Next big thing in Ubud”

I seldom write reviews for hotels but felt compelled to after staying for two nights at Bisma Eight. Usually, I'd stay at simple guesthouses or villas while in Bali, but decided to give this hotel a shot after hearing good things from a couple of friends. The experience was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, Bisma Eight kept me surprised throughout. The room was splendid! Spacious while still feeling cosy, sockets right where you need them to be and the Japanese soaking tub just topped it off. Everything in the room feels like it was well thought of and designed, exactly where you need them to be. Normally I'd head out immediately after checking into a room but here, I spent the first few hours of my stay sitting in the wooden tub, not wanting to leave. As it was raining, I decided to stay in and visit the hotel's restaurant, something I don't usually do, but I'm glad I did. Hands down, one of the best meals I had in all of Bali. Every single dish that arrived was fantastic. From the starters to the desserts, all the plates were licked clean. The staff explained that some of their produce comes from the farm down the road, and they also had a little herb garden at the side of he restaurant. It's doesn't get any cleaner and fresher that that. After my meal, I popped by the little bar next to the restaurant for a drink and their cocktails exceeded all my expectations. In Bali, the cocktails served are usually a far cry of what they are supposed to taste like. Not the case here, everyone I had felt skillfully crafted. Easily one of my favorite bars right now. The drinks, ambience, music, spot on. Upon leaving Ubud to Seminyak after the two nights in Bisma Eight, everything felt pale in comparison to the bar it set. Raved to all my friends about it and I'm already planning my next stay there.

Awesome time at Bisma Eight”

I usually don't write reviews but after my experience with Bisma Eight I feel a need to spread the word out to this new awesome hotel! We stayed at bisma eight for 3 nights and were really really impressed with the place! We were well taken care of by the helpful and friendly staff throughout our stay ! We booked a garden suite for the stay which included free breakfast every morning. I've stayed at many hotels in the past and free breakfast usually meant some cheap buffet spread at a sub par eatery, BUT NOT AT BISMA EIGHT. I was blown away by the quality of the ala carte breakfast that was provided at their restaurant (as well as the refreshing decor and ambience) ! We didn't mention to the staff that it was my girlfriend's birthday but kudos to the staff for being attentive ( I guess our passport details) and upgrading us to the Forrest suite for the remaining 2 nights of our stay :) that, along with two surprise birthday cakes (one for the breakfast and one for the dinner)! First time I've experienced this sort of hospitality overseas :) One thing I need to emphasise at this hotel is its restaurant, Copper. We initially planned to have my gf's birthday dinner at Bridges, but after seeing the decor of the restaurant , we decided to shift our reservation to Cooper instead. Nice ambience, attentive staff , privacy away from the party scene, just what we wanted. Enjoyed our time interacting with the staff! They managed to provide us with tips and recommendations, assisted us with our spa reservations and transport plans. Thank you Trisna and Ketut ! Thank you to Mr Kumar for the attention and hospitality, as well as the late check out . I wish Bisma Eight future success and we will visit you guys soon.

Enjoyable and relaxing stay in the heart of Bali”

I stayed in Bisma Eight knowing that it was a new boutique property in Asia and that usually gets me planning for my next trip. I like to stay in boutique hotels because of exciting food, very cozy and cleverly designed rooms, and overall, a less-than-generic feeling than the average chain or brand hotel and I must say, that Bisma Eight delivered not only a boutique experience, but a truly elevated one. From the beautiful ganesh shrine in the entrance, to the delightful food with select ingredients from their very own organic garden, to the super comfortable beds and onsen tubs, to the only heated pool in Ubud (and probably Bali) made my stay a very pleasant one. Location is also perfect as it is located very close to the monkey forest and the central ubud square heck I even walked in some days. Seriously try this hotel out. Great job Bisma Eight.

Bisma Eight_ An Oasis In The Heart Of Ubud”

Bisma Eight is a modern yet charming hotel tucked away in the heart of Bali's cultural centre, Ubud. As I walked in I was struck by the very cool modern chandelier. The room I stayed in was large and well laid out with ceiling high windows on all 4 sides of the room which gave plenty of light, and a balcony. What struck me most about the room was the bed post behind the bed which also doubled and served as a desk (uber cool and forward thinking) and had on it oh so many plug points that it allowed me to charge all my gadgets! Another something special in their spacious bathroom was an old fashioned wooden bath tub that they have restored with utmost care. Again it offers old world charm with modern amenities and makes for the most endearing feature of the room. I was happy to see a gym but what took me by surprise is that the staff agreed to keep the gym open for me if i needed to work out late at night post 10. This is what I call service!!! A chef from overseas cooked us tasty fresh healthy meals, gluten free even, much to my delight... I was truely blown over by the quality of the food and the care they took to ensure that it met every dietary concern an individual may have. I visited the bar that was quaint and intimate with uber cool chairs and a mixologist that whipped up some mean cocktails for us. An infinity pool overlooks the forest and you can hear a stream of water flowing through that makes you feel so removed from the hustle of the Seminyak and one with nature. And the most fun part is, even though you feel like you are in the middle of a forest you are 5 minutes away from the centre of Ubud's mainstreets. And one last thing, the price of the hotel is great. in all a wonderful experience which makes you feel like you didn't even need to leave the hotel. I cant wait to go back on my next trip and tell all my friends its a must go to when you go to Bali!

Second time staying in Bisma Eight”

I absolutely love staying in Bisma Eight. It always feels like home the soonest we stepped into the hotel. We were greeted by the warmest and friendliest staffs. In fact everyone who works there always has a smile on their faces. The second time we stayed here, we received a complimentary upgrade to Forest Suite which was just lovely. I would recommend those who are visiting Ubud to stay in Bisma Eight. Its a delightful experience, one which will make you have post holiday blues once you leave the hotel. I would absolutely stay in Bisma Eight again when I Visit Ubud the next time round. Thank you to the whole team for making each stay of mine an unforgettable and one that is filled with satisfaction.

Paradise in Ubud”

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade to Forest Suite. Loved every bit of the room, the little details like leaving cookies on our table and a letter welcoming our stay at Bisma Eight. The view from our room overlooking the forest and infinity pool is the highlight of our stay, followed by an amazing breakfast spread in the morning at the Copper Kitchen. Ubud Central is easily accessible from the Hotel with a slow 15 mins stroll, complimentary car shuttle services can be booked in advance. We had a taste of paradise at Bisma Eight, and wished we had stayed on longer. Thank you Bisma Eight for making our stay such a pleasant one. We will be back for more ;)

Calm and peaceful!”

We loved our stay here! Everything in the hotel is designed to calm and make you relax. I loved the garden pathway, the al fresco restaurants with views of the rice fields and forest and most specially the infinity pool. It's like every corner invites you to take a picture. The room is also great. We loved the super comfy bed, the Onsen bath tub and balcony overlooking the forest. We had our lunch and breakfast served here. Everything tasted and looked good. There's also free daily classes offered by the hotel. We were able to try the cooking and yoga classes. All of the staff were very friendly. If you will stay here in Bali, it's recommended you have a staycation of at least one day in Bisma Eight Ubud.

Excellent Retreat Away from the Hustle/Bustle”

Bisma Eight is a wonderful property located on a quiet road of the main strip of Ubud, Bali. It's a short 5-10 minute walk to the downtown part of Ubud. But the location of the hotel makes it so attractive as a quiet oasis on the edge of the tropical rain forests. The best things about this place? The infinity pool, the service, and the restaurant. The rooms are pretty good too. We had a garden suite. We especially like the the bathroom with a traditional Japanese wooden, onsen-type tub. It does take a long time to fill up so beware. The restaurant serves up really delicious, nouveau cuisine and Indonesian standards. We also liked the breakfast simply because it was not your typical buffet but rather a la carte. Downsides -- some mosquitoes despite weekly fulmigation. But hey, you are on the edge of a jungle so what do you expect. The room service was not always consistent in providing us with the right amount of cutlery but the taste was just as good as having it in the restaurant. Would I recommend this place - definitely yes!

Five stars worthy. Best hotel & service in ubud. ”

There is no word to describe how this hotel is perfect. Five star services from the minute you step out of the car your until your departure. All staff number was very attentive from morning to evening. We all know that there’s lots of hotel in ubud , but for me and my family, were are definitely coming back to bisma eight,there’s no doubt about it. The morning breakfast is just delicious. A la carte menu, you just want to eat everything on the menu cause you know that everything is so yummy. The breakfast and the dinner is just so delicious. The Infinity pool just wow. The forest view with the sunset behind, its just breathtaking. Thanks you to all team staff at BISMA EIGHT.

Excellent accommodation close to centre of Ubud”

Our stay at Bisma Eight was truly excellent. The hotel itself is an amazing blend of a modern concrete building, beautiful stylish furniture which flows seamlessly with the nature outside. The rooftop restaurant and the amazing infinity pool were truly awesome. What truly made the experience was the excellent customer service from the staff who were incredibly friendly, focussed on ensuring a good stay and really helpful. This was particularly important when I injured my foot and had to go to the doctors. In no time at all, the reception arranged a driver and took me to the local doctor, the driver then stayed with us and helped make sure all was ok. They then continued to check we were ok throughout the stay. If you want to stay in a friendly beautiful hotel close to Ubud, I can't recommend highly enough. If I make it back to Bali, I will definitely be returning.

Great hotel!”

We had a great time at the Bisma Eight in Ubud. The room was gorgeous and had great amenities- the balcony, the japanese soaking tub, etc. The pool is absolutely stunning, and a great retreat from the traffic and crowds in central Ubud. Breakfast was delicious and also in a beautiful location - up on the top floor, where you can eat outside overlooking the rice paddies. The hotel location was good too - about a 10 min walk to central Ubud (monkey forrest, palace, etc). The only negative thing about our stay was the rooster that lived outside our window. He started crowing non-stop every morning at 6am- not what you want while on vacation. If we went back tot his hotel, I'd request a room on the rice paddy side, to avoid the rooster and early-morning wakeup.

Exceptional”

We loved our stay at Bisma Eight Ubud! The staff was amazing, super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very beautiful and elegant. It felt quite private with a lot of focus on quality rather on quantity. All of the facilities were of high quality. As to the location, the hotel is quite close to central Ubud which is of a great advantage. The pool is amazing! Our only regret was that we had to go back to Kuta, otherwise we would have loved to extend our stay at Bisma Eight!

Beautiful Bisma Eight ”

I booked Bisma Eight, paying a little more than I had budgeted because I wanted our Ubud stay to be special, romantic and high end- Bisma didn’t disappoint. Not only are their rooms something out of a travel book, but so is their bar, their restaurant and their pool. Their staff are lovely and so so helpful, I needed to make an international call to sneakily Call in sick to work because I was really sun tanning in the hills of Ubud and the ladies at the front desk were so unbelievably helpful. She even called the number from reception and said she’d ‘transfer it straight through to my room phone, without saying a thing’ to not blow my cover. I had an exceptional stay here and Bisma and I am so so sad to be leaving tomorrow morning. Thank you so much ❤️

A Hidden Gem in Central Ubud”

From the moment we stepped inside the hotel, we already fell in love with this hotel. It was very easy to find the hotel, central Ubud was within walking area, yet the hotel feĺt very private and you got the pure nature ambience. Once you looked at the view from the infinity pool, just forget other places to enjoy sunset. This pool has the best sunset looking location! The food were also very excellent. We tried dinner once at Cooper's. My husband and I are not to keen to try fine dining since we are more on "street dining" experience, but we have to admit that Cooper's are one of the best restaurant we've ever been. The staff were also very helpful and polite. Especially Ms. Sang Ayu, our receptionist who always very kind and helpful. The only disappointment experience: we ran out of forest suite rooms. Tried to change it the next day but it was fully booked. Although any rooms in this hotel were excellent, if you can, book forest suite. It is really worth it!!! Thank's Bisma Eight hotel and staff. Will definetely come back again here.

Fabulous gem in Ubud”

We started our stay at Bisma on a very rocky foot when the hotel forgot our airport pickup even though I have received an email confirmation from there the day before. We eventually gave up waiting and made our own way there. Upon reaching the hotel, the front desk staff as well as manager greeted us and profusely apologized for the hiccup. They provided us with a complimentary airport transfer when we checked out as well as a complimentary driver for the day. The hotel was even more beautiful in person. We stayed at the Forrest suites located the furthers away from the hotel lobby. Even though it was not a sheltered walkway, there were umbrellas located at every elevator. The rooms were incredibly spacious and tastefully designed, and the person onsen was heaven. The hotel's most stunning feature is the heated pool overlooking the Forrest. The breakfast served ala carte style was very delectable. They do not provide generic buffet styled breakfast instead they provide a cafe bistro style menu that featured Asian, continental and American style breakfast. activities such as yoga lessons in the morning as well as daily complimentary tea/coffee at the hotel's very own cafe from 4-5pm made our stay even more unforgettable. Even though there were a couple of hiccups throughout our stay, the hotel's staff always took full responsibility of their mistake and made sure that it was corrected. Very responsible, friendly and hospitable staff! Being such a young hotel, I think Bisma eight can hold its weight against more established brand name resorts. The hotel created such a personal experience for my family and me that I have been raving about it to all my friends back home! The only problem is the distance the hotel is situated from the main road, even though there was a shuttle service in the day, it was quite a long walk (1km) if you miss the shuttle of if it was after hours. Maybe the resort could provide bikes to guests?

Wonderfully peaceful...”

My friend and I chose to finish off our stay in Ubud with 2 nights at Bisma Eight. Our first 4 nights were on Monkey Forest Road so the location of Bisma felt much quieter and peaceful and we enjoyed the change. We booked a twin Garden Room but were upgraded to a Forest Room. Great! It was further to walk, being close to the swimming pool but offered delightful views over the forest which we really enjoyed and actually this room really made our stay that extra bit special. The rooms are clean, plenty of space to relax for 2 friends sharing as it was a proper twin with 2 single beds rather than 1 of us getting the bed and the other the sofa which is often the case. The bathroom was great and the staff are all wonderfully friendly. We had our final dinner in the Copper Restaurant and the food was excellent. Definitely a great finish for our trip! With the super rate we got and the upgrade we couldn't have been happier.

An Truly Hidden Gem in The Center of Ubud.”

This was our second visit to Bisma Eight. The moment we entered the place, we felt relaxed right away. Our Forrest Suite room was very amazing. In the morning when we opened the window, we could see some cute squirrels went up and down the trees. One of the things that make this place special is the original Japanese Onzen. Come and try it, and you will never forget the relaxing moment you have. The staffs were very polite and helpfull. They will always try to fulfill your needs. Bisma Eight is a real hidden gem right in the center of Ubud. A place to remember...

Quiet retreat in Central Ubud”

Bisma Eight is a smaller, boutique hotel with very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The food we ate in the hotel was overall fresh and delicious, breakfast in particular was very good. The rooms were a reasonable size, but not that spacious for this price accommodation. The Onsen-style bath was quite odd and more novelty than anything else - a regular bath would have been our preference. We would stay here again and recommend to others looking for a quiet base to explore Ubud from.

Ubud haven”

We LOVED our stay at Bisma Eight. It was the perfect place to unwind at the end of our stay in Ubud when we had done the exploring we wanted. The rooms were and grounds are aesthetically pleasing from every angle, and the rooms are stylish and spacious. The Garden room fit our family of four comfortably with a separate living/TV area to the bed which allowed adults to stay up while children slept. The pool was somewhere you could relax all day, giving the feeling of relaxation and peace. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Great with kids, and chatty but not overly so. Requests for late check out were accommodated where possible, transfer to the airport and into town were taken care of properly and thoroughly (even with the suggestion of a packed breakfast for a 3am transfer). We would happily return !

The whole place has a cool concept, very nicely furnished, neatly done, and well maintained. Hotel is new, 1 year + in, and the current staff roster are those who have trained and established this hotel. So with that said. the service is excellent. My stay at Bisma Eight, left me feeling pampered and spoilt throughout my entire Bali trip. Only after leaving Ubud for Seminyak in the second half of the trip, left me only wishing for more.
