This is my 2nd stay with friend in Koh Samui. So we chose another hotel this time with staying in the same Chaweng beach(Last time we stayed in Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa, very nice as well). We had a very good time in Buri Rasa though there was a construction work nearby during our stay in October, but not so much affection since we go outside for island travelling in daytime everyday. Below are some of my fun experience sharing with the ones feels interest to stay in Buri Rasa: 1. Very nice garden design, every morning, you'll find yourself waken up with plesant birds twittering on the treetops, a harmony of human and environment, terrific! 2. Detached house design with garden, traditional thai style, amazing! Especially for couples' stay for honey moon. 3. Super friendly and helpful staffs, very good service with sweet little surprise present everyday makes you feel at home. 4. Good location, easy access to the main street in Chaweng beach but find peace and silent inside the hotel. 5. Pary animals will find it too quiet in the night, since not too much fun night events as the other side of Chaweng beach. But my friends and I feel ok with it. 6. Only 32 rooms, good!

Incredible Staff/ Great Chaweng Beach location”

If you are looking to stay in Chaweng Beach of Koh Samui, I highly recommend staying at Buri Rasa Village Hotel. It's located in the middle of the nightlife area of Chaweng Beach, but once booked you'd never know unless you walk out the front door. The grounds are impeccable, rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the stay at this hotel is the service, especially from the Reception Staff. This service was the best I've ever received from any hotel or resort I've ever stayed throughout vacations through the USA, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Chile or Thailand. Every member of the Reception Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a lady name check me in, and anytime she saw me around the resort, her concern was that I was enjoying my stay at their hotel and on their island. Thank you!

great place, amazing staff, but not for families”

This is our first time in the Thai islands and as a family we didn't know what to expect in terms of choosing the right location. After talking with friends and reading a lot we decided to stay in the main beaches of the islands we will visit. In Koh Samui we chose the Chaweng area... Which turned to be a sub optimal choice for us. Very crowded, very noisy, smells all over the place and... Not much activities for the small kids (ages 2 and 4) and not a good infrastructure to walk around by foot. The hotel itself is AMAZING - great, big and clean rooms, great service, super friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. We got a re upgrade to the family suite room which was really awesome. We were so happy to get back to the ron every evening and find the daily surprise treatment they left us on the bed... But for us- we lacked the infra' for kids (eg - no kids pool, very small pool with not much space and shallow water area for kids to run and play, ...) Two other issues we had although I believe that these are somehow temporal and bad luck we had: (1) right next to the village there are construction works to build a mall or something like that. Our room (room #3) was just in front of it so we had some noise in the morning. Wasn't too bad and we even didn't complain about it since we were so happy with the room. I am sure that if we have raised it - they would move us to a better room. (2) the waves and currents in the beach on which the village is located we're so strong that no one could actually get into the water. They told us it happens once in a year and unfortunately we had a chance to see it live. Walking around the beach I did see other places (north to Buri Rasa) in which the situation was better and the beach was more suitable for kids. Bottom line - GREAT place, AMAZING service but for us it wasn't a perfect fit as we needed something more friendly for kids and we shouldn't go to the Chaweng area for what we looked for.

Keeps Getting Better Every Time - Never Fails to Exceed Expectations”

This was our third visit to Buri Rasa in Koh Samui and we simply love it - it never fails to exceed our expectations. Location wise, it's perfectly situated on Chaweng Beach, with shops and restaurants close by to explore. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed and offers the perfect oasis from the busy streets. The care and upkeep of the property is obvious and succeeds in transporting you to another world. It really is a little slice of magic. However, with all these positives, without doubt the best part about staying at Buri Rasa, is the wonderful dedicated, staff themselves. They make everything seamless and always go the extra mile - from the gardeners, pool & bar staff, chefs & servers, check-in staff, housekeeping team to the management team, and everyone in between – we can’t thank them enough for always making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Thanks again to Leon and his team for all they did for us during our stay – from organising a birthday dinner on the beach, to hot ginger tea for a sore throat, to the welcome back drinks and message in our room, and so much more - you truly make this a special place, and we’ll definitely be back.

Good hotel in in a great location”

The Buri Rasa is a particularly nice hotel. It's something of a surprise stepping off of Chaweng "strip" a very busy, noisy and colourful street running the length of Chaweng beach. Buri Rasa is something of an oasis as it is so quiet and peaceful. The rooms we had were very tastefully prepared, clean and well maintained. The massive benefit of this is though is that the hotel grounds run directly on to Chaweng beach, an absolutely world class bathing beach. In contrast to where we have stayed in Samui before not only do you have a fantastic beach but a really lively night life, dinning out and shopping location. The staff at the Buri Rasa cannot do enough for guests and are a credit to Thai hospitality. We like to travel to different places around the world but I think we will be back to the Buri Rasa Chaweng.

A perfect getaway in samui”

First of all I would like to really say thank you for the worm welcome . The staff are so nice and helpful and always with a smile and a wheel to help. The room was . We got a new decorative room with modern style. It was cleen and even had Netflix on the t.v. We had a problem with the air-conditioning which didn't work well and rouin a little bit the convenience. Also the bed was very small and we r not big people. Other than that Breakfast was great. Serve in a very estetick way. The beach is amazing. The location is close to many restaurants, massage shops and a few minutes walk to the central festival mall. The place is really value for money. Very suitable for families . No other place makes their guests fill more welcome and important as the staff and the manager of the buri rasa It's our first time ther in ko samui. And we've been before at the buri rasa in koh pangan. We will defently go back to samui. And still expecting for our last stay in buri rasa pangan in a week.

Enjoy an Upscale Bohemian Dream. ”

I have just returned from Koh Samui and normally do not leave reviews. However, I had to write something due to the incredible experience and value offered here. I visited in low season, so Cheweng Beach was wonderful. Pristine and a real treat. This hotel shines with tons of character and charm. A nice respite to the modern hotels flanking it on either side. The grounds are wonderful and as the name suggests, it is like a small "village." The beachside loungers call out to you with vibrant yellow umbrellas and the staff is super attentive, meaning a refreshing beverage is never too far away. For me both Khun Are and Khun Toi were outstanding. Gave service expectant of a hotel 10 times this cost! Buri Rasa ticks all of the boxes so save the money you would otherwise spend on a 5-Star brand and enjoy an upscale bohemian dream. You may never want to leave.

Genuine personalised service in a great location”

Staff were all excellent from the minute you step in, till you leave the resort. It's a relatively small establishment, so staff pays attention and knows you by person, striking friendly conversations. Location is great too, at the end of the walking street, so it's peaceful but yet near enough to walk to main areas in Chaweng like Central shopping area. Buri Rasa also has a nice beach right in front of it. Had a great stay in Koh Samui, thanks Buri Rasa Samui and the excellent team!

Koh Samui Trip”

My family and I had a wonderful time at Buri Rasa Village Samui. We stayed there for 3 nights.. Great hospitality from David and his team of staffs.. We see happy faces throughout the 4 days. Our first night stay there was the most memorable as they have a special event every tuesday. BBQ dinner by the beach with a fantastic fire show.. The atmosphere was so romantic. It's definitely a must try experience if you have a partner with you there. My boy enjoyed himself so much at the beautiful beach infront of buri rasa water was clear, beach was nice.. Thank you Buri Rasa for making our stay an exceptional and memorable one.

Lovely hotel, great location, and great service!”

my husband and i went our on honeymoon in thailand. we only had one night in ko samui and booked buri rasa last minute at a great rate. since it was rainy season we were did think the weather would cooperate so we didn't want to spend too much time there. we were wrong! the weather was perfect, the hotel was amazing and we were sad we only had one night here. we were even upgraded to a room where we had our own private pool! in all of thailand it was the only hotel that we had an actual mattress! the room was clean and luxurious. we both said if we go back to thailand we would stay at buri rasa for a week. it was a great location, only a couple minute walk from the center of ko samui, but also a relaxing place to stay if you just want to get away and not be in the craziness. highly recommend this hotel!

Great Small Resort, Great Service & Breakfast”

i managed to book a deluxe premium room at buri rasa through agoda, almost last minute and got a good discount. having called earlier to inform them of our honeymoon trip, we discovered our bed decorated with flowers, swan shaped towels and a greeting made with sticks. beautiful as it was, it meant more brownie points for me. our room was great; it was clean, well-sized and had its own balcony and comfortable seating. only concern was the bed was a bit soft which may cause problems for those with weak backs. the hotel has a cozy feel all over, and the ambience with koi ponds, trees, wood work and the clay pots and wooden ladle for washing feet post beach trip allow one to forget the otherwise busy chaweng beach area and become more a part of tropical thailand. buri rasa has direct access to the beach, and the sand around the hotel is kept clean. the hotel’s restaurant and infinity pool (decent sized) is also right next to the beach so one can dine and swim with a view. the highlight of the hotel, however, is its staff that is very friendly and helpful. specially chart, with his beaming smile and ability to remember the names of every guest. the management also leaves a note in the room every night with small thai treats for the guests to enjoy at night which is nice touch for tired guests at the end of the day. the breakfast buffet at the hotel is delicious, with a lot of choices and options for all kinds of guests, and there is a separate a la carte menu from which one can order eggs, pancakes etc. (included in breakfast package). other facilities include free wi-fi, guests parking area, mini lobby with a library of books and videos available for guests to borrow. the room was also equipped with all the facilities mentioned on the website and the turndown service was excellent.

Believe the rating. This place is worth it!”

I was looking for a resort in Koh Samui and was planning on going for a fancy 5 start but couldn’t help but notice the high rating for the Buri Rasa even though it was only a 4 star so decided to book and give it a try. We booked a deluxe garden court with dip pool. The stay was flawless. Comfortable bed, spacious room and the dip pool is pretty decent. The resort is well maintained and on a really good (and clean) part of the beach. It’s a lot smaller than most so you get a much more personalized service. It’s also is in the main part of town so there are plenty of things to see and do (and eat) right outside your doorstep. What really sets this place apart is the staff. They are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Little things like remembering our anniversary in a casual conversation and surprising us with an anniversary cake! You won’t get that level of service anywhere else. P.S, my wife was a big fan of the champagne at the breakfast buffet! We will be back.

Simple pleasure”

I had read numerous reviews about the Buri Rasa... and guess what?! They were right... the Buri Rasa isn't the most glamorous resort on Chaweng Road... but what you trade for shine is a clean, decent looking resort. The staff here are super nice and very helpful... the breakfast was a world ahead of so of the other places I stayed in whilst on Samui and Phangan (and those places were ALOT more expensive)... Trust me... you won't be disappointed.

Heaven on earth”

Walking into Buri Rasa Village was like a dream. The place is tranquil, beautiful and peaceful - which is amazing considering its location - right in the heart of busy Chaweng beach! We arrived two hours before check in and the staff were incredibly apologetic that our room wasn't ready. We offered to go for a walk to kill some time before our room was ready but they didn't want us to walk in the rain so they arranged an upgrade. This is just one small example of the extra effort that staff put in here - it really makes the place stand out. Breakfast was delicious, our room was idyllic and the pool/beach area is aesthetically very pleasing. This place gets rave reviews on loads of travel sites on the 'net and after staying there, it's easy to see why. You won't be disappointed.

Right from when we pulled up to the hotel after 17 hours of travelling, we were greeted with a friendly smile and a refreshing passionfruit cold tea. The room was beautiful and spotless and everything in the mini bar was complimentary which is always a bonus! You could have whatever you wanted for breakfast, from full English to full Thai traditional soups and rice which was absolutely delicious. We made full use of the happy hour and the food specials as we thought the food and drinks were a little on the expensive side. We explored restaurants outside of the hotel on the main road in Chaweng which we would recommend doing if you want something cheaper. The grounds were exceptionally well kept so it looked stunning! The staff were so helpful, friendly and attentive making our stay even more special. Overall if you don’t mind spending a little extra, we would definitely recommend staying at the Buri Rusa as it’s been our favourite hotel whilst staying on Koh Samui, Ko Phangan and Ko Tao!

Little village”

everything was fantastic with our stay at buri rasa. The staff and food service was fantastic, even the little evening gifts you received when our bed was turned down for us was a great addition. All of the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much of a hassle for them. When we return to Koh Samui we will definitely return to Buri Rasa, the only thing we might do is upgrade our room next time as the standard room is quite small.

Great Location”

On route to Hong Kong from Koh Panghan we had one night that we had to spend in Koh Samui. We made a reservation at the Buri Rasa Village Hotel. The hotel is central, close to the nightlife of Chaweng.and overall good. With all the options available, I would recommend the hotel.

Amazing Beach-Hotel ”

The Buri Rasa Village is a little oasis in the middle of busy Chaweng. With only 32 rooms the hotel is like a home away from home. You will find traditional style, peace & great service at the most beautiful beach of this part of the island. The seawater is absolutely crystal clear and the sand very smooth and white. The breakfast with its huge variety of tasty, high quality food is amazing. But also the dishes served at lunch and diner are very yummy. Try the Seafood-Set at the beach in the evening with fresh lobster, crab, fish and a bottle of wine. Book in advance to get one of the best and most romantic tables close to the breezy sea.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Buri Rasa. The food was the best we had in Samui. While the hotel is right in the middle of busy Chaweng, the rooms were quiet and felt very private. There is plenty of established lush greenery, so stepping off the beach into the village was like walking into a wonderful oasis.
