It's not easy to find accommodation as spacious as Citadines in Kyoto, or in Japan as a whole. The great thing is the kitchenette which has got everything you need to prepare a simple meal. The easiest meal to do is shabu shabu. Fresco is nearby, so there's no headache in finding fresh local ingredients to prepare our meal. Overall experience is marvellous!

Excellent location and services ”
We arrived early, and we’re allowed to leave our luggage for check in later at night. They also gave us all 5 rooms next to each other. Great services. Its just next to subway exit1, McD, Yoshinoya and 7-11 excellent location

Bright and Airy”
The staff were pleasant and polite. The room was bright and fresh and the beds comfy. There is a laundry in the building a quite handy for that mid holiday clothes refresh. The hotel is about 3 stops away from the main Central Railway station. Too far to walk so either train or taxi recommended. The nearest train station is 1 minute form the building. Although we found we walked most places. We enjoyed our stay here. The price was reasonable and if we ever went back we would probably stay there again.

A well equipped service apartment”
The hotel room is clean and comfortable, size is spacious. It is equipped with a pantry and cooking utensils and we can prepare simple breakfast. Location is ok, 3 minute walk to Gojo station, 15 minute walk to Kyoto station, 20 minute walk to Gion.

Pros: Very clean and the rooms are big. Cons: breakfast was below average and the location wasn’t fantastic, however it was only ¥210/ 5min subway train ride to Kyoto station and one of the main shopping districts in Kyoto. The Subway station was located directly out the front of the hotel.

Good location and excellent room size and facilities”
It is like a hotel service apartment. Hotel is located just near Exit 1 of Gojo station. Elevator is available at Exit 6 which you need to cross 2 roads to reach the hotel. Excellent service with helpful and polite staff who can speak fluent English. Room is spacious with open kitchen and ironing facility within. It is quite rare to find a hotel with this room size. Just some negative comments that the pillow is too thin and uncomfortable to lie on. We asked for two more pillows through service call. Besides, we need to pay hotel accommodation tax when we arrived and we have no idea about this. Overall, it is an excellent experience to stay in this hotel.

Great Base in Kyoto”
Excellent location to explore Kyoto. Great soba place just steps away from the hotel and convenience store just across the street. Spacious and clean room. Pillows are too flat and uncomfortable. Otherwise, the stay is perfect.

Clean and convenient”
The hotel was very conveniently located for access to the Gojo station which is just one station from the main Kyoto station and provides easy access to other areas such as the busy river area which was about a 15 min walk away. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was nice and modern

Big rooms and clean ”
Bigger than most rooms in japan. Very clean and bed was mostly comfortable. There is a train station right out front which helps a lot in the winter as you don’t have to go far.
