Extended Stay America Suites - Houston - Galleria - Uptown

"The hotel worked well for me. I had a conference next door at the Royal Sonesta. I choose this place because it was advertised to have breakfast included. I was there 4 nights and there was no breakfast any of the mornings. The story is that Extended Stay America requires them to.order breakfast items from a specific third.party vendor and this third part vendor was out of stock with the breakfast foods. There was nothing for breakfast it wasn't like one item was missing. We did have good.coffee and got chocolate. Nagy, the manager seemed to care a lot about the hotel. When I checked in I asked about an extended check out and Nagy told me to let him know if I need it and that ”he.can likely workout out for me” I called the.front desk to extend checkout and was told if I stayed 1 hour late it is a charge and 2hours late is a extra night charge. I am uncertain if the promises of breakfast and an extended check out is the norm knowing it will not be available or not. Nagy is nice but....."

Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center

"Having just experienced Hurricane Harvey, you'd think every hotel in town would be ecstatic to have you for a reasonable price (yes, even at the Hilton)! Staff friendliness was exceptional but the clientele was what really killed the mood. During check out I was rudely cut in line by an older woman who just visited the bar and was in need of a shuttle. During my dinner at Shamrock there were multiple complaints from "regulars" about the food menu needing an upgrade and how they might need a new chef. My room either had paper thin walls or the woman next to me genuinely couldn't hear whomever she was on the phone with. My room was clean and comfortable but the overall experience was a C+ at best. Renovations were taking place but the whole establishment needs a facelift. Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical center, you really let me down. "

"Our check in was delayed and we were dismissed and told to come back in 30 minutes. The bed was very uneven and made noise every time movement was made. The sheets were rough and stiff; the fitted sheet was so old the elastic was completely spent and it would not stay on the bed. 2 of 4 mornings we were there the grab and go breakfast lacked food entirely. Also, obviously not the fault of the hotel, but the amenities listed on Agoda are not consistent with what the facility also has to over. This needs to be updated. "
