Pros - Great location just in front of Clarke Quay Central, you can basically walk about 30 mins to many attractions nearby (Clarke Quay, Bugis, Haji Lane, Merlion, Fort Canning Park, Chjmes, etc) and lotsa bus and train options to travel around - Breakfast included in price! Simple bread, butter and jam but all good - Staff were very hospitable and friendly. Belinda made me feel like I'm home - Clean and complete facilities; enough of bathrooms and shower rooms, power socket near bed, drinking water, hair dryer, iron - Close to cheap and delicious Singapore Chicken Rice in front of Clarke Quay Central mal - Internet works perfectly Cons: - No lift in property. And if you bring bag from the train station at wee hours most elevator from station will be off and you'll have to go through many many stairs... - Blanket is thin. And the AC is full-power. But Belinda gave me extra blanket so it was sorted out! - No shampoo and you have to pay for towel use

A FANTASTIC TRIP!”

My friend recommends this hostel and location. The room is clean and all people show the respect. The receptionist were friendly, good service and smooth check-in - check-out. This location is near China Town, China Town Food Court (Local people's recommend that this place have a lot of tasty dishes and cheap), Budha Tooth Relic Temple, Fort Canning Park (I really want to go there but my time is not enough)... Location, very friendly and accommodating staff, clean place”

Visited Singapore for the F1 Race and this place is highly recommended. About 10 to 15 minutes from Padang Grandstand (after watching the late night concerts). Going to Esplanade is about 15 minutes walk. Very accessible, about 5 minutes walk to Clarke Quay MRT station. Two 7-11 shops nearby to buy essentials plus the Central Clarke Quay is also few minutes walk. The staff are very accommodating and friendly, the place is very clean and they also make sure the toilets are always clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast is just toast and spread but okay to start the day. Good thing you can have tea or coffee anytime. Over-all, I will rate this hostel approx. 8.5 to 9. Should I watch the race next year, definitely will stay in this hostel again.

Excellent Staff”

The location of this hostel is great, it is near the Clark Quay MRT station. It was near to SGInnovate, which hosts technology meetups and nightly conferences. This convenience allowed me to walk. The receptionist Ray was very helpful with everything from checking in to questions I had about Singapore recommendations. The rooms were kept clean, and CR/showering area was clean as well. Would stay again.

Excellent”

Great location, great common lounge area. Included breakfast is plain (bread/toasts with spreads, cereal and milk) but can be a good volume of carbs to get you going if you need it. Being in Chinatown/Clark Quay is great for walking a short distance for some decent food or sightseeing, or just an MRT stop. Beds are open, no curtains or barriers, a bit exposed, especially in the larger rooms where there will be often be someone moving around, opening and closing doors, turning on lights, and generally making noise or other disturbances. That's just hostel living. Laundry was pretty steep at S$10 for a load. Lockers a little small. All in all a good stay!

Second time staying here and it is still excellent. ”

This is my second stay in this hostel. On this travel, i came with my husband and kid, mom and sister. We love it here. Location is superb. Walking distance to Clarke MRT, park, Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, Merlion, etc. Lots of restos near in the area. Super nice and friendly staff. They adore my kid. Free basic breakfast. Unlimited. Its just that.... guest doesn't clean their dishes. Tsk! I’ll gonna be seeing you soon!

More Impressed than Ever”

I have stayed at this property before it was renamed recently and I felt more impressed than ever before. The staff, location, facilities were the same, if not a notch better! Because of the change in the Operating Brand Name, their reviews are restarted from Zero. But this should not deter any one of your from staying in this hostel inn that is award-winning and operating for the past 4 years. It’s not just the friendly atmosphere and competent friendliest staff, it’s how they have constantly improve themselves in terms of service and guest facilities. Now the mattresses have been upgraded and that drastically improves the experience... The pantry area is well-stocked with all the necessary appliances and with a fully equipped kitchen that is available 24/7, this is a great asset to all long-termed travellers and people on budget. And the laundry room has been completely replaced...It now comes with a dryer other than the usual washer. I loved the Common Area where guests mingle. It is rare to see any hostels dedicate the whole of the level to common mingle area and kitchen. I have spoken to many of the other guests here and it seems that everyone agrees that out of the places they have tried in Singapore or even overseas, this is one of their top favourites.

My first Time stay here, it was quite good. I stayed in mix 10 beds. It is near mrt Clarke quay. It is far from Changi airport about 1 hr by mrt. Breakfast was cereal and bread with spread; strawberry jam, butter, and peanut. You have to clean by yourself. Towel rental was about 3 S$.

Great place to stay”

Awesome experience staying here, superb location too. Just a stone's throw away from Central Mall and Clarke Quay MRT, with bus stops just at the end of the street. Nice quiet little street with a typical Chinese karaoke pub downstairs but the whole hostel is well-insulated from the 'noise'. Some changes in management taking place but quality has not been affected one bit! Great place and memories!

Friendly Staffs, Great Hostel”

Pros: 1. Friendly Staffs. Thanks! 2. Clean. It may not as clean as a four as five star hotel but acceptable for a hostel. Yes, including the toilets & bathrooms although some guests were making some mess while doing their 'business.' Not the hostel fault. Although they could check on this more often to avoid this inconvenience sight. 3. Air-con cool enough. 4. Great location, MRT Clake Quay Station is less than 10 minutes away. This is a hostel in a prime area, and with a high Singapore Dollar, this is actually a good deal. If you want a cheaper and better option, go further from the city center. 5. Simple Breakfast - Just bread, cereals, milk, instant coffee - the basics. Cons: 1. Room Size - yes they are small but You Get What You Pay For. 2. No Bidet in the toilets. Bummer!

VERY NEAR MRT”

I was really surprised how close to the MRT this place is! Take Clarke Quay MRT exit to the bridge-something road, and just walk towards Hongkong Street. Other than that, I was also satisfied with the staff friendliness, helpfulness, facilities inside the room, clean bathroom and common space. The only setback is one night I found the stairs around lobby (and of course the area near the stairs) is very smelly because of the AC maybe turned off earlier and there're lots of shoes which needs extra air circulation haha. But fortunately I experienced it only 1 of 2 nights there. My parents are also very happy about this place. Overall, satisfying :D

budget price”

GOOD; 6 minutes from clarke quay mrt by walk and 4 min from Song fa bakute. 5 min from big starbucks(in clarke quay centre) which is for 24 hours. water pressure in shower is nice. the staff are friendly. BAD; you need to be barefoot inside hostel but the floor is not that clean especially in toilet, u might step on someone's urine. there were hair on my bed sheet and pillow cover, besides when the person on my upper bunk moves, dusts came down to my bed(lower bunk). A/C was pointed directly to my face and i got a sorethroat so i needed to wear mask when im sleeping. and blanket is so ugly and thin n small. when u ask for help to staff, shes kinda friendly but doesnt do actually a thing to make ur stay better. bedsheet was kinda humid but the air was dried. the worst thing was that i had no place at all* to open ur carrier bags on the floor. Even if its a room for 10 ppl, it was too much. and there are many ants crawling on the table of the lobby, so i sometimes found a ant on my arms too. and when ur washing ur face there r not actually a place to put ur stuff, so inconvenient especially for women. Despite budget price i do not recommend this hostel... there r many other with similar price nearby.

Very close to Clarke Quay. Very comfortable beds”

Just had the double room. It's expensive for a backpacker standard but it was literally less than a 10 min walk to Clarke Quay. A very comfortable bed (Lv 3) with good working Air con. No complaints here. Very easy going. Key code to get in and then your room key. Also a cool rooftop. Only thing I might add is that its not really a backpacker/traveller place where you have a common room you can interact with others. But it's got great privacy and clean bathrooms

This is the 2nd times that I come back the hostel. Everything are good, the location are awesome, near the clark quay MRT, China Town ... etc. And the hostel been at the quite place. I should come back next time :D

Time in Singapore”

Great time spent in Singapore. Location of the S Inn is perfect to getting to all the big attractions, shopping malls, eateries and restaurants via train. S Inn was a great stay, easy check-in and friendly staff. Bedrooms clean, bathrooms could be a bit cleaner but generally tidy, overall a good vibe to the place. Will definitely stay again in future.

Good location near MRT”

It is walking distance to Clarke Quay MRT Station. You can also just walk from this hostel to the Singapore Merlion and the Marina Bay area. We arrived late at night. So there’s no staff at the reception desk. You have to specify that you will check-in late so they can leave instructions for you (with your name and room) on the desk. They will also email you the main entrance code. There is free breakfast — cereal, toast with peanut butter and strawberry jam, and coffee. Feel free to serve yourself at the common dining area from 7:30-10:30am.

Aside from it's ear clark quay, the receptionists are very approachable ,helpful and smiling:) would ot hesitate to book in this place again if given the chance to go back to singapore

Worth for money and great stay”

Location is super great which only 3min walk to Clark quay mrt. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Will come here stay if going Singapore again.

Lovely staff”

I found the staff incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. The hostel itself is in a great location, near the Clark Quay MRT and an easy walk to Chinatown. I wasn't a fan of how far the bathrooms were from the dorm rooms (down the hall), but otherwise I don't have any complaints.

Great location”

This hostel is perfect in terms of location. The Marina Bay area, Chinatown and Clarke Quay can be walked in just under 15 minutes. As for farther tourist spots, the location is near major MRT stations that connect directly to the said tourist spots. One thing they need to improve though is the cleanliness. If you're an OC person when it comes to cleanliness, then I recommend not to stay here since the facilities are shared. What I appreciate the most is that they still let me use the toilet and bathroom even after I have checked out already. This is a huge plus.
