My usual hotel was fully booked so i was reccommended the y hotel - it was excellent. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, a good location near to the redfern station. Only a short walk to chinatown and all the delights of dixon street. Scruffy murphys pub which has the best value entertainment and meals 7 days per week and close to darling harbour with all its fun and beautiful sights and good deal pubs. A great walk down george street to the rocks and circular quay for more live free music in almost every pub plus a huge variety of restaurants then it is a pleasant stroll or bus ride back to the y hotel to crash. A big free continental breakfast in the morning. Great place to stay - can hardly wait to go back and do it all again.

The room was big. Kitchenette was a plus. Contained whatever you would want a kitchenette too. Bowls, utensils, microwave, etc. Bed was comfortable. Came with extra pillows. And bed was huge for 2 people. Lady at counter was very friendly and helped my friend with her bag. She insisted she helped with the heaviest one even tho she is pretty skinny. Toilet was clean and came with everything you would ask for. Location was in central area and there are many convenience stores nearby. A grocery market called Metro is nearby. Central station about 10mins slow to medium pace walk away. Highly recommended!

Had a late check-in as we were returning form overseas. The hotel doesn't have staff on the desk late but organized access to our key which was great.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Well set up apartments that are clean and have a comfortable bed. Central station is in walking distance (about an easy 20 mins to Darling Harbour) to central Sydney. New shopping center, hotels and restaurants about 10 mins walk so very handy. Would stay here again as it is good value for money.

We booked this hotel because it is across the street from the Central Station that takes you to everywhere with one train and no connections, including the airport. This is very time saving when you are in a big city, trying to catch various sightseeings. We also booked because of the great price. There's no lobby. You check-in with the bar-tender who are very friendly. The hotel side is surprisingly quiet. We had barely any noises from the street. No noise from the train and from the elevator few feet away from the door. For the comfy bed, clean bathroom, basic room, time saving location and affordable price, it was a great choice. Highly recommended.

this apartment has everything u need and the help of staff if there is anything else that is required beautiful outside 2 sit back and relax with a bbq area and pool 2 enjoy i would certainly be back again and will be bringing the kids with me the location is perfect with a short walk to the train station and only 1 stop away from central station i certainly would recommend this hotel 2 anybody whether with or without kids beautiful and very comfortable stay thank you classic will certainly be back in the near future

Our stay at the Central Private Hotel was great! The hotel clean and safe. we booked twin room ensuite bathroom. The room was beyond our expectation. Actual room way better than the picture they provided on agoda web. There was a computer with internet in my room and we used it a lot to search place of interest in sydney, our beds were super comfy, bathroom was clean with enough space for toilet and shower plus there was a sink with cabinet and free complimentary teabags/coffee/sugar. Part of that, the staffs were very helpful and friendly. The advantage of this place is it just across from central station. overall, we will definitely choose Central Private Hotel again! Thank you! we enjoyed our stay.

Good location for train and bus links at Central station, also near to supermarkets and cafes. Rooms are cramped but with comfy beds and large lockers and key card entry. Decent number of showers that are kept clean, be aware the reflective tiles make your shower not so private... Plenty of toilets and sinks too. Cooking facilities and common area with a TV are way too small for the number of people, always rammed and full of people lazing about watching Netflix. Good social activities organised in the evenings including free meals, but make sure you're there early as it all disappears in the first 5 mins, mainly as longer term residents are very aware of the schedule. Reception staff are helpful and friendly, large number of volunteer staff who were a bit too focused on getting jobs done than being friendly e.g. going straight into rooms when people had checked out to change sheets even while people are sleeping before check out time and making moving around in a tiny dorm harder

I expected better for a 30 dollar hostel in Sydney. Overall, the facilities weren't very clean or well-maintained. My female 8-bed room did not have air conditioning, and the beds creaked every time you moved a centimeter. It was very annoying and disruptive. In each small building of rooms, there was one bathroom, and they weren't nice. There was a big bathroom with showers on the ground floor, but you had to walk through the main areas and by the patio area. It was inconvenient and awkward. The good things were the patio with tables where most people were social and friendly; a kitchen with free breakfast (toast, cereal); and the hostel is a 5 to 10-minute walk from Central Station. Before booking this place, I'd search--there are nicer hostels for a similar price and/or also around Central Station.

A horrible experience. The lounge room don’t have lockable balcony door. It’s broken. We felt very unsafe at night. Supposed to have been cleaned but bathroom ensuite shower had dark brown built up soap scum filth all over it. Previous occupants hair was all over the lounge Previous occupant half used soap left in bathroom No soap or toiletries supplied Only Half roll of toilet paper was supplied No tea/coffee/milk available 4 chairs on balcony, all broken Balcony was filthy with built up dirt look like it had not been mopped for months Laundry from previous occupant left on balcony. Place is riddled with mouldy smell Girl who greeted us insisted on getting in my car to show car park space and smashed my passenger door into pole when getting out of car, leaving scratches on it. Car park is a major mould health issue. I was beyond disbelief at the this apartment. Can u please contact as I am demanding a full refund. It ruined what was supposed to be a wonderful weekend.
