Was the best part of my trip. Kiyofumi-san was really kind enough to pick me up around 830PM at the Nakakaruizawa Station. I super felt at home as if it was my house. The best part which I really liked is the antique interior, the hot tub, the warm room, clean beddings, delicious breakfast and I experienced snow during my stay. If you love to do a nature walk around Nakakaruizawa, the distance isn't really an issue, I went around town by foot only. Walked from the guesthouse to Kogen Church and Harunire Terrace ^^ You can write purchase a postcard also and Kiyofumi-san was kind enough to put the stamps on my postcards as well. Overall, I love this place among all the accoms I stayed during my stay in Japan. Definitely a good place to relax and unwind. Super safe especially for solo travellers 😍

Value for money and comfortable place”
Pro : economical, clean, all basic amenities in place. Cons : Bit away from railway station. ( although owner offers pickup and drop. So nice of him). No dinner available. Also outside restaurants close around 7 pm. So any late dinner is not possible. No buses ply on this route. So only option is walk or taxi.

The host is so friendly. Everything was laid out so clearly for me and I appreciated the multiple common areas. Surrounding hikes were beautiful and they had a lot of resources of what to do around Karuizawa.

Warmful cottage that makes you feel home”
Room and bed are clean. Upper bunk might not be good for tall people. Location is pretty far away from nearest station, but the owner is so kind of offer free ride (at specific timing) to Naka-karuizawa Station! Overall a memorable stay for me.

Exceptional”
Owners were very hospitable and kind and allowed me to leave my luggage before check in time. Basic necessities were all provided and they even had a small manga section (if you can read japanese manga). Towels are not provided but can be rented at ¥200 per set (1 small 1 big). My bed was on the top bunk and the stairs is straight vertically (not the angled kind), so it was a bit hard to get down. Other than that, satisfied with the stay!

Nice and clean guesthouse”
It's located far from the train station(about 15mins on foot). But the host is friendly and the place is clean. The host will drive you to the train station in the next morning. The bunk bed is a little bit old that when you move your body the bed will make some noise. Except the bed everything is pretty good.

beautiful small house in nakakaruizawa”
The house was about 15minutes walk from the station, a bit inconvenient, but because of this I saw beautiful stars in the sky from the house. The owners were very nice and kind. The toilet and bathroom were shared, but the bathroom was so nice after a tiring day from the ski resort.

Tasteful and quaint, lovely blue and white cottage on the hill. ”
Worth for the 12 minutes walk from the station. Quiet, beautiful surrounding, a world away from the crowded Karuizawa town centre. Close to nature and various hiking trails. The man who runs the hostel is attentive and helpful, super polite, speaks good English. Definitely one of the best hostel I've ever stayed.

Nice host!”
Very great value for this price. The location is not too good cuz it's about 15min walking to naka-karuizawa station, but the host is very nice he would help us call taxi everyday. It cost about ¥1400 yen to get there.

Guesthouse is 4 kms from Karuizawa main town and is surrounded by lush trees,and gardens. Good spot for walking and listening to the birds. Comfortable accommodation with quiet areas for down time. There are shared bathrooms. There's a delicious breakfast or self catering is an option.

Pleasant experience”
The hostel and the atmosphere is really nice, still walkable distance from Naka-karuizawa station. The room is also clean. The owners are very nice and friendly, they helped me with how to go around and they even offered me to stay at the female only room because it was empty. They also provided me with ride to the station when I checked out. And the breakfast was delicious! If I'm ever in Karuizawa I would definitely stay again!

Fantastic stay”
The owner couples are very kind to introduce the tourist attractions in town. It might be a bit far from Kyu-Karuizawa area but it is still close to the Stone Church. The day I arrived is very cold and the hostel is fully heated. I did have a good night there.

Having a great time in Bellscabin. Mr. Kiyofumi is really kind, not only renting his bicycle to me for free and even drove me to the near station due to the cold weather. The breakfast is really delicious and you will see a lot of birds eating the sunflower seeds through a special container made by the owner. I’m so lucky to see the super blue blood moon during my stay:)

Excellent places to stay”
I love this guesthouse a lot. First, it offer a delicious breastfast to choose. Second, it was filled with Japanese culture in every space of this guesthouse especially its restroom. Its restroom is totally Japanese style and it makes you relax after a whole day tiring bicycle tour. What's more, you can feel warm in this guesthouse. I love this guesthouse very much!
