were invited free (and they put on free drink and food) The beach there is not great - you cant swim because of the rocks but it is a great view. The beach club itself is a bit older than the rooms and it felt a bit run down. The food was nothing special (especially at those prices) and breakfast whilst ok was the worst we had in Thailand (5 hotels in 3 different areas) There was a good vibe though at this hotel and i heard they put on some big parties but personally i think there are better places to stay - although we got a good deal so it was not expensive. Its just off a main road but still 15 minute drive to Chaweng or 5 minutes to Lamai. We hired a car so it was not an issue and there was a good undercover car park (useful for getting bags in the rain!)

Incredible!”

We were exceptionally pleased with the stay in Beach Republic! The rooms were spotless and spacious. The staff was sincerely friendly and polite! Always smiling and offering help. Those little gestures of appreciation and attention like little cakes in the room every evening, 4 glass bottles of complimentary water every day and etc. makes the deference. The breakfast was very good and the pool area is outstanding. The music atmosphere was pleasant as well. Massage services are 2-3 times more expensive than outside of the hotel, but the rest was perfect! I recommend this place.

An amazing resort. Suitable for families of all ages. ”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beach Republic. We were hosted by Than most days and his guest service was impeccable. One improvement I would like to see is an evening turn down service, they provide chocolates in the fridge each day already, so turning a room down is a step further. A great hotel in a perfect location. We love Beach Republic.

Very Satisfied with the Beach Republic”

The Beach Republic seems to be targeted at a younger, single crowd and have a very "hip" and modern style. We were a family with 2 young kids (4 & 7) but we didn't feel too out of place. We had a suite with living room and bedroom and loved having more space with the family. The staff were all great every time we needed something and we found the prices to be reasonable for the quality offered. The breakfast was great and there were a few good restaurants and massage places within walking distance of the resort.

Absolutely amazing hotel, brilliant service”

we fell in love with the hotel as soon as we set foot in the dining/pool area. lovely atmosphere, we were personally welcomed by the general manager. staff were charming and accomodating, and as a chef of 28+ years, i have to say the food was exceptional. buffet breakfast includes everything you could think of, try the egg white omelette with vege hash and truffle oil.later on, mojitos by the poolside.. what more could a girl ask for! the sunday brunch is also legendary on koh samui. we will be back again and again and again.

Well managed resort”

really great place! rooms are stylish with every amenity to hand...mini bar, drinking water, coffee machine, room service, turndown all done with the beach republic brand as a constant. down by the beach the day beds are so comfortable you can lounge all day, ordering cool drinks and food on a whim. try the green detox! staff are attentive but not over bearing. sunday has the poolside "sunday session" which is busy enough to have a great vibe yet totally laid back. a great place to relax. resort is not really within walking distance to much, however there is a shuttle service if you want to go out and about, but for a weekend, there really is no need to leave!

Nice Accommodation and Friendly Staff”

The staffs are friendly, yet the staff at the restaurant, most of the times are inactive, as they couldn't really spot our group of 3, as we had to stand there or waited quite a time before able to have the menus and order. There were moments of silent when we walked to the restaurant and there was no one to spot or ask us, immediately, as it should be. There are not so many or variety of food, yet the types of food cover all you want; for breakfast buffet: bread, pastries, fruits, cereals, jam, many juices, eggs, crepes, a couple of Thai and many other westerns. The food quality is great, organic available as well. The taste is good. You can also walk to the restaurant next door as well. The room is nice and clean, room service is great and quick. Kitchen utensils are available for us to cook our own meal in our room as well, and we had asked to buy 2 salad dressings which they willingly gave and served us at our door. There are 2 pools, the one for swimming and another for drinking in, as they have a kind of seats, or chairs within the pool, next to the kid pool. The beach is not so beautiful and it doesn't really urge us to play in; but it is nice to walk along and feel the breeze, as well as lying on couches or beds you can choose from many that they provide us. It is suitable for an escape to a serene and peaceful Lamai Beach, with all accommodations you'd need. They also have a free drop off and pick up within 2 hrs, to the near-by McDonalds and Tesco Lotus, 2 times a day. You can also borrow movies, or even rent an iPad, with free wi-fi in your room. Overall experience is satisfying.

Best holiday...ever.”

Beach Republic is amazing. We hired the 2 bed villa, and wow, we had the best time in our own pool. The hotel pool is also amazing and the food is out of this world - best I've ever had 8 yrs in Thailand. The waiter Than was fantastic so helpful and attentive. Everything was just perfect. The only downside and its nothing really, is that it doesn't have a very resort vibe as its literally a couple of streets and a street down to the beach area but that's by the by really for what was one of the best hols I have ever had.
