In July 2012 I stayed again at the Bonitos Chinos Hotel at Nakhon Sawan. And again, it was a plesure! "Brand new" hotel, very nicely decorated rooms, on top of the building a nice restaurant / bar with perfect view above the (totally underestimated city of Nakhon Sawan!). When at Nakhoin Sawan, then stay at this hotel!

I've been travelling from Chiang Mai to Pattaya quite a bit this year and the last. We always stop off on Nakhon Sawan for a night both halfway down and halfway up. I've been to most of the 4* hotels in Nakhon Sawan and this is right up there. It's just a tad below The 42C but much better located. None of the 4* hotels that I've been to have had a good buffet breakfast. Bontio Chinos' buffet breakfast is probably the most 'Thai' in that it is the spiciest and least common to the western palate. The staff are great and the rooms are large and clean. I really like the central location.

Very Clean new hotel”

We were travelling south from Chiang mai in the car and needed to find somewhere to stop for the night so I logged into the Agoda app on my iphone and found this new hotel in Nakhon Sawan. we didn't have a printer obviously so when we arrived at 10:20pm at night all I could do was show the girl on reception, the confirmation on my iphone, this was no problem for them, she also said that although the room service was supposed to finish at 10pm, if we wanted something to eat when we had settled in the room, we could call her and she would arrange it for us. The hotel is very easy to find as it stands up high above most things although it is set back a bit from the road. Its the newest hotel in nakhon Sawan so theerefore everything in it is clean and new. the breakfast is good for thai food, which was fine for me and my thai girlfriend, but if you are hoping for an american or english breakfast you might be a little dissapointed. they have a chef stood cooking eggs to your liking though.

3rd time staying, still the best in town”

as evidenced by my other reviews, this is our preferred stopover when traveling north-south or vice-versa. nakhon sawan doesn't have a lot to offer in the way of hotels, but the bonito chinos will go a long way towards making you overlook that. it's at the main intersection coming off the river bridge, so it's right by robinson's, but you'll also find plenty of street food vendors in the evening at the foot of the parking lot, along the 7-11.

very beautiful hotel with style. nice looking rooms, large sized rooms. 9th floor restauarant / bar is a hit in the evening, cool wind and nice live music. be careful with the taxi drivers at the train station, the songthaew driver asked for 900 bahts from the train station to the hotel! i should have taken a pic of him an should have bring this pic to the tourist police! i clearly refused his "offer" and found another songthaew that brought me for a reasonable price of baht to the hotel (from train station, quite a distance). nakhon sawan is not a touristic hotspot for 99.9% of the tourists - they miss a real nice place! very nice tempel on top of the 180 meter high mountain with 360 degrees view, a 5 square kilometer large city park, rivers - very, very nice city!

Pleasant surprise”

We were looking for a quick one night stop on the drive up north and decided to stay in Nakhon Sawan this time. A wise decision. The Bonito Chinos was a very pleasant surprise - the best beds we had had since Bangkok, fast WiFi to plan ahead a little, conveniently located to go and stack up on snacks etc at Big C. Just everything you want from a hotel on the road. It is a little noisy at night though, there seems to be some nightclub or something just a couple of hundred meteres away. But the bed was great, the aircon worked well - I slept like a baby.

Affordable and centrally located”

Very good value. Great for Chinese New Year. ”

We stayed with another couple with two small children who were easily accommodated. The staff is very friendly and the roof top bar is great in the evening for a breeze. The rooms were very clean and nicely equipped. The breakfast is good and hot, we ended up taking our niece there for the night unexpectedly and there was no problem, just 80 Bhat extra for her breakfast. Great value all around. We stayed here 2 years ago for Chinese new year and it was a perfect location as the staging area for the day parade in right in front of the hotel. The night parade is on the other side of town, but just a short taxi ride. Also, it is only about 15 minutes from the train station and that line runs from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. I have taken the run on the train to and from Ayutthaya from Nakhon Sawan and takes 2 to 3.5 hours depending on what train you get. The aircon train is good and the fan train isn't too bad as all the windows are open and the air isn't so dry. That ride is about 130 Bhat one way for the Fan train.

Probably my go to hotel”

I stayed here for a night on the way down to Pattaya from Chiang Mai. I didn't book a hotel on the return - in order to leave my options open. I always like to stay somewhere different in Nakon Sawan so I can experience all the different 4* hotels. I have been to 4 different hotels in Nakon Sawan and this is the 2nd best after 42C The Chic Hotel. It's also 5-10 quid cheaper a night but has a better location. The rooms aren't quite as nice but that's reflected in the price. I stayed here on the way down to Pattaya and rebooked it for the journey back up to Chiang Mai. Its definitely my go to hotel now.

It was great to summarize. Very clean hotel, one of the cleanest I've seen in my travels here and that includes pricey resorts and hotels. Very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Nakhon Sawan.

Good location and great price”

We booked this hotel as a part of our trip to Chiang mai. Nakhon Sawan is a big city in Thailand and the hotel was very easy to find. Parking spaces were abundance and secure. The hotel is situated near BigC shopping centre and not too far from the river. The staffs were helpful and great with restaurant recommendations. We were satisfied with our stay at this place.

Good location”

Stayed here for a while visiting friends in Nakhon Sawan. Good location if you don't have your own transport as Big C and associated restaurants are within walking distance. It's just off the main highway making it convenient but quiet. Room safe didn't work in both rooms I had but apart from that was good. Wifi was OK. Breakfast was good but I wouldn't recommend the rooftop restaurant. Edible but average food although the view was OK. Its one of the better options in town.

Finally a great hotel in Nakhon Suwan”

i was very impressed with the bonito chinos. great location with easy assess to the city, major roads and the mall. there is an ample car park for drivers and the rooms were large and spotless. very nice layout to this new hotel. i will stay here on every return to this city.

Clean, new hotel in the middle of the city”

Great hotel in the middle of Nakhon Sawan. Close to all services and very good vaalue for money. Rooftop restaurant was excellent.

Great cheap, clean and friendly hotel”

We used the Bonito Chino hotel for only one night while traveling from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin. The hotel is on the route with only a 100 meters diversion. After arrival we went to the roof top bar for refreshments. The service received far exceeded expectations with the staff always on hand but not hovering at your shoulder. The food was also very good; so good that we did not venture into town. Breakfast is mainly Thai and there is an egg station so all was good. If I drive to to/from Chiang Mai again I would certainly use this hotel as a night stop. Very good value.

This was my first visit to Nahkon Sawan so I wasn't sure what to expect, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull, the hotel is located very near to the river so I was able to do some fishing. All i all a very nice place to stay, I will certainly stay in this hotel in the future.

Bonito Chino has become our regular hotel to stay overnight on the way to or from Bangkok. Big C is a walk around the corner if you need any supplies.

Typical Thai Provincial Hotel”

There is very little reason to stop in Nakhon Sawan, except to break your journey between north and south. This is a reasonable enough hotel, very clean and reasonably maintained, though in a few years this is likely to slip. The rooms are okay, except that the lighting is appallingly badly designed, being in the places where it is not needed. Bringing an extension lead so as to make use of the light that is provided is recommended. I would not want to stay two nights in the town and the same goes for this hotel.

Well located, secure and friendly hotel”

This was my first time at Bonito Chinos. Staff were helpful, room clean and comfortable and breakfast very nice. Well located next to large shopping mall.
