Beautiful Place”
Really nice ambience and great staff. Nice beach with corals and fish. No WiFi though. Also no activities or snorkel gear for rent which would have been nice.

Rule on "no bringing in water" (because they have their own bottled water for sale at Php40 sucks!! ”
I went with family including my 75-year-old senior citizen mother, to celebrate her birthday. We had also kids in the group. Basically, as it was an outdoor trip, water would presumably be of necessity. THE RESORT DO NOT ALLOW BRINGING IN WATER! the reason i had in mind was because they have their own branded 350-ml bottled water for sale at 40 pesos. Firstly, it should be a violation under government regulations for resorts and hotels not to provide safe drinking water to the customers. This is actually dangerous, as they could face dehydration, heat exhaustion and other heat-related issues which could be severe to lethal. They just dont seem to care. Further, another weird thing for a prestigious and nice resort is that the crew are not friendly. They dont smile even. It is just unfortunate for this great place.

Very good experience”
We stayed for 2 nights and 2 days,we really appreciate them being receptive to previous negative comments. We were given complimentary bottles of water, shampoo, soap and toothpaste, our cabana was very comfortable, our kids enjoyed the beach and the infinity pool.Aicel our staff in charge has been very accommodating from day 1,food was good ,the ambiance was perfect,we would surely comeback and will spread the good things we experienced in Chema by the Sea Resort

Value for Money!”
This resort is nice, cozy, and clean. The beach front is small, so you can take advantage of Samal Island much better by renting a boat. The rooms are clean and cute! The staff are very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an affordable and cozy place to stay. :)

Relaxation haven”
The place is really pretty and reminds me of the resorts in bali, indonesia. The rooms are really cozy and the service are personalized with your own "butler" ready for assistance .

i love this place!”
cottages are cozy. staff is superb! water was clean, clear, and very swim-friendly? :) it even has a saltwater pool for those iffy about the big dark blue sea. they are actually expanding! one more pool solely for guests staying with them. the surroundings are very zen! it's like bali in samal. i hope the daytrippers will be more mindful of their behavior though, most of them leave trash lying around. not just an eyesore but also bad for our seas! please, let's help keep chema's beautiful

Only good for an overnight stay”
Place is quiet and good for an overnight stay. Nothing more. Food is mediocre and not much option. No potable water to drink; you have to purchase bottled water. No wifi. No coffee/tea/kettle in the room. Water in the bathroom is weak; sometimes there's no water at all. You can swim at the beach during early morning or early evening when the water is high. Otherwise, it's just a patch of sand and rocks.

Great for a quiet escape”
The resort is well-maintained, and staff was friendly and accomodating. TV channels are limited and no wifi provided. Our room was clean and housekeeping was efficient. They also provided extra blankets for free. Pool was relatively clean, although could be improved. Beach area was small but clean, and good for swimming. However, it can be a bit crowded on weekends as they also have day tours. In terms of food, it was a bit pricey as expected. Breakfast (coffee and drinks not included) and combo meals were good, but skip the pica picas. Also, they provide bottled water everyday to checked-in guests, but do not provide service water at their restaurants which is a con. Boat service to/from Waterfront hotel is also fairly efficient but is a separate charge. Overall, a great relaxing stay.
