Stayed for two days and the hotel is located right next to Fort Amsterdam. Great food and fantastic staff. However, the incessant need to smoke cigarettes in Indonesia, a trend that undoubtedly will change as the public cost of cancer and throat diseases will increase beyond acceptance, and albeit I stayed in a non-smoking room, I noted a significant smell from the adjacent room(s). This was a disappointment for an otherwise absolutely beautiful stay, and the chance to observe the Makassar sunset from 20 floor in the ‘Gravitas’ lounge.

The room was clean and tidy but minim facilities. Room space quiet small. The water quality was not too good. Aircon (room 1020) was noisy. Nice design of pool but quite small. The food variety and taste just standard. Overall just standard and feels like 3 star/budget hotel even its categorized as 4 star hotel in agoda apps (compared to the other 4 star hotel in Makassar). The last, check-out process takes more than 7 minutes.. They need improvement actually.

There are lots of new hotel in Makassar now. But my parents and our bug family always want to stay here. It's a big hotel, the swimming pool is one of the best in Makassar and we got good clean room. The staffs are friendly even though sometimes they seemed in a rush. We always get complimentary Markisa juice which really good and so Indonesia! Did I mention Clarion's breakfast which cater international and local foods in a big spread buffet? We will come back again, for sure.

Frustrating stay at the Myko. Won't be back here as there are better hotels in makassar. we were meant to stay there for 4 nights but ended up moving to another accom and glad that we did. our electricity supply keeps turning off and on every 10 mins, frustrating communication with the staff and lack of knowledge did not help. I.T was meant to come and fixed the room problems but no one ever showed up nor cared so not recommending Myko. lots of restaurants in the hotel but the ale-cart food was expensive and couldn't eat it. only good thing was the bed was comfortable

I’ve stayed in more than 20 different hotels in Makassar already, and Pesonna is one of my absolute favorites, especially for the price. It’s the best value for money! Very clean rooms, very nice and helpful staff, delicious room service (with the best pisang ijo in all of Makassar!) for great prices. This place is really cheap for what you get. I’d recommend it to everyone! The WiFi is a bit slow, but everything else is amazing

Going to makassar and spent 2 nights at melia makassar, hotel was quite new, location was good near to ratu indah mall and lots of cozy restaurant near hotel. Room was quite spacious and the facility was still new. The cons for this hotel was the parking building. The road in the parking building was so narrow and made it difficult to reach the parking floor. The breakfast variety was good and delicious

The room is pretty small although comfortable. Mini bar is free, which is pretty good when you find yourself suddenly in a meal crisis and need to have a quick bite. The staff is not so professional. We arrived quite early at 6.00 am in Makassar after a tiring overnight bus trip from Toraja (Rantepao). Upon checking-in at 7.00 am, we headed for breakfast at the Losari Beach, which was located a stone-throw away from the hotel. We returned at 9.00 am and I immediately asked whether the room was available, to which I received an answer it was already available but due to the hotel's policy, we would be allowed to enter the room at 02.00 pm. Early check-in was allowed but we had to pay extra Rp. 250,000. Since we had a lunch appointment at 11.00, I refused to pay and decided to put up a strike by sleeping at the seat just across the reception desk. At 9.30, they allowed us in.

This is a modern 4 star hotel with sufficient facilities to do business. Each room s equipped with enough and different power points to accommodate different systems from Australia, USA, and Indonesia. This eliminates converters which are often not effective. The internet connection is very stable, with the option to increase the speed if necessary. The staff are so helpful and efficient. They will go out of their way to assist in a most pleasant ways. The food offering in the restaurant is extensive, covering dishes from Europe, Orient, and all over Indonesia. The hotel is located in the CBD, next to banks, shopping centers, the famous Losari Beach, and offices. I recommend this hotel most highly to anyone going to Makassar. You will not be disappointed!

for the first time i stayed in aryaduta hotel makassar, i feel so nice since the hotel located in the center point of the most beautiful site in makassar. the somba opu, the very famous trading center in makassar is located only 5 minutes by walking from the hotel. i can enjoy the very good view about the tanjung bunga tourist center both in night and day. the breakfast time in aryaduta hotel in makassar is so nice impressive. i can choose both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food for my breakfast. the menu is so complete and fresh. the west menu is also available in the hotel. the hot or warm water for bath is always available in the room. it is so good for bathing after swimming that also ready for enjoying every time in the hotel. this hotel is not only appropriate for the business people but also appropriate for enjoying the rest time together with the whole family

I've stayed in other Novotel's in Indonesia. The brand offers good value for money. But this gem in Makassar was the best value for money hotel I've ever stayed in in Indonesia. I put it higher on this basis than the excellent Mercure Subang in Jakarta. Right from the beautiful lobby level to the wonderful and cheerful staff to the suoerb modern (only basic price level) room, and its level of comfort and perlengkapan, to the pool to the airy, comfortable restaurant where we are a high quality breakfast . . . . I simply could not believe my good fortune in choosing this brilliant hotel. Please stay here if you are able. The Novotel Makassar is a functioning top draw advertisement for both Accor and Novotel Indonesia but, above all, for the wonderful designers, staff and management of this gem. It was just like home - however, better!

Its was a enjoying and relaxing times at sahid jaya. The staff are friendly and helpful. Since its our first time there, the staff showed us how to get to the places of attractions at Makassar by the cheapest way thats is by becak (trishaw) or by angkutan kota (town bus). The rooms are always clean and the breakfast is delicious.Especially the pisang epe and the coto makassar which was the specialty that we must eat at Makassar. The Ratu Indah Mall is just next to the hotel. They have Addidas outlet,women boutiques,Matahari and even Cold storage. They also food court, 24 hr Macdonald. pizza hut, KFC and alot more.The hotel has a location and a good service.

Amazing n lovely hotel in Makassar. I always travel to makassar and have stayed at many good hotel in Makassar include some 5 stars htl. However, this one is really different and outstanding in its service. Excellent Service , excellent and friendly staff, very good location, very good food. They upgrade my room to an excellent room with "Free Upgrade". and also put me on a new renovated room the first day which is not yet for sale as there is really no htl room avaialble all over Makasaar and they call all their network but no avail, cause of a visit by President RI to Makassar, furthermore they give me half price from the sales price coz there is toilet renovation is under progress. They really all out to service and help the customers who are in needs. I am really appreciate for FO Manager and team so much for their help. Keep up the goodwork guys. Many greatful thanks.

I was staying in junior suite room which has mezzanine layout. Interesting. Everything is right in place, clean, lux materials from such hotel. King bed is upstairs with flat TV, you get sofa bed downstairs with flat TV too. Power plugs are everywhere, it's the combined with light switches but most of them can't work. Plus the light switches make it harder to plug in. Bathroom is rather small. The shower area is packed so it'll definitely make the toilet bowl wet. The other downside is that we can hear the noise from outside or next door room. Breakfast is good, lots of variety, local and simple international breakfast, plus they have those Makassar traditional kue for you to try. They have swimming pool and gym too. The gym is very small, they only have one treadmill and one bicycle. Was about to swim in the morning but they just put in the chlorine so I didn't swim. Location is good, though it's not next to Pantai Losari, the main tourist spot there, but it's still walking distance. There are some traditional food stalls around you can try like Pesona Jalangkote, and there are shops that sell local snacks and souvenirs. They have shuttle service to Fort Rotterdam and other tourist attractions within 5 Km for free, but I didn't manage to try. It is definitely worth the price to stay in this hotel while you're travelling in Makassar.

The hotel location is quite strategic if you would like to explore Losari beach. 30 - 45 mins drive from Airport. 10mins walk to Losari beach. The room is quite small, but nicely designed and functional. Staffs are friendly and effective. Hotel can arrange airport pick-up for Rp. 175,000/car/way, it was perfect for us to avoid the hassle with airport taxi. Plenty of eatery around the hotel area. Recommended for short stopover in Makasar.
