wonderful trip!”
I absolutely loved Chang pai resort. It was about a 20 minute walk uphill from town, but worth every step. I spent my days in the hammock reading, Lounging by the pool, and my nights down in the city. They even bring food to your bungalow!! I will be back!

Great stop over for 2 Nights!”
The staff were very helpful. It was never to much trouble for them to make you feel comfortable!! We asked for an extra duvet as our room was quite cole the evening before and this was delivered to our room in minutes. The location is only 20 minutes walk from the main city maximum. The swimming pool is lovely and has sun lounges for days you wish to chill! Will definitely return to this place if we go back to Pai!!!

Very basic bungalows, not the best deal”
This was the first time I booked through Agoda without having read any reviews (as there were none on this) and I must admit it was probably not very smart. The owner (I assume) is a guy who speaks no English whatsoever. However, when we arrived in Pai I asked in a restaurant to ring up the resort and he was kind enough to come to pick us up and he also gave us a lift before we were leaving. However, otherwise count that you will have to arrange everything in Pai. The resort is located some 2 km from centre of Pai which is fine. We have no idea if it was possible to rent motobikes in the resort, however, I assume it was not. The resort itself is very very basic. There are no amenities, except for internet which regularly collapses, but if you tell the owner (he understands "internet not working") then he resets the rooter and it is usually ok. The room itself in our "villa" was extremely outdated, with quite bad smell especially in the cupboard which we thus did not use at all. However, it was spacious enough to fit comfortably two people, with a small balcony. The bathroom attached is very basic and kind of filthy. The advantage is that you are really in a quiet place and you just walk ouside and are in a garden. The breakfast which is served in the common sitting area is nothing more than toast and jam. As we did not like our stay in Pai at all, probably as we came in a period that there is nothing to do except riding a bike in 40 C, as it was very dry with no possibility of trekking or rafting, it probably reflects our negative attitude on this resort. Despite personal sympathies towards the owner, I do not think this is the best place and probably there are better options around for similar price.

Relaxing stay”
Excellent location just about 1km from the centre, easily accessible by scooter. Wonderful bungalow just hidden in the jungle and rooms next to a quiet running stream. I've stayed in bungalows before and had terrible problems with insects/pests and nearly always the bathroom; but water was always hot, room itself was cosy and staff always on hand at breakfast to help. For a couple it's just what you want, and had a reasonable price as well. Would recommend to friends.

Really nice place for almost nothing;)”
We stayed 3 nights in bamboohat for 42eur So you can't expect luxury, there is swimming pool, looks nice It has good location, outside center so it's quiet and peace full, you'll need a motorbike, They offer transfer from and to center Of course you'll find ants in bathroom, but I think it's normal in Thailand;) And of course you'll need a anti mosquito in the evening, Pai is a really nice place, north of Thailand is just amazing, food excellent All Thai are super nice and polite, but at the north it's all the same but better;) Lukasz

Not bad for the price paid”
The resort is really close to the center of town. If you rent a motorbike (150-200 thb a day), you can get to walking street in less than 3 minutes. The pool is also quite nice and the staff are helpful. The accommodation itself is pretty bare but I wasn't expecting luxury for 500-800 baht a night. Overall good value for the money.

Quiet Location to relax”
Hotel located hidden on the mountain but there was a big sigh that you can see on the main road before you turn right to Wat Phatat Mae Yen. Room that I got were the Cottage. There were cute decorate but one thing that I don't like is the bathroom are over your head. If you should renovate. I would love to go back there again.

10 Minutes from the Pai Action”
This was my 3rd time in Pai. Nice pool to chill at when you get to town. Motorbike needed, or there shuttle, 20 minute walk to center. Really nice staff, not just on there phone 24/7. I would go back. Comfy bungalows, good wifi

super nice staff!!”
Our room got upgraded.. the breakfast was awesome, with nice, fresh views... we had rooms with fan booked... it was not hot at all, super comfortable temperature... it is not far away from the city centre... you can easily walk there.. the staff were super friendly, they wore smiles on their face all the time.. Last day we booked taxi to the centre and had to go back to Chiangmai by van but it didn't show up.. the staff took us to the centre immediately and helped us found that travel agency... otherwise, we could have missed the van.. (because there's no address or tel. on that receipt).. We recommend taking their service..

Very good for a budget”
I had a lovely stay here. The area is a little out of town but it's possible to arrange a taxi with them for as little as 30 baht. It's quiet and peaceful. I booked the cheapest possible room on agoda and this was a lovely bamboo hut next to the river within good reach of the wifi and breakfast included. You won't find anything cheaper in the area that includes breakfast and has a pool. Few mozzies in the bathroom when I arrived but having taken them out on the first night I wasn't bothered anymore and there is a large net provided for the bedroom just in case.

Simple comfort ”
Stay was exactly what I wanted. To explore Pai but be away from the scene. The location here is natural, quiet and traditional Thai style. Nothing fancy, but well done.

Cheap way to get privacy”
It is an affordable way of getting privacy and certain level of comfort. Nice and cheap way to have a get away with your valentine. However, huts has wooden floor and no isolation and during the night it literally gets freezing inside. In Pai, in February, temperature difference between day and night was getting up to 20 degrees. And we got really uncomfortably cold in these huts. That is the only down side. They have a nice swimming pool that you can chill and read a book. Overall its a fine place except getting cold in the night.

ok since its the off peak season, not too crowded.”
My first trip to PAI, and I was a bit lost due to resort being out of town, but ok when I find my way around on a rented bicycle.

Beauty view”
We had the top bungalow with a great view of the valley. Pool was small but very nice. Included breakfast was basic but generous. Wifi was fast, satellite tv had a few english channels. Cheap scooter rentals at the bottom of the hill, which is useful as it's a couple km's from town. Bed was lumpy. Overall a great value.

Friendly & quiet ”
Standard double room has no view of mountains. Water is not hot enough for night time shower. You might need an extea blanket for your bed cause the matess is not covered properly. Location is a bit far from Pai downtown if you prefer to walk. Resort offers taxi service by their tuktuk or van and it costs 30BHT one way per person until 7:00 and it cost upto 200BHT after 7:00pm for return pick up service. Staffs are very friendly & breakfast is good. Quiet & peaceful.

Wouldn't stay again”
We arrived and all was fine, a bit hidden away but we were going to rent a bike anyway, we were allowed to check in early so we got to our room but went straight out to get lunch. When we returned we noticed our room was riddled with bugs. flying bugs all over the bed, ants and mosquitoes. We stepped outside and there were swarms of black and red ants everywhere and giant black and white mosquitoes and you couldn't close the windows because the hut was so old. We asked to change rooms which was no better. We had to shake the curtains out as they were filled with half dead bugs but you could close the windows. The hut is literally falling apart. The adjoining bathroom has come away from the hut so there are cracks and holes everywhere. We wouldn't have stayed if it wasn't late and we didn't have a tour booked the next day. There is no restaurant, the pool is surrounded by bugs so you don't want to sit there. Basically we stayed 2 out of 3 nights, we were constantly squashing ants in our room, we would not recommend and you can find lovely bamboo huts round the corner or down the road closer to the town centre for the same price or better.

disappointed”
I stayed at Chang pai two weeks ago and had a fantastic stay! I decided to return for a second visit and was very disappointed. This time, the bungalow I stayed in was very small and had holes in the floor. The door handle to the bathroom was broken off, and the hammock was just tyed pieces of fabric. One of the main reasons I came back here was the free breakfast and over the course of two weeks they changed their policy and now it costs 45 baht. The staff is still very nice, but I was disappointed with this visit.
