M Roof Hotel and Residences

"M Roof is the best hotel in Ipoh & is worth every penny. The room is modern & clean. Bed was comfy. It has 2 cafes on Ground Floor; Old Town Grand & The Morning After. The only thing missing is gym & pool facilities but if that is not your priority, M Roof is definitely the place to stay especially if room is the most important part of the stay."

"I booked this hotel last minute for a staycation, I was impressed by the great hospitality that the front officers gave to me during check-in & check-out. They have free parking on the premises. The room, toilet, bed, floor are all clean except the desk in the room kinda dusty but thats okay because i bring my wet wipes to wipe it all. The thing that I like the most is the PILLOW!!! honestly, the best pillow ever, i feel like i want to buy the same pillow as this hotel hahahaha pls let me know where yall get the pillow bcs i would want to buy it for myself. Overall, it was a nice one night staycation in this hotel. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family to stay here when theyre in Ipoh. Thank you so much :)"

Tower Regency Hotel & Apartments
Ipoh City,Ipoh - View on map
"Stayed only for one night but very staisfied. Booked 2 rooms with interconnecting door. Mainly due to room size which size is quite generous, each bathroom got bathtub and best location to explore Ipoh city. Also we got complimentary parking at lower floors. Tried the swimming pool and quite like it, not too big or too deep. Bfast is also not bad and hotel staffs were very helpful. Recommended to all. "

M Boutique Hotel
Kampung Kuchai,Ipoh - View on map
"This is one of the best boutique hotel in Ipoh and the price is extremely reasonable. This hotel is decorated with modern mixed Europe steam punk design which is very unique. The hotel staff is very friendly and kind. The breakfast is quite good but it's have limited choice but the spread is fair enough. The hotel room is quite nice but just a little small, for those who is big size i would advise you to book a bigger room. The hotel is in good location. Overall this is one of the best hotel in Ipoh."

MÙ Hotel
Ipoh City,Ipoh - View on map
"It was a great stay at Ibis Styles Ipoh Hotel. A few friends and I decided on a 1 night Ipoh trip and this hotel was a great stay. The place looks really new and with a very contemporary design, especially at the sTreats restaurant. Sadly we didn't have time to check out the bar also. Only downside I can see is in terms of the parking as there is very limited parking in the underground carpark, but you can park outside. The hotel is also very close to the main Ipoh town so it's easy to get anywhere and the hotel was very easy to find also. All in all, a very good trip."

More about Ipoh

Ipoh made its mark as one of Malaysia’s main cities after the tin mining boom of the 19th century. Hotels of the city are competitively priced, and some would say many of the 3-star and 4-star properties are rather generous with their ratings. The city’s best architecture is to the west of Kinta River. This area hosts British colonial government offices and a Ipoh Railway Station.

One of the city’s greatest attractions would be the caves and rock formations. Perak Tong is one such cave, housing over 40 statues of Buddha and many murals. Sam Po Tong and Kek Lok Ton are a couple other similar attractions. White water rafting, jungle trekking, and exploring the surrounding area are also popular things to do in the city.

Shopping opportunities in Ipoh aren’t as abundant as other Southeast Asian cities, but they do have their fair share of specialties, including fragrant biscuits, white coffee, and pottery. The Pasar Malam night market moves around the city from night to night, and the Memory Lane flea market offers imitation goods, antiques, and local souvenirs.

Visitors enter the city via Sultan Azlan Shah Airport from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Buses also provide a popular means to arrive.
