    Family warmth in Paradise!”

    Beautiful boutique hotel. Serene inner garden with pool. The giant tree in the garden is beautiful. Hammocks to take deep fat naps. Rooftop deck with a great view of the sunset from the elevated crows nest platform. I enjoyed a great sunset with my fiancé from there. Best part of the hotel is the cleanliness. So so clean and fresh. Location comes a close second. A block from the laguna. Few more blocks to the central square. Blocks from all the great nightlife. Walked everywhere within minutes. they can also help with booking the local tours. The owners are also operators. They are wonderful people including there staff. Would stay again without hesitation.

    We loved our stay in Bacalar and Casa Chukum.”

    Casa Chukum is full of thoughtful details that really enhance the charm of visiting Bacalar as a whole. The garden and rooftop outdoor spaces are lovely, water and tea are available, the pool is refreshing, the interiors are creatively curated and the staff, owner and her family are helpful and welcoming while allowing you to enjoy and explore at your own pace. The location is fantastic - near the lake access (unfortunately the main municipal balneario was closed due to renovation during our visit), a short walk to the town center and fort and most importantly close to so much great food! Masa Madre is not to be missed! The one downside is the hostel next door keeps super loud bass music going into the early hours in the morning. Once you close all your doors the noise reduction is pretty good, but earplugs might be needed for some people. A white noise app took care of it for me. The space was clean, stylish, comfortable and from arrival to checkout was filled with those little touches that make for a memorable stay. We absolutely recommend Casa Chukum for your Bacalar visit.

    We spent 2 nights at Casa Chukum and Deboah, the hotel owner, was the best! She helped us so much in organizing, answered every question patiently and provided outstanding and super friendly service! The rooms are also very nice and clean, the beds super comfy and the breakfast rich. We totally can recommend!!!
