Wonderful resort and value for money onsen”
The breakfast and dinner was great and included in the room rate. The onsen was the most sulfuric onsen we have tried in Hokkaido. I loved how we got to use their sister hotel's onsen - and personally find Choyo Resort Hotel to be a better place to stay compared to its sister hotel.

This place is quite popular”
This resort is really packed on the day I’m visiting although it’s not a peak season. They must be doing very well to attract such crowd. Although it’s packed, the chefs are professional and quick enough to replenish all the food in a timely manner. Although the hotel is quite dated but they make it up with their hospitality and customer service.

Nice view of autumn leaves from our room”
We stayed one night in the japanese style room, it was spacious enough for 4 of us. The futon bed was comfortable, and the view was lovely, we get to see the autumn leaves of different colours on the hill right through the window of our room. Dinner and breakfast buffet was nice, the food variety might not be as many as some other onsen hotel, but they taste quite good to me. I didn't went to the onsen, but according to my family members who did, the onsen was nice.

Front staffs are professional. They are able to recommend and answer our question quite reliable and reasonable. Bus between sister hotel make our life easier to participate "Sounkyo Miracle Illuminate" even though the Event itself is small and unattractive.

Memorable place to stay while you are in Sounkyo. Great atmosphere. From the room, if window is opened, you can clearly hear the beautiful nature sound of the stream down bellow. We even spotted deers came down from the mountain to drink, what a rare sight to behold. Room itself was nice and clean, albeit on the small side but quite adequate nonetheless. we have booked the room with beds on the flloor (Don't know what do they call this type of room) and get to eat breakfast and dinner at a Swiss restaurant, considerably less crowded that the main restaurants where Chinese tourists were gathered with long queues. Onsen was great as well as souvenir shop on the ground floor which stays open till late.

have sent email to agoda, ask agoda contact hotel for free shuttle back to sapporo. but after arriving, hotel informed no such email received from agoda. yet luckly lastly still got available seat free shuttle back to sapporo

5 mins walk to Ice Fall Festival”
Modern Japanese Twin Room was clean and comfortable. 5 mins walk to Ice Fall Festival and 7-11 was just opposite. Onsen was nice! Not many choices for dinner (please do not expect the food much if you more focus on onsen quality) while it was better for breakfast. There was a “bingo” game at night 8:30 where you can choose your prize among the prize list when you were bingo! The game atmosphere was very good when there were a lot of people to join. Better to book the free shuttle bus via Agoda instead of internet as their website was always not working for the booking. Overall it was a good and relaxing resort!

hotel provide shuttle bus to the sounkyo festival . Public onsen is great .. they have great international buffet dinner and breakfast. you must try thier ice cream in thier buffet corner. (rich -milk taste) . we have a great scenery during our breakfast when you can see snow falling outside. beautiful

While the reburished room (modern Japanese) was very comfortable and lovely, the toilets were very badly cleaned. The bathroom had an malodour. The onsen facilities are good and the views are very good. The food is good but make sure you go at least an hour before they are done because they stop restocking / making sure the food is hot.

Nice hotel with superb Hot spring”
My room is Japanese Modern style, the room is clean, the hot spring is really nice, you can enjoy the snow mountain view no matter how strong is the wind, gd design. The food is just fair, but I am not asking for more by this price, Sure I will come again
