"Location: it's 10 mins walk to NTUC grocery, you can take the bus just outside the hotel ( use the back door gate ), bus stop 51,64,121 and 186. Bus 121 takes about 4-5 stops to Tiong bahru plaza (mall). Then take the same bus back to the hotel, problem is, you have to walk up across the skywalk and go down before you reach hotel. It's 5 mins by taxi to SGH. 2. Breakfast : very very very basic, rooftop, better to buy in the grocery and cook your own food. 3. Free mobile phone : calls to 5 different countries except Philippines 4. Please request for rooms near elevator coz we stayed at the far end 5. Room: it's very modern. Why? SMEG brand electronic stove top, microwave, sink. Free dishwashing soap and new sponge. Furama City Centre Hotel (SG Clean Certified)
Chinatown,Chinatown - View on map
"I booked this hotel for a stopover for 3 nights. My room was great, big and by the looks of things, recently refurbished with glassed off wetroom/bathroom and big window. My only criticism of the room (and possibly every room although I don't know) was that it was a tiny bit damp. I've experienced that a lot in hot countries including Australia and Malta (even in 5 star hotels) so it's not the fault of the hotel necessarily. It was totally clean and well-looked after but if you are sensitive to it with Asthma or the like, perhaps not the most perfect choice. Otherwise, it was great. Good buffet breakfast too. Although they could get a better white wine choice at the bar. Only one choice and it was a sweet one. Blah. The location, for me, was perfect. A hop, skip and a jump to Chinatown, across the road from a non-glitzy shopping mall with food courts called People's Park which I loved. That was full of massage places, frame shops for cheap glasses and some great food - especially directly across the road from the hotel at a little outside food place called Cafe 168 (i think) I ate much better and far cheaper there than I did in the outside food street stalls in Chinatown which were really overpriced. It's also a 10-15 min walk straight down Cross St to Lau Pa Sat, a beautiful old colonial building housing countless hawker stalls. It's famous, good and cheap, worth a visit. The hotel is also super-close to Chinatown MRT stop which is about 3 direct stops to Little India and other connections. All in all, a good choice for me and I would go back. "

Bliss Hotel Singapore (SG Clean, Staycation Approved)
Chinatown,Chinatown - View on map
"I've stayed in a few hotels in Chinatown and this was my first time at Bliss Hotel and certainly won't be my last. The bed and pillow are super comfortable, they include a smartphone for you to use with free data and free international calls! The location is superb as it is located right across the street from the MRT station and Chinatown Point, a mall with a very good selection of restaurants and shopping. Right next door is a Cheers and around the corner is a 7-eleven. The hotel is also in between two McDonalds in case you arrive late and need to grad a bite to eat. One of the McD is 24 hours. Everything was very clean, and the staff was very courteous. I would definitely stay here again!"

Link Hotel

"Humble and unassuming hotel located a stone's throw from a large spread of foodie haunts in nearby Tiong Bahru and Chinatown area. Top marks for their friendly and helpful staff. A bit noisy when tour groups check-in or out but management is aware and situation has improved. "

The Inn at Temple Street Hotel
Chinatown,Chinatown - View on map
"Pros: - Hotel location is very accessible, Chinatown MRT is just a few steps, street food hawkers & souvenir stalls are just around the corners. Money changer, 7-eleven, & McDo are also visible in the area. It's a full-package place for all your needs. - Rooms are very clean, beds are big enough, well ventilated. - With excellent water supply (with hot & cold shower). - Staff are very accommodating & friendly. - Place is very peaceful & secure. - We definitely love this place & we'll be back here again. Cons: - No bus is noted directly on the way to Changi International Airport. The fastest way is thru Chinatown MRT which is very convenient to ride. Just one tap of your EZ Link card & you're ready to go. Singapore really have a great transport system. "

Hotel Soloha @ Chinatown (SG Clean)

"Building is newly renovated, with everything inside sparkly new & clean. Loved the rooms; they're very well laid out, from the lights settings to the furniture design, I didn't felt it had anything missing. The mini-fridge, and locker were underneath the bed, which saved a lot of space in the layout of the floor. The mattress was comfy, soft by asian standards. The room even had a big screen TV. The best feature however, was the bathroom; it was very spacious considering the size of the room, with one of the best showers ever. Lights were good, and had an extra mirror with LEDs for make-up. There was a good hair drier in the room. The staff was very helpful and made us feel welcomed. Will stay here if I visit Singapore in the future. "

Cube Boutique Capsule Hotel @ Chinatown (SG Clean Certified)
Chinatown,Chinatown - View on map
"The hostel was pretty easy to locate as it was only about 3 minutes away from the Chinatown MRT. It is also located nearby the must sees in Chinatown and there is even a food court nearby though I'd suggest walking to Maxwell Hawker Center for cheap eats. Though this is a hostel, it has hotel standards in terms of cleanliness and facilities. The washrooms were always clean, there were shoe lockers outside the room and luggage lockers under your capsule. You're given a key card to enter your room and open your locker so security wasn't an issue. The capsules itself were very comfortable, though it would've been better if you could control the temperature in your capsule. The curtains provided good privacy. There's free breakfast and they have cheap beers for guests. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, answering any questions you might have. Though as a solo traveller, I found it hard to meet other people as no one really hung out in the common areas that much. Overall, excellent staff, good location, and clean and secure facilities. It felt like I was staying at a hotel. I would highly recommend this place for people to stay at. Even though it's on the pricier side compared to other hostels, it's definitely worth paying for."

Wink Capsule Hostel @ Chinatown
Chinatown,Chinatown - View on map
"Clean, comfortable definitely worth it. I've stayed in a 10- pod room and shared it with people from China, Spain and Japan, luckily they were all very considered. The key card that opens your room, locks and unlocks the compartment underneath your pod to store your belongings. Request a towel a the reception for only S$ 2 and they will also give complimentary soap and shampoo. There are around 6 to 7 shower stalls in the bathroom and there is a cleaning clerk constantly cleaning all the public areas. Help yourself during breakfast. It is obviously not a 5 star hotel spread but it is definitely a lot more than most hostels would provide; toast breads, jam, butter, peanut butter, cereal, milk, two types of fruit juices, coffee, tea and two types of fruits. Coffee and tea is available round the clock. There are laundry facilities and working stations spread across the place. For those hooked on their gadgets, there is wifi all over, and they also have net books . The Hostel is located just a block from the MRT Chinatown station and there are plenty of shopping areas and malls nearby. For the night owls, Clark Quay is within walking distance or just one subway stop. Again absolutely worth it. "
