Find Hotels in Ise, Japan

A very short walk so it is very convenient. Check-in is on the 2nd floor. Very nice hotel with great friendly, helpful staff. Basic amenities such as hand soap, razors (he- she(pink)), combs etc. They also have a colored pillow amenity rack. Elevators require the use of the electronic card which selects the floor for your room automatically. Rooms are not as crowded as the older business inns. A humidifier was in the room. Large flat-screen TV mounted on wall and nice counter space for working on computers. 6:30 a.m. healthy Japanese breakfast buffet requires a coupon. It also has a "YU" or hot spring public bath with separate areas for men and women.

This is my second time staying in this hotel. I find the stay ok but not as enjoyable as the last trip. Everything appears to remain the same as previous trip in terms of amenities and services. The host and staff is still as helpful though they really went out of the way previously in their hospitality (eg arranging for shuttle service to train station to shorten travelling time) but less so for this round (we were told to take a later train when we realised the train is departing in 10 mins and for us to walk to train station with our luggage would mean missing the train. ) due to language barrier, we couldn’t get recommendations with alternative routes and had to try searching for alternatives ourselves On the whole, the stay is fine.

We arrived late and it is raining. The first time to Ise so seems not a good start. The reception manager ( I guess ) gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. We were so glad to have his assistance in booking a good restaurant for the Matsusaka beef ( a good choice at reasonable price for the quality ), and his introduction about the hotel. The onsen is not big though, we enjoyed very much. It is not at downtown but it won't be a bad choice in any case.

We were well received by the driver of the ryokan at the JR station. All check in procedure was done swiftly and efficiently. A Taiwanese lady was arranged to take care of us throughout our 2 days stay to ensure effective communication. The 4 meals we had were professionally prepared with good variations. The place was spotless clean and the onsen was remarkable. The sightseeing points are within walking distance. We were very pleased with our stay there.

Although we stayed at a room without a private toilet or bathroom, it did not create much inconvenience at all. The ryokan was about 3 mins walk from the train station (from memory, exit from the Platform 1 side and turn left when you walk out of the station). The staff were super-friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious, the futons were very comfortable - more so than many of the beds that we had slept on in Japan. The breakfasts were served in our private dining room and they were delicious. Iseshi was pretty quiet during our visit in late November and we had a peaceful and beautiful time staying in the area. Some of the nice memories were brought about by the pleasant stay at Hinode Ryokan. Everyone at the Ryokan was very friendly, and 'Asasa' who took us to our room and explained the amenities to us, deserves a special mention.

Hotel just opened on 23 May, so everything is brand new. So new that the hotel cannot be located on GPS using its phone number (use 0596250522 which is the supermarket next door to locate the hotel). Room is the smallest I've seen in my travels, but has practically everything you need for an accommodation. Located near to a major road in a suburban area, beyond walking distance to major sights, so it feels more like a motel than hotel. There is a supermarket next door, and some restaurants (including a MacDonalds) along the major road. Staff speaks some English and is very helpful and friendly.

First, may I express our appreciation and gratitude to Minshuku Yamato, also with its host and staff. Those 3 nights stay give me and my family a incredible memory in our trip. The location of the Minshuku is very nice, just a minute from the nearby JR station and also 10 minutes by JR from a transport hub (Iseshi 伊勢市). The environment around the Minshuku is peaceful, you could enjoy to take a walk in the small town (二見町). The first impression that give us is a historical Minshuku, it witness the change of three era (昭和、平成 and now coming to 令和). Although the appearance of the building is seems like old, there are all necessary, clean facilities in inside. When arrival, the host warm welcome to us together with his cute dog (Yama やま). The host's English is very good, he is a conscientious and attentive person. Breakfast and dinner are tasty and like a wonderful feast and will change dishes in each day. No pick-up, no reply even request on email. Include meal but did not tell you drinks not included, did not show u drink list but then charged u at the end. Had a small child and two luggages but refuse to give you a lift to Ise station when check out when i request. Told me to walk 5 min but nearly 15 min with luggages and child. Don,t understand why Agoda said last room when it had only our family to stay at the hotel.

I highly recommend Hoshidekan - really friendly and helpful staff, location is good (10 minutes walk to the Ujiyamada or Iseshi station - 15 minutes if you take your time), and one of the most charming places I've stayed at in Japan. The place is constructed as a ryokan in the middle of city, and it allows private baths at the onsen (it's a shared onsen, but you go in individually), and though you sleep the traditional Japanese style (mattress on tatami floors), it's still really comfortable. If you're staying at Ise, don't miss this place. :)

I booked just one night in a single room but I can tell is a nice place. Perfect to visit the two famous shrines in and nearby Ise-shi, is very near two train stations and the aforementioned cultural area. Also the town is little but kind of nice. The guest house is a cozy and warm place, full of atmosphere especially evening time. Essential but nice room with tatami and futon, slept well. Shower and toilet ok (they even have Toto!) Large kitchen with free coffee and tea. Last but not least everyone is friendly and easy going. Would return there again.

With Futami Rocks and the Ise Sea paradise within walking distance, the hotel is not difficult to find. The hotel staff is particularly helpful, especially when I was wandering in nearby Toba after 5pm, missing the last bus and finding no taxi. The room and onsen bath are old-style, but decently tidy and clean. The meal is unexpectedly marvelous, served by an old lady dressed in kimono, accompanied by Kabuki background music. It must be a very famed onsen hotel decades ago, I feel the glory on everybody's face.
