Excellent accommodation and location”

The Citadines (Sukhumvit Soi 8) offers accommodation as a hotel and serviced appartments for the longer term stay. I have lived in Bangkok for 18 months previously, and as I was only returning for two weeks, I didn't feel the need for anything too authentically Thai. For this, the Citadines proved to be perfect. Located in the Nana area (a 10-minute stroll from the BTS station, but a regular Tuk-Tuk service is provided by the hotel when feeling lazy). The building is clean and modern, with a (small) pool, newly-fitted gym, flat-screen televsion and DVD player in each room, air-conditioning etc. I stayed in the basic room, which I was extremely impressed by (having only paid £21 per night through Agoda). The room is partitioned by a sliding door, separating the bedroom from a lounge-kitchen area incorporating a sofa, desk, stove, microwave etc. Everything appeared to be brand new as of my stay in August 2009. The wet room and toilet were also furnished with high-quality fittings. In addition, the staff were extremely friendly and available 24 hours. Each spoke perfect English. A restaurant is based on the ground floor, with an outdoor eating area opening onto the Soi. However, I cannot comment on the food standard as I did not dine here, being only a couple of stations away from Siam. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and an absolute bargain.

Great location”

This was my first stay at the Citadines Bangkok Sukhumvit 8 (Sept '09). I chose it because it was new. I have stayed on Sukhumvit Soi 8 many times. I have since booked two more stays at the Citadines Bangkok Sukhumvit 8, one for 4 nights and one for 9 nights - if that tells you what I think about the hotel. The rooms have everything I need: a mini kitchen for my longer stays, free internet access to stay in touch with the home office, family and friends, and are modern and comfortable. The staff have always been friendly and helpful.

this is the second time i have stayed in citadines sukhumvit 8. i find he rooms are clean, comfortable, well laid out and well equipped. its so great to have the option to be able to prepare your own food if you do not wish to go out. the location is in a area of sukhumvit 8 with easy access with the hotel taxi service, to nana station. the staff are professional, friendly and from my personal experience go the "extra mile" citadines sukhumvit 8, after trying several hotel over the years, would be my preferred choice.

Citadines Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok hotel is the best i have ever stay , the service staff is good and the design of the hotel make us very comfortable . they also have tuk tuk to bring us out and we also don't ned to wait long time for the tuk tuk, as for the room is so comfortable it really let us feel like staying at home . the room is really good design and everything we need they all have it really nice to stay in this hotel.

Great value for short term stay”

have stayed at other citadines in past. great for short termed (1-2 days) stays. breakfast is ample with eggs to order. the rooms are small with little room for suitcases. if you plan on staying for a week in bangkok, find a facility with more room. if you have more than 2 suitcases, you will be putting them on the sofa, there is no other place. they have a tuk-tuk up to sukhumvit which is on call all during the day and night. most facilities have a schedule. citadines takes you up to sukhumvit when you want to go. a real +++++. everything is new and modern. soi 8 is only about 3 blocks long and a dead end and has 2- 7/11 stores. quiet soi more residential than commercial.

Citadines Bangkok Sukhumvit 8”

We stayed at Citadines Sukhumvit 8 about a week ago and was very happy with it. We thought it was excellent value. For the price we were expecting less but were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. The standard room comes with a queen size bed, LCD television, complementary internet access, a kitchen with all the utensils you would require to cook a simple meal and a nice sitting area. The room was exceptionally clean. The hotel has a very small pool, a decent weight room, and a launderette. We ended up doing some laundry and the machines are industrial machines that clean and dry very well. No detergent but you can just buy some in the 7-11 across the street. The staff is quite friendly as well. Overall, I had a very nice stay and would definitely return.

Good place to stay”

I have stayed at the Citadines Sukhumvit Soi 8 twice-Nov 09 and Feb 10. I have already booked another 10 day stay. The hotel is clean and the staff helpful and accommodating. There is a free shuttle service to and from the Nana BTS station. For longer stays there is a Foodland across Sukhumvit to purchase groceries and 2 7-11 convenience stores on Soi 8. Citadines Sukhumvit Soi 8 is an ideal base for my BKK stays.

Have stayed at "Citadines 8" every time I've visited Bangkok over the last twenty years and rarely been disappointed. However, last time I visited, over a year ago, the hotel was badly in need of refurbishment and was not in good shape. I was thus hesitant this time but took a chance and glad I did. The premises have been completely refurbished and the room was excellent. The staff at reception were excellent also and could not do enough for the guests The hotel is some 800m from Nana BTS and the hotel provides a 24hr shuttle service to and from so you are in the in the heart of Sukhumvit but a mere tutut ride away to peace and tranquility.

A pleasant stay in Bangkok”

My recent stay at Citadines Bangkok Sukhumvit 8 was a pleasant one. I was alone on a business trip, so I did not need a luxurious accommodation to enjoy staying at with my family, but needed a comfortable 'nest' where I could rest peacefully after meetings at work. Citadines was a perfect one, as it is clean and new, and the room is very functional with a kitchen and a DVD player - and it is reasonably priced. The location is convenient on Soi 8 of Sukhumvit, with a number of restaurants and shops (e.g. Seven Eleven's) close by. It is almost a 5-minute walk to the Sukhumvit road(BTS Nana station), which is not a long distance and indeed a good walk at night or in the morning when it is not hot. During the day, however, it is not a short distance - but then, the hotel has a free tuk-tuk service to Sukhumvit, which I found most useful. While breakfast was not impressive and was rather basic, it was OK to fill my stomach before a long working day (coffee was rather good).

Great Stay at Citadines 8”

I shopped around a lot for a place to stay near the Sukhumvit zone and finally decided on Citadines 8. Initially they were outside of my target price, but they were running a special that made it palpable. It is a new hotel (as of 2009) so I had reasonably high expectations. In fact, my expectations were exceeded in one important aspect: my room was dead quiet at night and made for a great night's sleep. The room was bright and clean. With modern furniture, a stove, toaster oven/microwave, dishes, pots, fridge, ironing board, and safe. All the things I needed and more. Washroom was not big, but nice and new - an important feature for me. Staff were pleasant and helpful and the reception spoke reasonable english. They do have a small gym and pool. And onsite washers and dryers which was nice to be able to do a load. Breakfast had only a moderate selection, but they did have great coffee. The one major drawback is it is far from Sukhumvit Road - which turns into a plus for quietness. They do provide free tuk tuk service to and from so not really a disadvantage. Located close to Nana skytrain station which gives you access to all the major points in the city. I would and will stay here again. Good value in the end.

Best Hotel for under ”

this is not the first time i stayed in this hotel. due to work reason, i frequently need to travel to bangkok. and among all the hotels that i have stayed in bangkok, citadines 8 is the best one in terms of staff, room and most important of all, price. i have went there so much that, now even the staffs knows me well too. they even remembered my preferences, like non-smoking room, high flr, and most important of all, soft pillows. they have very complete amenities such as laundry, gym and a open pool. very nice to chill out during warm nights with a bottle of beer. definitely a good hotel to go to whether you are on business or holidays.

Excellent 2-bedroom accomodation”

We are a family of 4 that stayed in Citadines 8, located at the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok. The hotel room given to us was really a very well layout accommodation suited to our needs, such as: 2 bedrooms (1 for my husband and myself, and 1 for my son and the grandmama), kitchen, dining table, free internet, living room with wide TV (but with no HBO, Cinemax), separate bath & comfort rooms,and the free tuktuk going to the main Sukhmvit where you can take a train.

Citadines Sukhumvit soi 8 is very conveniently located in soi 8 which is very nearby to the Nana BTS station and just across the road you can reach SOi 11 where many nightspots/pubs/lounge are located. All rooms are decorated stylishly with a huge LCD TV and fully equipped kitchen. I am also particularly happy about the friendly and smiley staffs who make my stay in this apart hotel comfortable and conveniently. This hotel is like a home away from home.

Clean and comfortable hotel on quiet soi 8. ”

I had a pleasant stay in Citadines soi 8. I had a suite with seperate bedroom, living room and kitchen. Very comfortable to stay in. Staff were very attentive and polite and allowed me to check in a few hours early. The location is down towards the far end of soi 8 away from the main sukhumvit road, its a quiet soi with a few restaurants, and a couple of bars up near the main road. There is a free tuktuk service put on by the hotel to get to the main road, or its a 7 minute walk. BTS Nana station is also located near soi 8 on the main road for easy transport around the city.

Consistant Service Apartment”

I have stayed at 3 different Citadines in Bangkok and I have found them all to be consistent in terms of service provided. This particular Citadines is situated down a quiet soi, a short distance of around 300m to Sukhumvit where you are immediately at the foot of the escalator to Nana BTS station. There is a tuk tuk to take you to and from the hotel and Sukhumvit as well. The apartment is fully furnished with a kitchen that includes toasters, kettle, microwave, hot stove, knives, plates and utensil. There is always security and staff around, elevators can only be accessed with the security card, and front door is locked after 10pm and require security card to be inserted to open.

everytime i stay in Bangkok, i always stay here. its soooo nice, that everytime i return, the receptionist,(who's name i cant remember),always remember's me, and my name. there cant be many hotels in the world, that will rememeber you by name. and because of this, and other things, i will always make Citadines Soi 8, my #1 hotel in Bangkok. a free buffet breakfast now seems to be included in the price. it may be a little bit far down the soi, but they do have a free tuk-tuk, to transport you up and down the soi. this hotel is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...A+++++

This is a Great Hotel in a Good Location”

i have stayed at citadines, soi 8 many times. i cannot find anything bad to say about it. the rooms are very spacious, both the studios and the one bedroom. the location is great. soi 8 is a very quiet street with very little traffic. it has many fine restaurants and bars just a casual stoll up the road or a short trip in their tuk tuk. nana train station is also at the end of the street. the staff are always courteous. i have found their rates to be the best value for money in bangkok. whenever i visit bangkok i now only stay at citadines, soi 8. i obviously would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great Service @ Citadines Suk 8”

My wife and I had planned to spend 4 days in Bkk,first week of July 2012, with me primarily playing golf and her, obviously shopping and spa visits. Citadines Suk 8 fulfilled the criterion set : easy access to elevated highway, close to shopping destinations, choices of eateries, near the BTS, not too close to the bustling Sukhumvit Road. The complimentary tuk-tuk to main road is a given for hotels to attract repeat Bkk visitors. The room is a bit small for a couple, but its design is functional and we were never long enough in the room. Amenities were all there in the room - hairdryer, iron/ironing board, cutlery, plates, etc, very useful indeed, with very clear guides on how to use the facilities provided. The availability of wi-fi allowed us to comfortably remain in contact with home. Staff were very helpful-directions to targetted shopping centres, temporary storage of shopping bags, recommendations for eateries. We were impressed the Citadines Suk 8 kept in touch with latest hotel developments - keyless, no access to other floors other than your own. These "little" things are attention-to-detail which gives the assurance than Citadines knows its clientele. We would really strongly recommend to others and consider it being our base in Bkk for our regular breaks there.

Great little gem @ soi 8”

A lot of good things about this place if you are a solo traveler. All personnel are really friendly and helpful in the best way. Cleanliness is good, however they forgot to clean one of the days I was there during my two weeks stay. Food at the restaurant is pricey and I would recommend the many other places (KIWI down the road serves big sizes to reasonable prices). There is a small but okay gym and a roof top pool with a nice view. Citadines is located a the bottom of soi 8 so there is a bit of a walk, however, they offer free shuttle to and from Sukhumvit. BTS station located at the beginning of soi 8 and Nana entertainment area is 10 - 15 walking distance away. I will book this place on my next travel to Bangkok
