Great place to be ”
I really enjoyed my stay at Chiang Kham Grand Villa. For the price I paid, i got a really clean room, great location and a FREE light breakfast (toast and coffee). Its ideal for a quick stop over or a long stay. The owners spoke great English, we were able to talk and they recommended things to do. Would definitely be back again soon!

Exceptional”
First of all, this little town is kind of in the middle of nowhere, so to find a clean and comfortable room for a reasonable price (750b for "deluxe") was a pleasant surprise. Very functional layout with plenty of desktop space, AC, fridge, comfy bed, nice TV (Thai only) plenty of power points, hot shower, and a small balcony. Wifi was stable. Large carpark, which is needed due to the size of the hotel. Staff directed me to an excellent restaurant about 500 meters due south on the same narrow roadway of the hotel entrance. Great food and live music.

Disgusting business sense by a manager with no regard for paying customers ”
The manager of this hotel is a disgusting snake. Booked and paid online for a room with a king bed and 2 singles, but when I arrived I was given a room with 2 singles with the explanation that the room I had booked and paid for were sold out. The receptionist phoned the manager, he explained to me that the room I had booked had been booked out before me, and not taken off the booking site. I was mildly disappointed and mentioned/ expected a compensation refund to reflect payment to the room that I was given. I went to room, unpacked, showered, and then the receptionist came to my room with the manager back on the phone. His solution to this minor problem was absolutely disgraceful. He proposed that I be moved to a room with one king bed, if I paid and extra 25% on top of what I'd already paid online!!!! I declined his most 'generous' offer, laughed at his outrageous suggestion and stated I would leave a bad review. It caused me to bypass this town a week later, disgraceful behaviour!
