Travelodge Hotel Manly Warringah Sydney
Manly,Manly - View on map
"There are not many motels on Sydney's northern beaches. Manly has a number of hotels but they are much more expensive. This one can be booked on the internet at 20-30% discount over the rack rate of A$140/night. You get a microwave, fridge, electric jug to boil water, iron and hair dryer. You even get bath accessories e.g. conditioner, shampoo, gel. The TV works. I did have problems with the heating because the controls are not obvious and although I pressed Heat On it only lasted 5 minutes then ran on fan only. The first morning I was there was the coldest we had for 5 years so I used the blanket from the closet doubled over and was still cold. Eventually I worked out that if you press Heat On then when it cuts out there is a number 0-9 you can increase by 1 and the heater stays on. What happens if you start from 9 I don't know. My guess is you set this unexplained number to 0 before you turn on the heater. They charge $10/night for parking in a somewhat secure lot. The good news is if you need to leave the car as I did you can pay $10/night versus $60 at the airport although obviously this is subject to available space. They have 120 rooms so there is a BIG secure parking lot. It isn't patrolled but there is a boom gate going in. They also charge $10 for 24 hours internet but if you own a mobile broadband "hot spot" they don't block it and I saw many were in use. Breakfast is $29 which I think is expensive but you have the equivalent of a kitchen and there are restaurants within one kilometre in Dee Why, including Subway."

Manly Pacific Sydney
Manly,Manly - View on map
"Our stay at the Manly pacific was fantastic! Read a few bad reviews about this hotel before hand and was a bit worried but i must say, the people who wrote those must be very picky with extremely high standards! Our room was great - really big, beds were comfy, parking was affordable with valet service, and everything was just so convenient, fast and easy! The lovely staff on the front desk even reccomended places we go for breakfast after telling her we were going to Dee Why beach in the morning. Location of the hotel was really nice, our room didnt have a beach veiw but it did have a great reflection of the sunrise and it was about 2 steps from the front door to the beach! Really nice hotel with a really nice price. I do admit the lighting was a bit strange but once you find all your lamps it's perfectly light enough :)"

Quest Manly

"It's a bit pricey, but so is everyplace else of quality in Manly. And the location is perfect, across the street from the ferry to the city, and a very short walk to many shops, pubs and restaurants. Very comfortable rooms, and the staff were very helpful. "

The Sebel Sydney Manly Beach
Manly,Manly - View on map
"I stayed @ The Sebel for 2 nights we had a1 bedroom kitchenette room with balcony, it was quite spacious and clean. The view was a let down and I found the general hallway to the room on level 3 to be dated and unattended too with rubbish sitting on the floor outside and in need of new carpet and a good paint. The staff were very professional and the location would be the best in Manly. Overall I enjoyed my stay however a makeover would give you a more enjoyable experience and a bit more value for money."

Q Station Sydney Harbour National Park
Manly,Manly - View on map
"After a long drive from Brisbane it was a great relief to finally arrive at the Q Station, North Head, Manly first impressions were great. You are greeted by wonderful views out over Sydney Harbour, in the distance you can quite clearly see the tall buildings of the Sydney CBD. After accessing the gates to the complex, you follow a long drive down to the reception area of the hotel, an old but wonderfully restored building that was obviously the centre of operations during the the Q Stations hey day. It didn't take long to finalise the check in process and make our way to our room, the only drawback here was the walk from where you park your car to your room with your bags, being a conservation area, vehicles are restricted to certain areas only. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by two neatly furnished rooms, one for the bed, the other with a lounge and t.v. and, although I was aware that the room didn't come with an en suite, (Wife didn't) it was just a few short steps to your own toilet and bathroom/shower, not too much of an inconvenience I thought. At the rear of your set of rooms, was a long veranda which overlooked Sydney harbour and the approaches to the Manly ferry terminus, lovely views. We had three nights at the Q Station, North Head, breakfast was included and was an exceptional spread, although the same food was on offer for all three mornings, I particularly liked it as it had all the usual favourites, sausage, egg, bacon, mushrooms etc. We enjoyed our stay at the Q Station but unfortunately there was one disapointing night during our stay, Thursday and Friday were fine but, on the Saturday night, the complex had a wedding reception to the left of us and a 50th birthday party to the right, the noise this night was unbearable, especially when we had to be up early the next morning for our drive back to Brisbane. Even though I complained about the noise, music went on until at least 1.30am, I was previously assured that it would terminate at 11.30"

Stoke Beach House
Manly,Manly - View on map
"I only booked for three nights but ended up staying for more than a week. The location is amazing just steps away from beach. The breakfast is the best I have ever had at a hostel much more than the usual toast and jam. It's clean and modern and overall the atmosphere is very chilled and homey with lots of like-minded peoole staying here. Will definitely come back when I'm in Manly again next time!"
